Q9-series astromech droids were experimental astromech droids from Industrial Automaton. They were thinner than typical R-series droid. Based on the R2 and R7-series, the Q9s were launched without sufficient testing, according to the statements of critics.
His parents bought the droid as a gift for his 18th birthday, as a travelling salesmen was trying to sell it off due to its inconsistency of repairing and it inability to follow certain orders.
PERSONALITY:
Rhen tends to be more of a leader due to his wide knowledge of many things such as physical science, and other planets and species. In combat he often tends to lose his cool and goes out on the offensive when an opponent mocks him or is being classed as the underdog of the fight. He is a wise person and believes through actions can the galaxy come at peace. He tends to work hard at whatever he does will try to excel in anything to be the best. When not in combat Rhen tends to keep things to himself and go un-noticed to others and gather information at random literately about anything as it one day may come of use. He is also loyal to whom ever he follows, yet can be disloyal when he believes the actions they are taking are unnecessary to reaching their goals.

Rhen was raised as a normal child and lived an average lifestyle. He knew his destiny was to become a jedi when at a young age he shown promising signs when by accident force pushed over his father. When he reached the age of 15 he began martial arts training which increased his health greatly compared to any other Kel-Dorian and matching a humans. This also increased his strength above average and also the reason to why he is ambidextrous. When he reached 18 his parent purchased a droid which would later be named Q9-C4 off a travelling merchant. The merchant was wanting to sell it off due to certain problems the droid had with it being inconsistent. This is also the same time he found the MC18 light freighter crashed on his home planet of Dorin and used Q9-C4's ability to repair it. He then self taught himself how to fly, with a few crashes and accidents along the way yet is now a capable pilot. When on his first cross planet travel to enter a martial arts tournament in which he lost in the final, he was spotted by a member of the "Jedi Order" as he liked his fighting skills and noticed if they could teach him how to harness his force powers for good rather than mischief as he force pushed over his opponent after the fight with his back turned, decided to take him on and teach him the way of fighting with a lightsaber and help harness his skills to a minimum level, this is also where he was given his lightsaber and was taught the fighting Form V.
He was a new addition to the order and wasn't given a master due to this but taught how to fight etc and shown signs of becoming a great jedi master. Not fully understanding the order he later joined the Ospion as he looked up to Grand Master Banik Kelrada. He also believed his actions at the time to be right yet often questions some of his ideas and decided to follow him to achieve greater strengths that he believes through the Ospions teachings will do so.
With a low reputation he believed that, it may take sometime for a reply to get back to him to be accepted and hoped his wisdom and fighting skills would play a key role in his acceptance. In a matter of days Rhen got his reply and to his delight was accepted into the Ospion and was first ordered to choose his Master and now waits for their acceptance.
