NAME:
Rika Youngblood
SPECIES: Energy Vampire
AGE: 518 Standard Years
GENDER: Female
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes. Trained

APPEARANCE:
Her appearance is fairly average compared to the stories told about her species. She’s only 5’ 6” tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has long, snowy white hair, crimson red eyes, and pale skin. She has a wicked smile, with her two fangs being quite visible when she does. She has an attractive figure and isn’t afraid to show it. Her casual clothing is usually tight and skimpy, while also managing to keep it PG-13.

Strength: 8/10 Her supernatural Energy Vampire strength comes in handy. She can brawl like a Wookie and beat foes much larger than herself
Dexterity: 7/10 She’s very nimble and quick in her movements, giving off a sense of elegance
Constitution/Stamina: 9/10 Near immortality has its perks. Rika can heal wounds, recover energy and stamina fairly quickly, and is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to her natural resistance and toughness.
Intelligence: 6/10 Although she doesn’t focus on school or academics too much, she has learned a thing or two in her 500 years of living.
Wisdom: 8/10 500 years. You can learn a lot about life in that time. Rika is very wise and knows many things about the galaxy; some things you wouldn’t believe if you heard or saw it.
Charisma: 4/10 Rika’s surly attitude combined with her past and the rumors told about her species hurt her chances of making friends.

Strengths: Enhanced reflexes, supernatural strength and speed, and her years of experience make her a strong ally and a dangerous foe. She’s mastered hand-to-hand combat and prefers it over blasters or swords, seeing how her claws are basically razors on her hands. Her ability to feed and heal wounds is also a very important strength. Her main strength however, is her very strong connection to the Force. She spent nearly 300 years training herself and teaching herself to use the Force and manipulate the energy around her. She automatically absorbs and drains energy from any source she happens to be near, however this natural absorption is slow and only grants her a small amount of energy compared to simply biting her victim and directly absorbing them.

Weaknesses: Rika is overly confident in herself and can oftentimes underestimate opponents when in one on one combat. She is also sensitive to natural light and will often wear pieces of cloth to cover her exposed skin. Her years of feeding on Felucia’s energy and wildlife have given her an unshakable addiction to energy, and on rare occasions, blood. She’d need a taste of sentient energy once every week (168 standard hours) or she’d slowly slip into madness until she got the energy. The taste for sentient blood is lessened but still required, as she needs to consume at least a half a liter of sentient blood over the course of a standard month (30 days) or she becomes slightly feral until she gets that SENTIENT blood. This means mindless killing of wildlife or other non-sentient creatures will only progress her feral nature.

PERSONALITY: Spending 100 years trapped alone in a cave would make anyone a little crazy. 500 years? Even more so. Rika is an odd individual, but she maintains a strange sense of control over her life. Often times she likes to keep herself busy through any means she can find, like a job or a hobby. However, 500 years can be lonely. Rika has lost every love she ever knew and her family died from age before she grew into an adult. Therefore, she has developed a voice in her head that acts as her conscience whenever she needs help. However, she’s very good at hiding it and only talks to her conscience when either alone or in her head.

She’s very stubborn and determined about completing jobs or missions assigned to her. If she fails, which is rare in and of itself, she blames herself heavily even if she had nothing to do with the failure. She’s had hundreds of years of training, making her an efficient operator in any situation.

Rika doesn’t smile upon weakness. She sees the weak as fodder and food for the strong, like herself. She hates cowards, often killing them herself rather than watch them run away from a fight. As such she never flees until the job is done or she has no other choice. In situations where her life is in real danger, she follows her basic instinct of self-preservation and will escape however she can, even if it means leaving behind teammates. This is rare however and only certain death will cause her to flee.

In terms of loyalty, Rika is loyal to her friends and family; but she doesn’t have many of either so she turns to the next best thing, credits. Her loyalty to her friends is to the point where she’d risk her own personal safety to save and protect a friend. Her loyalty to credits goes as far as the credits do. Depending on the size of her payday, she might risk going into danger. It all depends on if the person she’s working for is worth it.

