OOC: I am looking for a Rebel recruiter to get Darasr involved with the Rebellion and out of his misery.

It was late night on the planet Termius near the borders of the shipyard which made up most of the City, a group of hunters were sitting in one of many bars and cantinas the city had to offer.

Alcohol spilled over the table as the three eyed Gran, glass still in hand started swinging his arms and announcing ``I swear it that crash site must be full of loot´´ his fellow table mates sprouting between two and three eyes giggled and waved the youngling off. ``No … no listen … listen to me´´ he continued in his drunken state `` I mean why not? They crashed so the crews dead, and here … here of all places spare parts are worth a fortune … and … and let’s not forget all the other potential loot to be found´´ The short Gand sitting next to him made an odd approving sound as he took another breath from his inhaler. The leader of the group a black haired Bothan waved off the two smaller creatures and explained ``Listen that ship crashed at least a week ago and so far its been untouched why do you think that is?´´ the last member of the group a dark green Verpine nodded to the leaders word and set his drink down to add ``Clearly there is something up with that wreck otherwise it would have been looted long ago, don’t you see that´´ The Gran known as Al Tam replied courageously `` Well we’ve been through enough together to take on whatever it is hidden in that ship if there is anything at all, I mean if everyone said there’s something wrong with that ship let’s not raid it then no one will right ?Right? Am I right?´´ Aryon the Bothan and leader of the group sighed as he looked over to his Verpine friend Para who shrugged, than back at the rest of his crew and then finally nodded `` Alright boys we head to the crash site by tomorrow afternoon spy it out till darkness and the go in and out quickly… quickly you heard ? ´´ The smallest of the group the Gand by the name of Veebosch squeaked again in approval as the group of four clashed their metal cups together once again spilling all over the table.

The next day

eata-1432460535-70316-full

The crash site of the ship which had been topic of the groups debate the night before was located a few kilometers outside of the cities reaches in a barren forest. The group of four stood atop a small hill eyes pinned on the large grey ship in the middle of the crater a few hundred meters ahead of them, the ship was around eighty meters long and of a Corvette class there was signs of an oval shape near the middle of the ship but it was overall to damaged to make out further details. Its snout was buried deep in the forests soft ground while the rest of the ship disfigured as it was lay flat in the middle of the crater, what stuck out most was a rather large hole in the ships side which also served as an entrance, what made the whole group uneasy way the big red cross that was drawn over the arch like entrance clearly signaling to stay away.

As the group descended into the crater, blaster and tools holstered but ready for action they mustered the ravaged area, aside from the damage that the ship had made on crashing there were huge claw marks along the ships side and on the few trees still standing. A few minutes later they stood in front of the entrance shaped hole, the red cross seemingly drawn up with blood towering above them like a bad omen. Aryon swallowed his fear and noted `` Alright boys in and out, Al you stay in front your eye sight will serve us well in the darkens, Veebosh and Para keep your tools ready if Al gives you the sign take whatever it is apart and I’ll keep us covered in case anything happens´´ with those words he readied his blaster and loaded it with an energy cell.

The group entered the darkness of the wreckage; the only source of light came from the sparks of electricity that would bolt up every few second and originate from different cords hanging around like branches in a jungle. It was difficult even for the Gran to clearly make out their surrounding but he believed to be walking along a corridor, twice they tried to open doors along their path but both times they failed they had no other choice but to continue along the singular path. This continued until suddenly natural light from the red nebula that glowed in the nights sky revealed a large round open space in the middle of the ship, its inside were completely wrecked as there were signs of a lot of metal frame work that had collapsed in each other and now pierced out of the ground, the ground itself to their surprise was soil meaning that the space ship must have had a large sphere in the middle of it which acted as the control center and upon crashing was now a rather beautiful bond between machine and nature. The whole crew hopped out of their hallway onto the earth beneath them, the grey poles standing horizontally and poking out of the dark brown soil acted as metal flora and paired with the red nebulas light and the robotic buzzing created an astonishing site.

