Juisk sat at the edge of the bed, clothed only in his boxers, looking himself over.

Two months in a Kolto tank had worked wonders, and he was almost totally healed. Only the scar on his arm was left, and that would be there forever. All in all, he was happy to be up again, and hoped to get back to training as soon as possible.

He stood and dressed himself, donning his normal padawan's tunic.

Cnile slowly stepped into the medical room after her afternoon run, the same as she had done every day since the Anzati had detonated his bomb. Things had looked bleak at she hauled her padawan away from the burned out hull of a hospital, but the Temple healers had performed their duties admirably, and Juisk thankfully no worse for the wear.

Cnile had been thrilled to hear that Juisk would finally be being released today. Not only did it mean that she would be able to continue training Juisk, but she could also make good on a promise she had made two months ago. A coy smile plastered on her face, she walked over and patted Juisk on the back. “I'd tell you that you look good enough to pull the ears off the gundark, Juisk, but somehow it seems cliché.” Tightening her grip on his shoulder for a moment as she caught his eyes, she let go and stepped back towards the door.

Waiting a few moments for him to finish dressing, she began to speak again, “You picked a good day to finally get out of bed. You have another vistor today.” As she reached the door, Cnile half stepped through, wrapping her arm around the small body standing just outside the threshold. It was the Tortuga girl from that Juisk had saved. The girl's nervous excitement radiated through the room, causing Cnile to have to stifle a laugh before she spoke. “Juisk, I believe you've already met Meret.” Of course, he hadn't know the girl's name before, but she knew Juisk would catch on.

Nudging the girl forward, he watched as she walked forward towards Juisk, clutching a small wrapped package to her chest. She began to speak, but the words seem to stick in her throat as she stared up at the Padawan, eyes wide with wonder.

Juisk nodded and smiled, fastening his tunic and clipping his saber to his belt.

"Cliche, yes. But that's fine this time, it's good to be relatively whole again master."

He raised an eyebrow as the knight mentioned that he had a visitor. Who would come down here to see him?

He almost had a heart attack when the little Togruta girl shuffled in, looking and feeling nervous. But he recovered quickly enough to smile reassuringly at the girl.

"I think I do remember you," he smiled,"Meret, huh? That's a nice name. I'm Juisk, Meret."

He held a hand out gently for the little girl, smiling,"It's nice to meet you without all of the nasty explosions."

Meret's face beamed as she caught sight of Juisk's smile. She quickly pranced up to him, rushing right past the extended hand and wrapping her arms round his leg and in a rushed hug. Cnile stifled another giggle at the sight, instantly regretting not having brought a holo-recorder. After a few seconds, the Togruta girl quickly stepped back, holding the flimsy-plast wrapped package out to Juisk. Taking a second to adjust the twin bow keeping it shut, she smiled, “Thank you so much, Juisk!” she paused a moment, no doubt trying to find what to her mind were the perfect words.

From the look on her face, no doubt those words escaped her, resulting in her just holding the gift out towards Juisk a little bit further, her expectant eyes watching for him to take it and open it.

((FYI, it's your lightsaber crystal. You pick the color and details about it and all that good stuff ;) ))

Juisk was rather taken aback as the girl moved faster than he thought young children could move. More so when Meret wrapped her arms around him, setting off a few sore spots on his back. But he smiled and returned the hug, until she let go, holding out the flimsi- wrapped package.

Juisk smiled, and as the Togruta pushed the package into his hands, he opened it slowly, a genuine smile of happiness at seeing the young one.

His mouth quite literally fell open as the last piece of flimsi fell away, revealing a deep blue crystal. This was....no. It couldn't be. But...it was.

He was quite literally unsure what to say. Nothing in his training had ever prepared him for this. There was no course in the archives entitled Grateful sentients, gifts from.So for what was likley the first time, he let go of the previously all-important 'perfect jedi' routine in the presence of his master, and acted on his feelings.

"Ahh......wow......This is.....Meret, I could never thank you enough for this,.....this...amazing gift. I'll be more than proud to use this in my lightsaber."

He leaned forward and hugged the girl once more, tucking the crystal into his belt with care.

Meret giggled slightly at the sight of Juisk being found speechless while Cnile leaned against a wall at the back of the room, watching the scene with interest. It was nice to finally see him drop the perfect Jedi routine. While it was good that the boy followed the tenets, she had a hard time watching so many Jedi act like perfectly programmed droids. If the sentient of the galaxy were to ever trust the Order, Cnile knew that the Jedi would have to learn a human touch.

Still, human touch or not, Meret had places to be. Cnile levered herself up off the wall and stepping over to Meret and placing a hand on her shoulder. “Well, Meret, if you stay much longer you'll be late to your lessons.” The girls eyes widened slightly as the surprise of what time was hit her. She blubbered a rushed farewell and dashed out the door, leaving a Juisk and a giggling Cnile alone in the room. “Turns out she was Force sensitive.” she said, a wistful smile settling onto her face. “I guess if you could only save one, you couldn't do much worse than her.

Juisk smiled brightly and called another "Thank's Meret!" to the girl as she ran off, and was pleasantly surprised to hear that she was Force Sensetive.

"She's got a good heart, she'll be a great Jedi."

He examined the crystal in his pocket once more, turning it over in his hands.

"Sooooo......lightsaber construction....."

He looked up at his master, smiling slightly.

Cnile smirked knowingly at her Padawan's eagerness. Taking a deep breath, she widened her eyes and looked straight at Juisk, “Yes, lightsaber construction. Best to begin as soon as possible yes?” She gestured for him to follow her out into the hall, slowly leading him through the hallways. “There isn't too much I can do but give you the time and materials necessary. I do know that you've already got your hilt constructed. At this point, all you need is to select the proper powercell, lens, and emitter.

She stopped at one of the larger intersections of the temple, nodding to Juisk. “I'll be waiting in the fountain room. You'll find a selection of materials and a workbench in your quarters.” she smiled, “Have fun.

Juisk almost ran to his quarters, but managed to compose himself into a mere fast walk.

He arrived in his quarters, waved the door aside, and sat at the workbench located at the far side of his room, surveying the components before him.

He talked to himself as he looked at what he had available, and considered his choices.

------------------------------

He appeared from his quarters some hours later, holding his results in his hand.

It had taken a good deal of deciding, but he had eventually Used an Ossian Duelling lens to produce a more stable beam, along with a standard powercell and emitter matrix, as well as the striking blue crystal that Meret had give him.

He wandered over to his masters quarters, lacking anywhere else logical to look for her, and knocked a few times on the door, holding his new lightsaber out in front of him.