BIOGRAPHY:
One Hundred Years – The Beginning

Born an orphan, Rika was left on the doorstep of a monetary on Naboo. Her appearance seemed human and the monastery took her in. She had white hair and hazel eyes, but nothing else appeared odd. She ate fruits and vegetables and eventually acquired a taste for meat. They raised her, for 16 years. She aged normally, growing into a healthy little girl. But the monks at the monastery began to notice her vampiric features quickly after her 13th birthday. Her canines grew into sharp fangs, her fingernails started to become very talon-like, and her eyes began to shift from hazel to a dark red. She also began to desire meat more often than her usual fruits and veggies. Around age 14, she was out playing in the fields when she meet another child, a little boy, Brandon, from the farm nearby. Apparently he was there playing while his father made the deliveries to the monastery. He and Rika instantly became friends.

For the next 2 years, she and Brandon met each other whenever they could; during deliveries to the farm, sneaking out at night to meet, making up excuses to go to each other. Brandon was Rika’s first love. She cared for him more than anyone. But things changed one day, the day burnt into Rika’s memory as the day she became a monster. On her 16th birthday, Brandon met Rika by their favorite tree to tell her something important. She arrived there late in the afternoon and waited until sunset. Brandon met her there as promised, a smile on his face. They started talking and Brandon told her that he planned to run away from his farm and go explore the galaxy, and he wanted Rika to go with him. She was amazed, she couldn’t believe it. She said yes with tears flowing down her cheeks and they hugged each other as she buried her face in his neck. She was so happy she didn’t realize what was happening until it was too late. She felt so warm and happy that her face was burning up. Then her neck was warm. It felt like she was…drinking something. Brandon hugged her tighter and tighter until he suddenly stopped. His arms fell at his sides, loose and motionless. Rika was confused until she looked down at herself and saw that both of them were covered in blood, Brandon’s blood. Rika shrieked, horrified by what she had done. She didn’t even know why. Her disgust bubbled up inside her until she couldn’t take it and she threw up. But it wasn’t vomit that came out; it was blood.

Rika ran away from the monastery, unable to look at herself or even face the people she called family. She was a monster now. She had to go where monsters were. After cleaning up, she hitched a ride to a place where she knew there were monsters; the planet Felucia. She had heard stories from the monks and she knew it was a terrifying place. That’s where she had to go. She hopped between shuttles and transports, all the time gaining a sickening thirst for blood as well as something else she couldn’t identify, until she got to the planet Velmor. There she found a pilot that was willing to take her to Felucia.

The pilot left quickly after dropping her off; Rika couldn’t blame him. The planet radiated with some kind of energy. It was haunting really. Rika had the feeling that she’d be killed if she took a single step. It was perfect for her. For the next 10 years she lived on Felucia as another monster, feeding on the natural fauna that crossed her path. As she aged further, she noticed her eyes had turned blood red and her hands had become claws. She embraced the beast inside her, using it to her advantage as she hunted and survived. However, all the time she was there, she had a strange feeling buzzing in her head. The planet had a haze of energy radiating off of it. It pleased her.

One day, the day she figured she had turned 26, she stumbled across a cave she had never explored before. Her curiosity got the best of her and she went inside. As she continued to explore the cave, she found her way deeper and deeper into the center. Suddenly a freak earthquake struck the area and the cave entrance was blocked off by debris. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t move the rocks and she couldn’t find another way to escape. She was trapped.

Time passed. She barely survived by eating bugs and some plants that grew along the cave walls and floors. A small stream flowed through the center of the cave and came to a stop in the center, forming a small pool of water in the middle of a massive rotunda of rock and plants. Her only source of light was the bioluminescence of the algae growing in the bottom of the pool. They gave off a bright, green glow that lit the entire cave nicely. Any other time this place would have been a lovely little slice of heaven. But for Rika, it was now her prison. On top of that, and probably the worst part, she was cut off from blood. No creatures inside the cave had enough blood to sustain her except for the very rare rat-like creatures that scurried in now and then. This withdrawal caused her to crave blood, stalk non-existent prey, and slowly lose her mind. She was alone as she wasted away. But one day, things changed. Rika had passed out yet again from exhaustion and she began to hallucinate in her unconscious state. Vivid colors, shapes, and images flashed in Rika’s mind until they all came together in a single thought. Her eyes shot open and she crawled towards the pool. She pulled herself in and let the cool water wash over her. She began to float in the center and she closed her eyes, peace finally finding her for a brief time.