As the hunters slandered thought the needle forest a voice hissed from the shadow ``What do you want? ´´ the voice was clear and commanding each of the four sentient beings completely halted in movement, none dared to breath. The voice spoke again now closer ``Thiz iz the lazt rezting place for thiz onez comradez you have no place here´´ Aryon mustered his team aside from his Gand friend whose emotional state was had to tell everyone else had panic in their eyes. No one dared answered or reply to the mysterious voice, the setting of heavy footsteps could be heard but it moved to quickly to pin it down, half a minute went by and Al Tam build up enough courage to open his senses and try and make out where the voice came from, the outline of something huge just a few footsteps in front of him made him stumble backwards as he yelled ``There! There!´´ Aryon acted almost immediately firing multiple blaster shots into the direction, the humming of the shots was followed by the appearance of a huge tailed silhouette that seemed only visible for a few seconds before disappearing again, everything had happened quickly and Aryon needed a second to orientate himself, looking over to his Gran companion a cold shiver ran down his fur, the goat like mammal was no more instead only a puddle of blood and gooey insides splattered over the ground and poles was left. ``Run´´ yelled his Verpine friend and together with the small Gand they raced to the hallway they had come from, Para made it their first but just as he reached the safety of the tunnel he was swept of his feet by the massive whatever, the huge beast now revealing himself to being of reptilian nature in the red light, was easily two meters tall and must have weighed more than two hundred kilos, the frail hunter clenched between its jaws it shook its head violently ripping through the insectoids exoskeleton and finally tearing him in two accompanied by an ugly cracking and the sound of ripping flesh. Aryon panicked again he fully relied on instinct now, he grabbed his last reaming alley by the back of the neck held him across his fury chest and with feline grace leaped past the reptile, than dived under the creatures swing clearly noticing the razor sharp claws and scaly muscular arms, he raced down the corridor, he ran and ran, till he saw the light of the exit and even when he was outside the ship he continued running, he ran till he saw the safety of the city.

The story of the huge beast in the wreckage of a crashed ship watching over the deceased crew became a running rumor that spread throughout the cantinas and bars of the city. But few to none would dare and go see the wreckage of the ship for themselves, and none dared to enter it.

Eli awoke as a pleasant ding rang about his quarters, he responded. "This is the Captain." Elijah Hardin captained a group of four. Dan, a YVH combat droid upgraded with synthskin and the necessary software to incorporate it into his mainframe. Torie and Beata, lovers and Morellian Enforcers both. It was their mission as per instruction by the Morellian Commonwealth Parliament to seek out the rebellion and aid it in its aspirations for legitimacy. Their journey had taken them across the galaxy and back more than a few times by now. Upon returning from a political matter on Darknell a mystery would present itself.

Dan replied to his captain. "Sir, we have picked up an S.O.S. buoy. Seems to have been jettisoned a good time ago, weeks, possibly months. It says there had been some type of action. Sorry captain its degraded and mostly unintelligible. However, It did say they were going to try and make an emergency hypserpace jump to the Terminus System."

Eli smiled and pressed the contact at his bedside, "Terminus huh? Thats funny, I literally just finished reading a book about Terminus, had a real strong foundation. Good book." The scholar reflected a bit then brought himself back to the situation. "Well, recover the buoy and set course, we have no standing orders with the rebellion and those souls may still need some help."

"Aye Captain."

------------

It hadn't taken them long. The VCX-820 combat freighter, Susannah had already been on the Hydian Way and it only took a small correction near the Corellian Run to arrive promptly. Local customs protocol was simple. Terminus was a major source of trade and economics. The traders ruled the planet and the consumers financed it. If you wanted to buy or appropriate something high-end, Terminus was the place to go. Eli directed Torie and Beata, who were sharing piloting duties by the time they arrived, to set her down near a freighter heavy part of the city. Eli shook his head as he descended the boarding ramp. If there weren't a better place to get information, he may not have a substance abuse problem. He scoffed at himself and lit a cigarra, turning to his crew. "Torie, Beata stay with the ship, yeah? Dan, you're with me. We're going to the pub"

Dan-L, Daneel, or just simply Dan, was Eli's closest friend. From their first encounter when Eli had to interrogate Dan-L as a witness and subsequently deputize him to solve his creators murder, to the relationship they share now, Dan had been a cornerstone in Eli's existence and the man didn't know what he'd be without the machine.

