First off, let me start by saying that the Hutts are a bunch of bloated, over pampered slugs that could use a salt bath, losing to them boils my blood.

Anyway.

My name is Robert Delenzik. I am fifty three years old and serve as the Commandant in the Republic Marine Corps. I have two sons, Adam and Joachim, ages twenty seven and twenty three respectively. Adam went off for Jedi training at an early age and Joachim followed my footsteps into the Republic Military Academy on Coruscant. Suprisingly, I am able to maintain good relations with Adam, unlike most parents who never see their children after they head out for Jedi training.

I've not spent all that much time in the limelight or dealing with the media as a whole, unlike some generals who seem to be around strictly for that. "No comment" has got to be my most repeated phrase in front of those stammering fools in the media world. We have a mutual distaste for each other and thus my backstory has always stayed relatively quiet. I guess I'll put it down here.

My parents weren't exactly wealthy but I wasn't the bastard son of a spice dealer and a prostitute either. My father was a Sergeant in the Republic Military with a small splash of PTSD and my mother a salon owner in a nice district of the city. My childhood was unremarkable, I earned my way into the Academy through solid effort throughout school and thankfully it was free so long as you served afterwards, which I planned on doing anyway.

Service started after graduation at age twenty-two. My first deployment was nothing special at a glance, but what should have been a simple ground assault against an insurgent force turned into a three year tooth-and-nail brawl between forces under my command and that of a fallen Jedi. It's a memory I'd like to bury as much as possible, I saw a lot of things on that jungle world that I wish to forget. Long story short, we won.

I've seen so many battles that after a while the begin to blur. Fighting against insurgency groups, Alsakans, Hutts, Taung, whatever, it's all the same. Time and time again I've come through, either by some kind of divine luck or otherwise, looked death in the face and come through with only a couple scratches and bruises.

The Republic's first attempt at fighting the Hutts was, to be blunt, pathetic. We got our asses handed to us in whatever theatre we fought in, they were just too numerous and well-funded to be held back and the crimson-bladed Dark jedi in their ranks only compounded the issue as my men got blown to bits. It should be clear as day that we needed the Jedi to fight them then, but when we needed them most the Jedi were stuck shuffling through Grandmasters. This new one though, Taleza, has some fire in her belly. She wants to win this war unlike half of the other morons I've seen take control of the Jedi. From pacificst monks to capable warriors ready and willing to join the fray. The Republic has been building during the time off and are ever closer to being able to match the terror that surrounds them. Some place their faith in shadow operations and special forces, I place mine in the average soldier, the ones really out there fighting the wars whilst groups like SOLAG take in all the media attention.

I lead the Republic Marine Corps and I wouldn't have it any other way.