Two Hundred Years – Forced Rehabilitation
When Rika’s mind was clear, she began to think about how long it had been since she last saw the sunlight. How long had it been since she saw the sky? She dwelled on these thoughts and sat by the edge of the pool, her legs folded in front of her. Her hands rested on her knees as her eyes closed and she began to think back on all her memories. She thought about the monastery, the kind monks who had raised her, and Brandon. She could see his face clear as day. But her vision flashed and all she saw was his corpse on the ground, blood everywhere, a monster with red eyes staring back at her. She shook her head and woke up from her trancelike state. Her breathing was heavy and she was sweating like crazy. She didn’t want to go back to that time.

Suddenly, she began to hear a voice. She jumped to her feet and searched the cave. Was someone else there? Was there a way out? What species were they? How’d their blood taste? She stopped herself. Even after all that time, she still craved blood. She was still a monster. The voice called out again and Rika looked around. She began to doubt the voice existed; she had explored the cave thoroughly and could find a single exit besides the one blocked by unmovable stones. She panicked, afraid of the voice. She started to run away, but there was nowhere to run. Suddenly the voice told her to be still and listen. She froze, and as the voice spoke it told her that it was a dear friend of hers. The voice had been watching over her for nearly a hundred years apparently. Rika scoffed. How could anyone have been watching her this entire time? But the voice spoke again, their words echoing around the cave walls. It told her to sit by the pool and meditate. Rika, though skeptical, did as she was told. She sat in her usual spot and closed her eyes. For the next hundred years, the voice trained her mind to rise above the needs and desires of the physical body. She learned to suppress her thirst for blood. She faced the demons of her past, and conquered her fears and regrets. The voice explained to her exactly what Rika was; she was an Energy Vampire. The voice explained to Rika that she had been “feeding” off of the planet this entire time, which was why she hadn’t died of hunger or thirst. Felucia radiated with the Force and the planet’s energy was immeasurable. Rika had simply tapped into the planet’s massive reserves and sustained herself. Rika’s training was intense, often causing her vivid nightmares and dreams along with splitting headaches and migraines. However, at the end of the hundred years, Rika was a changed woman. On the last day, the voice said her mind was ready, and she finally opened her eyes. She took a deep breath, and for the first time in 100 years, she stood up and pulled herself into the pool of water, where she washed away the monster inside.

Three Hundred Years – Training the Body
With her mind in peak condition, Rika and the Voice began to prepare her body. She was weak and frail from her hundred years of mental training. If she hoped to escape the cave and survive, she needed to be strong. The next hundred years consisted of her doing rigorous training exercises with the Voice as her coach. She started small, doing short runs and basic upper and lower body strength exercises. Push-ups, sit ups, squats, and jogging became her routine. Later, when she had more meat on her bones and was physically stronger, she upgraded to more advanced and severe training. She lifted rocks and boulders 3 times her size, she punched stalagmites until they cracked, and ran for miles without taking a break. Her body was under unbelievable stress and there wasn’t a day when she didn’t want to stop. But the Voice pushed her, egged her on until she overcame her challenges. All the time she ate the cave bugs and plants, drank from the pool, and absorbed the planet’s energy. At the end of the hundred years, she was nearly unstoppable. Her physical strength was supernatural while her speed and endurance were unbelievable. She felt like she could break every rock blocking her escape. In fact, that exactly what she planned to do. However, the Voice had other plans.