After a brief walk, filled with offers to purchase, hire, transport, or do something that involved commerce, they finally reached the spacer cantina. Eli hadn't time to beat around the bush, the rebellion would undoubtedly be calling upon him soon and he needed to be ready for when that happened, he had scored a major diplomatic victory on Darknell and there was word he would be sent to Sullust soon. After ordering a drink, receiving it, and tipping generously, he asked the barkeep, "Just ran across a buoy out in space saying a ship under distress had attempted an emergency hyperspace jump to Terminus, here. Hadn't been recovered or recalled, so I figure it went uninvestigated. Have any idea what i'm talking about?" The cantina got very quiet all of a sudden and the hair on Eli's neck began to raise and his flesh tighten and a chill ran down his spine. That was way too much sensation for one response to a question and Eli didn't like it. Someone spoke up, a bothan.

"Yeah, I know what you're talking about. You're talking about suicide."

The Morellian tapped Dan on the shoulder and nodded to the barkeep as he took his drink, got up and turned without asking and sat down at the bothans booth. "Tell me about this suicide, friend?"

"I ain't your friend and if you know what's good for you, you'll stop asking about that place."

Eli responded, "What place is that?"

"The crash site you idiot. Where that ship you're talking about went down? You're talking about the one from about a month ago right? Of course you are, ships don't crash just everyday you know. Yeah, me and a few buddies from this here bar went and checked it out about a week after it crashed. That was, oh I don't know, about twenty days ago? We were almost all killed, luckily me and my friend here got away."

The Morellian lowered his head, "I'm sorry for your loss, but please, I would like to know the nature of the danger."

"It's a monster. Plain and simple, spacer. You want to die, go check it out."

It was a long shot, but Eli had to try, "Will you show me where it is."

"Kark you you kriffing imbecile! No way I'm going back there."

Eli reached across the table and grabbed the bothan by the scruff of his neck and slammed his face into the counter, drawing his pistol with lighting fast speed and stuffing it into the mouth of a friend of the bothans as Dan simultaneously drew his and turned at Eli's back and held down the whole bar. All movement stopped. Eli spoke slowly and calmly as he pulled his barrel slowly from the friends mouth and threw the bothan back in his chair. "Now listen here. I've been very polite, you've been very rude. I pride myself on my abilities to be diplomatic and customary and kind. You sir, however, have made a sheb out of yourself and have yelled, swore, and been rude to me at every opportunity, and guess what? I don't like it. I won't allow it, and you're going to stop. If you don't I put a new hole in your friends head to match the one at the front of his face, he'll be like a kriffing speeder tunnel for the flies." Eli shook his head, that one got away from him. "Anyway, stop being mean or I'll kill you. Understand?" The bothan nodded and his friend slumped down in his chair. "Now tell me where this crash site is."

It had taken no more persuading for the bothan. He revealed the location and Dan and Eli returned to the ship. Elijah directed Beata to put Susannah down in a clearing nearest the coordinates. Terminus was primarily a large commercial planet with many skyscrapers and other tall buildings, a hub of economics. There were, however a few pockets of foliage around and the ship that had crashed just so happened to fall into the middle of the deepest one. Susannah finally touched down. Checking his scanners, Dan was visibly computing, "Captain, the crash site is due south about three clicks. ETA considering terrain is roughly two hours." Torie and Beata had finished locking down the ship and came down the ramp .48's holstered and blaster carbines in their hands. Dan had decided on a marksmans rifle today. Eli though, sported the lever action heavy slugthrower that the residents of Mos Kire had given him a few assignments ago. It didn't have a large capacity, but it did pack a significant punch. It was know throughout tatooine as the "Ronto dropper."

"Let's move."

The trudge through the brush was relatively uneventful, except for a minor skirmish with a predator of some sort. Beata had dropped it mid pounce and Torie had finished it with a large vibro-knife. When they reached the crash site, they all crouched down into the foliage and were near-invisible the plant-life was so dense. That also meant that every move they made came with a high cost of sound. They had to be careful. Eli nodded to Dan. "Sir, I'm reading one large biosignature. Low body temperature. Could be Trandoshan." Torie and Beata went off on a tangent.

"Or a Sluissi"

"Oooh or a Kowalkian Monkey-Lizard." Beata made a little scratching motion.

