Sakadi breathed a sigh of relief. It had taken her an entire day to furnish her house. Her new house. With the credits she had earned from several high-stake gambling games, she had managed to acquire a small homestead on a backwater planet. Lah'mu, to be precise. It was an inaccessible planet, home to a couple of farmers. Her nearest neighbors lived miles away, which was a good thing. It was so secluded, that she couldn't possible harm anyone.

After her brief escapades on Eriadu and Zeltros, where she met both a former rival and a former friend respectively, the Sephi had come to realize something. Her excessive drinking behavior, her depressed state of being and even her cravings for affection, none of it was truly a part of her. Kalanda said it. Kyi said it. Even Reuben, someone she had only just spoken with once before, had realized it before she did.

Leaning back in her chair, Sakadi watched as the sky dusked as the shadows slowly grew longer. Nothing would reach her here, this far up in the northern territories. Technology here was primitive and it was perhaps the furthest away from the Galactic affairs as she could be. She wouldn't need the remainder of her credits here either; there was no one to buy from or sell anything to. She had to be self-sufficient here, that's why the former Jedi had picked up some written works on gardening and got more suitable, easily repaired clothes.

However, the Sephi still had some hope that she wouldn't have to do all of this alone. Before she had gone on this endeavor, she had briefly gotten a hold of someone special. The only person she still wanted to talk with, no, felt like she had to talk with. Mid Samekh, the former Sith Lord known as Darth Kados. With what little information she sent, hoping that it would arrive and that Mid would actually be able to track her solely based on it, Sakadi waited. Every day, she waited.

After enjoying the peace and quiet for a few more minutes, Sakadi adjusted her scarf and rose up from her chair. It was time to get back to work again, since it didn't seem like Mid would come today either.

After fleeing from Korriban, Mid had been constantly on the move. The only people he could trust right now were his pilots. He needed to get away from everything, fall off the map and figure out what to do...but he didn't know anymore. He was devastated after everything. He sacrificed his body and very being for the Order, and it turned on him as if he was worthless. He had been going over everything but he was lost.

Which was why a message from Sakadi was such a wondrous occurence for him. It took a bit to figure out where she was, but he managed. He had plans to go to Ilum before doing anything else, but he would fit this stop in. He had to. After not hearing from her for so long he needed to see her again. To tell her what had happened.

The yacht shot out of hyperspace and the pilots flew the ship over to where Mid could sense her presence. He didn't hide his. He wanted her to know he was here. In the distance he could see a small house with someone on the porch. The ship flew closer then finally it touched down about 20 meters from the house. Mid looked around then back to the house. "Shut it down. Lock it up and feel free to get some rest." he said to his pilots before moving to the ramp to disembark. At the ramp he came to a halt for a bit, thinking over how this is going to play out. With a deep breath he walked down the ramp and made his way to Sakadi's house. His weapons were still on him but his spacer's attire would be miles different from what he usually wore.

His golden eyes were locked onto the house, looking for the Sephi. He had to admit that he was more than a little nervous to see her again after all that happened...

Not that long after the Sephi closed the door behind her, her heart skipped a beat. She finally felt it. A dark presence, colder than Hoth and Ilum and on par with what she had felt in orbit above Alderaan. It was a familiar presence though, one that reminded her of Atrer III and Tython. About a month ago, she wouldn't have sensed the arrival of the former Sith Lord. But now she had recovered most of her inner peace again, the former Jedi's connection to the Force had returned.

While Mid's signature in the Force was dark enough to cast a shadow over Lah'mu, there was still a balance in the Force. For Sakadi felt that she had grown in the Force, her presence equal to his in raw power. For a moment the house shook, cups and dishes vibrating, as the yacht landed close to her house. He was here.

She wanted to dash outside, hug Mid and beg him to stay here with her. She needed someone with her, someone she could trust. And that person was Mid. Instead of following her heart, however, Sakadi stayed inside. She hadn't seen him in a while. Perhaps he had changed, and not for the better.

Reaching out, Sakadi conveyed a single message.

"Please leave your weapons outside."