Four Hundred Years – The Force
The Voice explained and taught her about the Force, the energy she had been feeding off of the entire time she was there. The Voice told Rika about how the Force could be manipulated and bent to her will, if she had the ability. Rika was amazed by the power the Force apparently possessed and begged the Voice to teach her. The Voice agreed and Rika began her final phase of training. It took most Jedi and Sith about 40 to 50 years to become masters at their skills; Rika had 100 years. She began by learning to connect to the Force in a sense she could register. With her mental strength and physical strength at the level they were, this came to her easily. She tapped into the reserves of Force Energy lying dormant inside her and began to use it. With the guidance of the Voice, she began to learn Telekinesis. She lifted boulders and moved everything she could with her mind and a simple extended hand. However, it took her nearly 30 years to finally master the technique. Jedi and Sith had physical masters and teachers, Rika only had a voice in a cave. Next the Voice began to teach her about Energy Manipulation. She learned how the Force was woven into everything and therefore everything could be controlled or changed. She focused on simple creations first; gathering raw energy together and controlling that. Next she moved on to manifesting something out of the energy. By concentrating on the air near her hand and a quick mental spark, a small match-sized flame came to life on her index finger. She smiled and pursued the skill of Pyrotechnics. This became her main focus for the next 70 years in the cave. She manipulated the air around her and sparked it to create her starting flame. Then she got more advanced. She created streams of fire that shot from her fingertips like a flamethrower, basic spheres that she could throw at an opponent and explode, and even set small fires at increasingly further distances. At the end of her training period, Rika was one with the Force and could manipulate it with ease.

Five Hundred Years – The Road Ahead
Having trained for nearly half a millennia in that Felucian cave, Rika was finally ready to embrace the world. She was no longer a monster. She was a changed person. She had rediscovered herself and was now a confident, trained creature. All she needed now was to find her place in the galaxy. She approached the entrance to the cave, which had been untouched in 400 years, and put her hand against the cold stones. She thanked the Voice, which had been her best friend and wise master all that time. Then she used the Force to push all the rocks away in a single moment. Sunlight rushed the room and began to burn her skin. She hissed in confusion and anger and jumped back into the shadows. The natural light was blinding to her and she couldn’t stare directly at it without her eyes burning and getting irritated. She calmed down and started to think of a way to avoid this problem. She needed to leave and find a way off the planet, but she couldn’t do that trapped in the cave for the day. She looked around and tried to figure out a plan, all while only looking outside for brief moments of time. Finally she decided to make some makeshift clothes. First she concentrated on a grouping of plants with wide, flat leaves. She easily pulled them towards her as she started working to tie them into some kind of covering for her exposed skin.

A few hours later, she had something. Loosely tied but still stable, the leaves wrapped around her skin well enough. As a test, she put her arm out in the light while wearing the leafy armor. Luckily enough, it didn’t burn her skin quite as bad as before; this time it was simply a mild irritation rather than a horrific burn. She finished putting on her “armor” and then stepped into the light. Her skin quickly began to itch and slightly burn as she moved from patch of shade to patch of shade, trying to think of a plan to get off planet. Suddenly, she heard the sound of construction nearby. Sneaking through the brush, she followed the noise until she came across a strange sight; humans. They were armed and seemed to be searching for something. Nearby was a makeshift campsite with more humans. They were doing something with the plants but Rika didn’t care about that. All she saw was the shuttle nearby. When none of them were looking her way, she dashed into the open shuttle, leaving behind her leafy armor. She scuttled into the corner of the cargo hull and hide from sight, waiting for her moment.

Soon enough, the humans returned to their ship, apparently finished with their work. They didn’t even know Rika was on board as she watched them move around in the ship. She waited and watched, listening to them as the ship took off and began to fly away. She had left Felucia, finally. Now she stowed away on the shuttle, listening to the human’s chatter. Unconsciously to her, she naturally began to sap them of their energy and they slowly got weaker and weaker. Finally Rika struck and bit each of them, stealing their energy and tasting their blood in the process. When she was finished, she looked around and saw that they had become mindless zombies; husks with nothing inside. Rika commanded her new servants to fly her to their base and to teach her what had changed in the last 400 years.

A long flight and a long lesson later, Rika and her zombies were on the planet Coruscant. They landed and Rika quickly went to work converting the rest of the pirate’s crew into her mindless minions. While she did this, she tested out her abilities on this new planet. Everything seemed to work perfectly, except the air there was different from Felucia’s; it was polluted and smoggy.