"No, no no no a Ssi-Ruu." Torie made a tiny-arm circles with his elbows near his breast.

"Stow it clowns." Eli whispered forcefully. "I can hear scratching, we may have been compromised."

Torie stopped his arm circles and raised his carbine to the large gaping hole in the side of the wrecked ship.

Inside the darkness of the grounded ship a pair of big yellow eyes spun uncontrollably in its sockets, the creature the eyes belonged to almost three meters in height and humanoid in shape kneed in front of a small forest of iron rods which pierced deeply into the soil, these iron bars each represented one of the Barabels fallen allies, which were buried beneath them and that had died during the crash of the Corvette class vessel. Lifting his huge muscular arms Darsar punched the earth before him as he wept and hissed ``Why? ... WHY? ...´´ his claws dug deep into the dirt as he lowered his head until it too touched the soil and again he mourned ``Why? ... Why did you all leave ... ?´´ but there was no answer. There had never been an answer and he knew deep inside he would never hear their voices again, and this broke the creature’s heart. While most Barabel were taught from birth to believe solely in their instinct, growing up around a mostly humanoid crew had brought him much closer to his emotions which explained the rare phenomena of a weeping Barabel.

The ongoing silence the lizard had created after his words, was ended when he rose back to full height, the sounds of his stretching scales and his swinging tail were loud enough to break the all-consuming muteness of the ship, the only other sounds was the occasional beeping of left over machinery in the spacecraft. The massive green creature moved over to the side of the sphere like dome which had been his home ever since the crash, it used to be the main bridge and was a construction made of glass able to resist even the pressures of space, and different metals holding the dome together, upon crashing there were now large holes in the glass and the skeleton of iron and steel had collapsed in on itself. The flora of the planet was slowly claiming the ship as its own and over time moss had grown over the side and top of the ship while small grass patches were raising out of the very soil his brothers were buried beneath.

The Barabel could hear one of his two stomachs growl, he would go hunting again by night, there was not much left for the Barabel to eat, this was because the planet was mostly citys build one after the other but in between these areas patches of green did sport a few grazing animals which were big enough to make a meal for him, as he had never hunted longer than twenty minutes on foot away from the crash site he had almost entirely eradicated the population of creatures in the near area giving it an awkward quietness by night. If he wanted to stay in the region he would have to increase his territory slowly but steadily. Darsar had not planned his stay here but he simply knew not what to do with himself and the pain of his comrades loss kept him pinned down in the wreck.

Moving surprisingly silently through the halls and corridors of the ship he came by near the entrance on the side of the vessel were he had a collection of claw marks each representing a day since the incident, slowly almost with regret he let his claw run down the wall for the current day, looking along the corridor he counted thirty one days now. With a heavy heart he turned away from the marks and was once again engulfed in darkness as he headed back into the depth of the wreck.

Eli, Dan, Beata and Torie all sat silently as they listened for signs of movement. There weren't many, but Dan had picked up a faint sound and signaled the group. The bio-sign was on the move throughout the ship. Torie sidled up to Eli carefully. "Captain, the flora with an absence of fauna indicates that there has been a bit of over hunting in the area. The being inside must have been about around here. I fear we're in his hunting grounds. He may be hostile, and may have symptoms of distress. Survivors of crashes and isolation often experience post-traumatic stress."

"That's assuming the reptillian we're tracking isn't the reason for the crew being missing. It's also just as plausible that the ship landed in this things hunting grounds and it was defending it's territory, we need to proceed cautiously."

Beata disagreed, "Sir, I think that is less plausible than a reptillian survivor that ran out of rations. A corvette like this can carry a few months supply of consumables, however we don't know on what leg of their journey they were on. They may have not been able to resupply for months and upon their emergency were near out. Forcing the reptillian to have to hunt the surrounding area."

"Be that as it may, lieutenant keep your weapons up. Everyone but me switch to stun. If it gets out of control I will be the one to take it down."

Everyone nodded in agreement and flipped the toggles on their carbines. Eli cycled a round into the chamber of his slugthrower. "Let's move in."

The crew stacked up on the large hole in the side of the corvette and slowly rounded the corner actuating the lights attached to their rifles. All but Eli. They covered the entrance and Eli held his hand up for them to hold their position. Eli kicked the hull of the corvette and a large 'pang' echoed throughout the ship. Eli raised his voice.

