*It was a task appointed to him by the ether, to retrieve a crystal from the past. Yavin IV was the burial place of one of the Sith Lords of legend and also held somthing important that would allow rite of passage. As Fate's Hand jetted out of hyperspace, Lukor sat in the black robes draped elegance. His face, covered by wraps of black, seemed dark... lifeless. The very essence of what he was existed not. While in auto-pilot, Lukor interlaced his fingers and narrowed his eyes. The darkness that had engulfed his heart began to take its' toll. His skin, once completely tan was turning pale, his eyes slowly began to become cloudy and red, and his voice began to deepen. However, this was working to his favor. The man who was wanted had compeltely disapeared into a sad lump of a man.*

*As the ship hurdled twords the planet, Lukor was suppressed by the power the planet held. The Darkside aura was powerful, strong enough to hide the strongest of force users. A thought sprung up in Lukor's mind. If the force could be held on a planet... there must be another like it. Another thought sprung high... one he had believed to be a myth. Fate's Hand glimmered in what sunlight shown as it landed within the barren crevaces of the planet. Out of the cockpit Lukor strided in casual fashion, his hand outstretched and his eyes closed.*

"I sense the darkside... but somthing else... a minor light."

*His eyes opened slowly and his outstretched hand balled to a fist. With a small grin, Lukor entered his ship and brought out a small speeder from the garage of the ship. Closing and locking the doors, Lukor sped off down the canyons, following the minor shine.*

*As the wind smashed against the small speeder, the dark side aura of the planet began to resonate twords Lukor. Its' pull trying to take him. Although tempting, Lukor continued on his course, following the minor shine of power.*

**Time Passes**

*The speeder comes to an abrupt stop. In front of the dumbfounded Lukor lie a giant orb-shaped rock balancing upon a stone pedistal.*

"I can't lift this!"

*But as he was about to return to his speeder, Lukor felt somthing pulling at his mind. It seemed to come from within the great rock. Walking closer to the rock, and outstretching his hands, Lukor began to manipulate the force to pull the rock apart in two. The strength required was a devastating attribute that had Lukor acheing at every muscle. His arms began to vein, his legs shudder, his eyes begin to vein the force was not going to help him much. But as he began to give up, the rock began to crack as well as smaller rocks began to fall from it's crown. Lukor pushed again, the acheing getting worse. With one last stretch, the rock pulled off in two and a small bright light began to fall from the center of the stone. Lukor rushed to it and pounced to it, preventing it from hitting the ground. As Lukor began to pant, he opened his enclosed hand to find a thin glowing jewel. With a marvelous smile, the crystal began to turn a charcoal black while its' glow remained. Placing it in one of the three pouches on his waist, Lukor remounted the speeder and took off.*

The evil on this moon seemed to flood into Joni, contaminating his whole body. Every vein of blood, every breath, every pore were saturated with this evil that seemed to coat everything living. His mind stayed sound, though, as did his connection with the Force. The partner who came with him made sure of that. They had a bond in the Force much stronger than that of a Master and Apprentice. They kept each other safe, sound, and, in this case, sane.

Joni was completely baffled as to why the Jedi Order would send him to such a Dark planet on a mission that was not completely clear. No matter how much Joni pushed, demanded, or begged, the Council would only say, "It will be clear when the Force makes it so." The Force must hate me then, cause I just don't see anything but darkness here. Nothing makes any sense. A soft Light appeared on the edge of Joni's consciousness, almost begging to be noticed.

"Cail, its time, lets ride!" Joni said as he jumped on the sooped up speeder he had been assigned to by the Order. Well, it was not sooped up when he was given it, but Joni could not keep his fingers still after he had fixed its turning ratio and it had ended up being one bad bike. Several laser rifles, all automatic, point handling, slim and sleek, aerodynamic, and fast to the point of insanity, it was everything that Joni wanted and more in a bike. Too bad he had to give it back to the Jedi.

He was off in a flash, doing his best to catch up to the pale Light. Joni soon realised that the light was on a speeder, whatever it was, because of the kind of ripped leaves and exhaust burn trail he was following. He was gaining on it, whatever it was, his speeder's upgraded engines could very nearly match some slow starships in the atmosphere. As he neared, he could not help but thinking, It isn't much cleared yet. I'm actually doing something, but it is not much clearer.