After converting her crew of 30 pirates, Rika became in charge. For 18 years she took her zombie crew and starting to make a name for herself, mostly consisting of mercenary work and personal security gigs. In time she became more used to sunlight and won’t burn to a crisp the moment she steps in it. Now it takes her a few minutes of exposure before she actually starts to get hurt. With their base on Coruscant and their reach everywhere, Rika and her mercenary band are known as a fighting force of mythical proportions. Now she waits for her next job to stare her in the face…

SKILLS:
Energy Absorption – As an Energy Vampire, Rika naturally has the ability to bite and absorb energy from nearby sources. This energy rejuvenates her and allows her to heal wounds at impressive speeds. She also recovers full stamina when she absorbs enough energy. However, this ability can be reversed. Rika can bite an injured/exhausted person and inject them with energy she has stored up, therefore giving them temporary healing abilities similar to what she possesses. This is very physically taxing however and she will only use it if there is no other option, as it leaves her drained and mostly immobile.

Mastery of CQC and Hand-to-Hand Combat
– Rika has spent 100 years training her body to be ready for any threat. Should you find yourself in a fight with her, you’d better be ready to die.

Advanced Night vision
– Her time in the cave has made Rika’s eyes effective at seeing in the dark, though she’s not perfect. Her precision in the dark has decreased since her years of exposure to light.

Stealth
– Rika is used to spending time stalking prey and hiding in the darkness. Therefore she knows how to move undetected past most enemies

Intimidation
– Energy vampires are scary. Enough said. Most creatures smaller than her will be frightened by her appearance and creatures her size or larger will react differently.

Piloting
– Rika is a novice pilot at best, knowing how to fly only basic speeders and can copilot Starfighters if she has too.

Novice Marksman
– Rika is an okay shot, but she doesn’t need to use her pistol too often, meaning she doesn’t have too much practice using a blaster.

Force Powers
Telekinesis – Rika spent 30 years learning about telekinesis and has nearly mastered the technique. Nobody’s perfect, even after all her time.

Pyrotechnics – Rika’s 70 years of training in the art of pyrotechnics has made her a skilled user and manipulator of fire. She can summon fires as small as a match that dance on her fingers or as large as a 7 foot by 10 foot wall, though this is very physically taxing to maintain and she usually keeps her flames small. She can generate concentrated flames hot enough to melt walls an inch thick, though this too requires a lot of energy. Her manipulation goes as far as her body will allow, usually requiring more energy depending on size and duration.

Trance – Rika spent her first 100 years of training in a deep mental trance that allowed her to cleanse herself and prepare her body for the Force. Her body sustained itself for all that time and she didn’t move from that spot, yet she survived without injury or lasting physical consequence. If need be, Rika can return to this trancelike state. She wouldn’t require food or water and would only use minimal amounts of oxygen in her breathing. This trance requires intense focus and concentration to achieve however, meaning the environment she attempts to use it in must be motionless and silent.

Acrobatics – Like all Force Users, Rika has learned to use the Force in enhance her physical abilities. She can jump higher, move faster, and react faster than normal whenever she uses the Force in that way. Her skills are limited to how often she uses them and how much she increases her abilities.

Mental Manipulation – Since leaving Felucia and interacting with the rest of the galaxy, Rika has slowly learned to use the Force to influence those around her. Although she’s strong in the Force, she hasn’t been able to make much progress in this field of study, meaning she lacks significantly in this area.

Sense – Rika has a strong grip in the Force and everything connected to it. Therefore, her Force Sense is very acute and strong, allowing her the same degree of Sense most Jedi/Sith have.

GEAR:
Mercenary Gear – Rika has transformed her crew of pirates into a band of skilled mercenaries. Therefore their armor needed and update. Rika, like most of her crew, wear a body armor suit that covers the torso, arms, and legs in a strong metal alloy. This armor protects the wearer from at least a single shot from a standard blaster before failing. They also wear matching boots and gloves. Rika doesn’t wear a helmet as it would only stifle her natural abilities.

Casual Gear – Rika has a tight fitting shirt and pants that don’t really leave much to the imagination. She wears pieces of cloth wrapped around her exposed skin whenever she plans on going out into the sun. A large sunhat also keeps the light off of her head and shoulders. If need be she’ll wear a pair of sunglasses.

Claws – Rika’s natural talon-like claws act as her weapons of choice. They are sharp enough to easily rip flesh from bone and are strong enough to slice clean through solid stone. These claws are retractable and she can expose and retract them easily, each action taking half a second.

Standard Blaster Pistol – Meant for emergencies only, Rika has a standard blaster pistol as a sidearm.