"I'm Captain Elijah Hardin of the Morellian Enforcers, we have recovered your emergency buoy. We mean no harm but I must warn you, we are armed, trained and will not hesitate to put you down if you pose a threat."

As his voice carried through the corvette in the quiet wilderness the crew looked at Eli with a small amount of dread on their faces, all but Dan of course. Captain Hardin may have just sealed their fate.

Everyone is dead and it’s your fault, you killed them, you should have protected him, why didn’t you protect them? Why did you survive? You don’t deserve this... The large reptilian’s thoughts hammered against the inside of his head as if they wanted to rip a hole in his skull and escape his very being. With a loud bang he wacked his head against the metal interior of the room he stood inside, ``zilence, just be quiet!!!´´ he told himself.

The creature was in the captain’s quarters, a room he had spent a lot of time in as a youngling, Talek had always allowed him to play here and it was one of the few places in his life where he truly felt safe. With a grace that should not belong to a monster such as himself his scaly clawed hand softly stroked over the wooden desk where his father had spent countless hours on planning their raids. Drifting off in memory about his time on this vessel he heard a voice, a human voice, Talek? The Barabels head turned to where the sounds had come from, could it be? Could it be his father? Yes, it must be, it had to be. See I told you he wasn’t dead, he would never leave me.

Darsar charged out of the room, he had completely lost his senses as he tripped up and down corridors, due to his much too large body for a humanoid sized ship he bumped into the sides of the hallways, running over gears and gadgets that were spread out on the different floors of the spacecraft due to the crash. In his instinct driven sprint his claws ripped up the side of the interior and his tail smashed up windows and doors as it flopped around.

He knew where the voice came from, the entrance, it didn’t matter what the voice said, it didn’t matter what the words meant, all that matterd was that it was his voice. Talek. ``TALEK!!!´´ He screamed as loud as he could. ``TALEK´´ he yelled again expelling all of the left over air in his lungs. He knew where the entrance was but he had no time to walk along the set path, instead he lunged at the wall he knew was at the other side of the corridor where the crash had ripped a hole in the vessel. With all his might, weight and muscle the scaled beast leaped against the inclosure, the already damaged ship showed little resistance and the grey cold metal exploded outwards, just behind the crew of captain Captain Elijah Hardin.

The dust settled and with the light of the outside world illuminating the silhouette of the three meter green giant he would reveal himself to the group, ``Talek?´´

The crew, startled dove back and out of the way at the first sound of the wall behind them crashing down. Eli was the first up, Dan and the rest after. Eli had his slugthrower up and aiming down on the large Barabel. The crew was on edge and Eli could feel their restraint competing with their instincts to survive. No one fired. That was lucky. Dan was the first to respond with quick calculations and a pressing tone-of-voice, "Sir, he's unstable and seems to require immediate medical attention."

"Hold your position!" Eli demanded. His face relaxed and he lowered his rifle. "Listen friend, we're not here to harm you. You've been in a major accident and we're here to see you out of it and back to your day to day goings-on, but we can't help you if you don't calm down. I don't know a Talek, but I assure you if they are alive, I can help you find them."

It took all the self-control he could muster to maintain an air of calm and composure in the presence of such an awesome terror. He hadn't met a Barabel before, but he had heard stories. Some had been Jedi. This one was not without hope, damaged as he may be. Beata and Torie kept their weapons level with the man, but Dan began running diagnostic scans. While not a professional medic, Dan did have remote access to the net and could offer priceless insight during times of crisis.

There were four of them, three males and a woman, the black dot inside his golden colored eye balls hushed from one to the other as he ever so desperately tried to find what he was looking for. Talek. In the end his sight rested on what seemed to be the leader of the group, a blue eyed humanoid stared courageously back at him. The figure behind him spoke to that blue eyed but Darsar was somewhere else, his blood was boiling hot and his head was pulsating nearly as fast as his oversized heart was beating. He was simply standing there towering the group of four and staring blankly back at them.