*Hearing another engine similiar to another speeder, Lukor looked back from his speeder and not even the wraps that covered his face could contain the surprize on his face. This was a jedi and he was after him or the crystal. Either way, Lukor would not let out. Using the boosters on the speeder, Lukor sped away from the chasing jedi. His eyes, now wide open, began to ache as he bowed low on his speeder to try to make himself more aerodynamic.*

Cail eyed the moon with veiled distaste within his cold, icy blue eyes from under the hood that shadowed his face in purest black. Lifting his gaze to the retreating light, his eyes seemed to reflect a moment between light and darkness, the glow of the stone seeming to dazzle his soul.

For a moment he had wondered what made him take up this mission, then he looked over at the young jedi next to him. Actually, they were both young in true aspect: Joni a Jedi and Himself a Shadourian. He chuckled soflty, an odd pair they were sure to make. The force bond between them was what made him come here, he felt a sudden need to help Joni on this.

As he watched Joni take off, he jumped onto his own speeder and gunned the engine, his leg holding steady against the ground beside him. He lifted his leg and he shot off after joni, a wild gleam filling his eyes as the hood was blown back from his face, revealing his snow white hair.

Joni could see and sense that the other speeder had just gained monumental speed. "::Boosters," Joni thought to Cail, across the Force bond they carried, "It must be.:: It was not true telepathy of course, more just images, smells, and feels, but it was much easier for Joni and Cail to communicate wityh each other through their Force Bond than to actually talk with each other, so it might as well have been. "::Cail, activate your boosters. We can't afford to lose him. Its our only chance of finding out what the heck is going on here, and I'll bet that our boosters last longer than his does.::" The image of a smug smile was the last thing to cross the Bond before Joni hit his own boosters. He could not help it, he was proud of his ability.

"::Whoever you are, slow down. We mean you no harm and only want to talk.::"

Cail nodded to himself, for he knew that Joni coud not see him. :Alright. Cail responded through the bond. His cool, blue gaze searched the steering mechanism and landed upon a red switch set into the righthand bar. He pursed his lips and raised an eyebrow at Joni's retreating back and bent low over the front of the bike, just as he hit the switch.

The wind whistled through his hood and his cloak whipped out behind him as the boosters roared to life, nearly sending him off the bike with the sudden speed increase. He dodged precariously between boulders and stalagmites as he shot after Joni, his eyes narrowed against the cold wind. He glanced to the side and noticed that the land they were in seemed lower than the surrounding area, and this gave him an idea.

Joni took the blow straight to the chest, crushing all wind out of his lungs, almost throwing him off the bike, but not quite. Joni had installed good knee grips and his hands always seemed to lock when he was flying. He did slow a little, enough to catch his breath, which allowed Cail to catch up and pass him. "::Cail, he's...enemy. Dark. Hit. Catch him...take him down!::" Lack of air affected Joni's thought proccess enough to make him stumble over images. One thing did not require much thought though. He punched the red button and launched off after the now discovered enemy. Now he will die!!!

*Seeing the rising anger in the jedi charging, Lukor pushed forward, curving off into the small canyon ahead. "He would be crazy to chase me in these canyons, they curve more then a snake!" he thought to himself, unaware that he too was in danger of crashing in these canyons.*

Instead of taking the bait and careening himself to his doom by trying to navigate through the canyon Cail angled left, pushing the bike up onto a plateau the ran the width and bredth of the canyon itself. As he gunned over the lip of the plateau he jerked hard right and nearly fell off the speeder, only a suave bit of manuvering kept him upright and on the bike. He gunned the throttle and shot off over the plateau's walls, his ice blue eyes locked onto the back of the mans head as he started to overtake him.

*Noticing the change in force signature, Lukor tilted his head and noticed the speeder high atop. Accelerating and hitting the boosters, Lukor raised the speeder above the canyon and onto its' surface. Gathering a very small portion of the force, Lukor launched a weak force push twords the pursueing jedi as not to drain himself.*