Mid felt her presence in the house. She had grown stronger, rivalling his own power. He walked along the soft grass to her house, a part of him hoping the door would open and she would come rushing out. But the door didn't move, and her presence was unwavering. At least he didn't feel any hostility from her so he figured he wasn't in trouble.

As he came to a halt in front of the door, he heard her voice again. It had been so long, it felt good to hear her again. But her demand was a little odd. He didn't like going somewhere without his weapons, especially these days. But he couldn't deny her. Slowly he released his weapon belt and hung it over the chair next to the door. He made sure his lightsabers and blasters as well as his knife was accounted for. Next was his Lanvarok. It was a pain to loosen the straps and take it off, but he obliged for her. After a few tedious minutes the weapon came loose and he placed it gently on the chair. With no other weapons on him, he drew a breath and knocked on the door. It was a simple gesture, but one he felt was necessary. This was her home. He couldn't simply barge in without her permission.

So there he stood, on the porch with his hands hanging by his sides as he waited for her to answer him or the door. He looked around a bit to admire the landscape as he waited, before looking at the door once more.

The Force granted her clarity, as it told her that Mid actually obliged her request. That, and she saw his reflection through the small mirror that stood on one of her cabinets. She was glad that the listened, she was unarmed herself and didn't want anyone carrying weapons inside her new house. The time of war and fighting was over, the time of peace and tranquility had finally come. Her own three lightsabers were hidden in a chest somewhere in her basement. She hoped she wouldn't need those weapons ever again.

The porch creaked under the weight of the Sith Pureblood as he had to take a few more steps before he could knock on the door. The former Jedi bit her lip as she tried to think of a proper approach. She hadn't seen him in so long. She had gone through a lot, but what about him? The news of the banished Sith Lord had reached even her, back on Zeltros, and she felt responsible for it. She didn't know why he was banished, but it undoubtedly had something to do with their relationship.

Placing a hand against her chest, Sakadi felt how her heart pounded hard and fast. She was nervous. For the first time in years, the Sephi was actually nervous. Making up her mind, the Sephi took a deep breath. "Thank you.", her voice would echo through Mid's head, as she crossed the living room to open the door.

The man who stood on her porch wasn't the man she remembered. She eyed him up and down, her gaze resting on the robotic left forearm for a while, until she finally locked eyes with Mid. He seemed troubled, but she recognized the man behind the golden eyes. With a warm smile, Sakadi continued. "Come in, you must be tired from your journey."

Mid hummed as she thanked him. As if he could deny her. He stood in front of the door, not sure what to expect. With everything that's been going on he wasn't sure how to react when he saw her. With a blank face he waited patiently for her to answer the door.

His golden eyes perked up when the door opened, looking straight into hers. He simply stood unmoving, noticing how she studied him. In the back of his mind was a sense of nervousness over what she was thinking as she looked at him. When her gaze fell on his left arm, he felt a little self-conscious over it. The hand flexed into a fist then relaxed as he thought over what to do or say. He was absolutely speechless. He wanted to kick himself mentally, but for now he returned the favour as he looked her over. She looked weathered. Like she had been through a rather rough journey through this time. If he had to take a guess, he'd say that she looked like she took a tour through Underworld in her absence.

But when that smile came through, a small smile etched onto his own lips as well. As she looked into his eyes, he looked into hers. He took a single step forward to come to a halt right in front of her. He looked down at her, feeling the warmth in his chest grow as he regarded her. After a second or two, his right hand came up and brushed a few strands of hair from her face before cupping her cheek. He then moved in, both arms wrapping around her to pull her in a hug as he leaned down to plant a warm and gentle kiss on her lips. "I was, but finally seeing you again makes me feel better already." he said with a smile as he pulled back and held her close. In truth, he was tired. But not from the journey. But that wasn't important now. What was important, was the fact that they were together again.

"I've missed you, Sakadi." he said softly as he reluctantly let go of her and stood in the doorway. His eyes moved upward to take note that he was literally an inch or so from the doorframe. "Certainly cutting it a little close." he commented with a chuckle as he looked at her again. He looked around to get a good look of the house. "Did you build this yourself?" he asked her, a hint of surprise in his voice.