Than one of them raised his voice towards him, it was the leader human, Darsars mindless gaze changed as he listened to the creatures words, when he mentioned Talked the Barabels pupils widened and his stare sharpened, his muscles tensed. With a side step he swung his left fist into the metal wall which made up most of the inside of the ship, the sounds of crushing steel and alloy could be heard as almost his entire arm went through the hull of the craft.

``He´s dead´´ he begun to whisper as he was trying to free his arm than he said it louder ``He´s dead´´ he shouted now ``There all DEAD there ALL DEAD´´ still not being able to free his arm he begun smashing his long scaly forehead against the cold steel ``AAARGH´´ he roared and hissed at the same time as he begun pondering the metal as if he wanted the shape an indent of his head in the wall.

``They’re all dead´´ he sank to his knees his arm only having moved a little, this site of the Barabel was an unnatural one indeed, the huge green monster clothed in his brown suspenders kneeing down his head pointing to the ground giving off an odd hissing moaning sound.

Eli flinched as he hit the hull with his clenched fist. The creature's power surprised him. Nevertheless, Eli took a step forward lowering his rifle by the barrel stock first onto the ground, resting it down gingerly. He stole a glance back and gave Torie and Beata stern eyes telling them to keep him covered. One more step forward and he was in the kill zone of the Barabel. Eli wouldn't stand much of a chance one on one with the being. It mattered not to the Morellian, he had helped countless creatures that had fallen victim to illegal trapping and poaching back on Morellia. While this one was sentient, heightened instinctive response and emotion could turn any sentient being into a pure ball of frightened intensity. Eli took one more step forward, slowly stepped to the side of the Barabel and sat down next to him, Eli's back against the hull plating.

The barabel now immensely larger and more dangerous, Eli fearlessly pulled a cigarra out of his jacket pocket. Lighting it he spoke contemplatively and thoughtfully, "We all lose people, friend. Should we be chosen by the force to survive, it only ever matters how we honor their memories. More importantly, how we honor their sacrifice."

The blue eyed man came closer but Darsar didn’t care, he was tiered, strained powerless. He was tiered of the pain, strained by the constant pressure he put on himself and powerless to change any of the things that had happened.

The man was now very close to him, close enough for the Barabel to make out the details of his face, his dry sun burned skin and brown hair, he had a muscular figure even though most was hidden under his cape and head gear. The humanoid sat down next to the creature and revealed and then lit a cigar as he began a conversation with the Barabel.

Darsar listened to the man’s words, he had nothing to lose he had nothing at all.

What he said was vague and frustrated the creature even if he didn’t initially show it, but it could be heard between his undertone and his barab accent Basic ``Than tell me, how doez thiz one best honor a man who raized him ? A man who zhowed him bad from good? A man who gave him a reazon in life? ´´

Eli took another drag as he noticed the Barabel seem to calm a bit. Torie lowered his blaster but kept it ready. Beata kept hers up and it was unlikely she would lower it any time soon, she was a pragmatist. Dan, still monitoring the creatures vitals took a small step closer so he may get some more accurate readings. Finally, after a little consideration Eli had brought his thoughts around full circle. It hadn't been easy for Eli to go away to university. His parents had sacrificed much to see it possible. Sacrifices, that at the time Eli had seen as unnecessary. He had no qualms about taking up the family mantle and becoming strictly a Morellian Enforcer. While at University he had realized that was indeed not his calling, that he was meant for something greater. His grandiose dreams had been put on hold during the pirate skirmishes of recent. He had taken up the mantle of leadership just as his parents had. When he left for the rebellion, it had been under both desire and direction. Desire to accomplish his original goal during his schooling to be a positive political influence, and direction of the Parliament of the Morellian Commonwealth to seek allies not of the empire.

Eli thought again about his parents and their sacrifices for him. He thought of Lorne and his sacrifice. Of Captain Jothra, his predecessor as Captain of the Morellian Enforcers who was gunned down in the Parliament chambers by the raiding pirate Tethro. Eli thought of his realization that all life is precious at the avenging of Jothra by Eli's own hand. How did one honor someone who was so influential and pivotal in their life? Eli removed the cigarra from his mouth with his index finger and thumb and spoke.

"You honor them raising you by raising others. Lifting others up to places you could have never dreamed of touching on your own. You honor the morality they taught you by becoming a beacon of it, by living in and by it. By being the example of that morality. And you honor the gift of life and purpose by having one of your own. Moreover, one that promotes other purposes and respects life in all its forms and functions. You honor them by being as honorable as they believed you to be. What's more, you improve upon their model by adding your own fabric into the weave of life. That is what we live for. To make greater that which is already great."

Eli took another drag from his cigarra and noticed a tear in Beata's eye. She had lost more than he had. She knew this better than any. Eli waved it all away with his cigarra occupied hand. "Or something to that extent, what do I know? I'm just a bumbling ranger with delusions of granduer."

With that Torie let slip a chuckle. Eli shot him a look that could knock a hawk-bat out of mid flight.

There was a silence after Darsar had spoken, his eyes sprang up towards the rest of the group which he only mustered shortly, the lowering of their guns, the stepping of the feet, who were these people ?

Than the leader took up the conversation again and answerd the creatures question, he answered it like only a man that had excpierienced hardship could, one who saw loss and who had seen through it, a man strong enough to stand when others could not, a man willing to lift those up that orthers had long forsaken.

Darsar was touched, a barabel was naturally rather stern and ignored feelings as such, but this one was different he was far more human than he would admit. With one last pull he freed his scaly arm from the clenches of the cables and metals. He leaned to the side and sat down next to the ranger his back to the wall, his knees pulled up to his chest and hugging his legs, the monster looked like a upset youngling. "Thank you... Thiz one needed to hear that" he paused and inhaled and exhaled deeply " Thiz one iz Darsar and thiz iz ... waz the Bemoth" he paused again but than picked his sentence back up "We were shot down by an imperial ship about a month ago our captain ... Talek ... was able to bring the ship into this planets orbit but as we entered the atmosphere we lost control and crashed here" there was a longer pause now which he ended with the words "can you help me ?"

Eli pulled his flask from his inside jacket pocket and held it out to the side of him, not breaking his gaze from the nothing he was staring deeply into. He held it for Darsar to drink.

"It's nice to meet you Darsar, I am Elijah Hardin, Captain of the Morellian Enforcers and a member of a fledgling rebellion. Yes, I think I can help you. I may even be able to find you a new home."

Eli waved Beata's rifle down. She lowered it. "Will you allow my first officer, here to run some medical scans on you?"

Darsar sniffed out the alcohol even before it was handed to him, he had a love for the fluids and was able to consume great amounts without the rush normally affiliated with it. He reached over and grabbed the flask emptied it with one gulp which was accompanied with a satisfying hissing, he handed the bottle back to its owner and listened to what he was told by the captain.

Not commenting on his first remarks Darsar didn't want to speak if not directly asked too which is why he nodded instantly when Hardin asked for a check up.

"What ever it iz you need thiz one will follow thiz one standz in you're fault"

As the Hardings crew proceeded with the medical care which Darsar would abide and content too the barabels curiosity got the better of him.

"What iz a Morelian enforcer?

With extreme efficiency Beata, and Torie slung their rifles over their shoulders. Torie turned. Beata pulled his rucksack from his back. Both lowered as Torie unfastened and opened it. Dan had just finished stepping to the sack, away from Darsar for bandages and an ointment. Eli coughed out a laugh-grunt, gesturing at the working trio with his lit cigarra. "Don't let anyone ever tell you not to allow a husband and wife to work on the same ship. If they don't work together, they don't work together. Dan here, has been trying to analyze their patterns this entire trek. Can't seem to wrap his head around it, but he can work within it sure well." He chuckled the notion down. Dan was wrapping a mild bandage around Darsars arm after removing debris from the wall before Eli even began speaking.

"This will have to be set, captain."

Eli nodded it away, standing up. "He'll be alright, it'll do until we'll get to the ship and then some. He's made with the more rugged of materials." With a drag and some introversion he addressed the scaled terror's question, "They are a policing entity that primarily operates within the bounds of the Morellian Commonwealth. Until recent government collapses and malfunctions we could handle the bulk of the pirate and raider maintenance with success. It would seem the Hutts and/or other pirate factions organized a larger, more invasion and occupation focused incursion into wild space. The Morellian enforcers did a lot for the surrounding systems but there was nothing we could do. Not immediately at least. It's really a long story and probably more intended for deep space. I highly doubt you want to stay on this rock seeing as you've been tossin' around in this behemoth prior til now. I tell you what, I'ma deputize you for the time being. Least so much as we can get you some proper work and connections. I know of a particular rebellious party that could use your talents. Hell, if they can't you can stay on my ship as a deputy and I'd be more than happy to help you find jobs that are around and i'd be happy to lend a hand as long as theirs profit in it, moral or otherwise. Bruiser like you might come in handy. What's say we get you out of here and off to somewhere a bit more healthy."

With swift efficiency Captain Hardings crew began fixing the Barabel up as the captain himself explained where the swiftness came from, it had taken Darsar sometime but at this point he made the humanoid that Eli had referred to as Dan out to be a droid while it was explained to him that the other two, a man and a women had a nest together or whatever humanoids such as themselves had.

The answer to his previously stated question threw up more riddles than answers, he had little knowledge about the galaxy but Morellia did sound somewhat familiar, the words commonwealth where a mystery to him though, but for now he would leave his saviors in the dark about his lack of understanding and silently nodded to what the captain explained to him.

As Hardings words ended Darsar took a moment for himself and evaluated, joining up with a rebellion was something he never before had to consider but Eli was right in that he needed money and to get of this planet. He had never been one for the ``cause´´ but if he was taught anything today than it was that in order to continue the legacy that Talek had bestowed on him he needed to go out there and continue it himself.

``This one will come with you Captain Elijah Harding´´ with a stern voice but a light heart and a face expression that could be best described as a grin the Young Barabel hiss spoke ``There iz a room not far from here, itz where all our loot and gear iz ztored, this one must pick up zupplies and perzonal thingz but you and your crew zhould accompany and take whatever you can find or want with you, iz all this one can give so pleaze accept´´

Eli nodded and followed Darsar through the derelict ship to the hold and poked around searching for anything he might be able to use. Dan was searching for repair components, Beata and Torie for medical supplies and munitions. Each eventually produced something of value and put them in large duffel bags and moved them out of the ship to pick them up before their journey home. Eli however, in his time poking around noticed something a little unusual but very useful. It was a mag-lift, large, heavy, and impossible to move even with Darsar's help. He made a mental note of it. They would bring Susannah back to hover over the Bemoth and lift it out. Cut holes in the hull with torches if they had to. A mag-lift like this could be retrofitted to Susannah's mandibles and used to haul increased amounts of cargo. Something the VCX-820 severely lacked and could use an upgrade for. While everyone else was thinking personal Items, Eli was thinking bigger. He followed the hallway to the engineering bay where he found what he was really looking for, a military grade shield generator. He would have it too. It wasn't long and everyone seemed to be ready to go. Eli turned to Darsar and told him of his intentions to come back and cut the large pieces of equipment out of the Bemoth.

"Shouldn't take us long, I know you're eager to get off this rock but there is no way I'm leaving this for the scavengers after us. Torie, Dan, you two stay behind and see if there isn't anything else large we can take off the Bemoth. Hell, if there's tougher hull-plating you find we can torch it off and graft it over Suzie. Considering we're fighting a war, it wouldn't hurt to have corvette caliber weapons and such. See if one of those turbolasers fit the specs to replace one of the laser-turrets on Suze too. We'll be back before the end of the day."

Later on, the crew had been successful in retrofitting some hull-plating, the military grade shield generator, the mag-lift, one of the turbolasers to the top-side cannon mount, filled the cargo bay with everything they could get their hands on and they used the newly installed mag-lift on the mandibles to store two more turbolasers to be donated to the rebellion upon their return. Eli, the crew and Darsar boarded the now beefed-up Susannah and went on their merry. Into the stars and far away from Terminus.

Darsar would pack the few things he owned swiftly while his savior readied themselves for the departure, all of his belongings together were few and small enough to fit into a leather duffel bag that he had acquired years ago on a desert planet during a bounty hunt.

Before he was able to digest what was really going on he found himself in Dans ship, they flew back to the port city from where Darsar would be introduced to a group of man that were connected to the rebellion, it was time for the reptilian to open a new chapter in his life a chapter that would give him new goal, see new tplanets, and expierience new things.
