Alright sorry for taking so long been busy with so many things at the moments.

Alright lets see if I can answer your questions in a way that will bring about a good agreement.
  • The environment is like this (or at least how I imagine it should be like) the base has only one tractor beam used for heavy asteroid (being a more powerful version than most others) since that would be needed in a asteroid field even if it didn't move much. Smaller asteroids can be moved by a group of mining ships that have a smaller tractor beam on all their ships, so working together it will work. So I am thinking the station is circled by asteroids but not much near it, plus your ships do have tractor beams though not capital ships level as they are only on gunships but enough that it wouldn't be unreasonable that you could move through it. Even if it isn't very dense it is a asteroid field, so they will still be there.
  • The reason I say this is because even if the asteroid field isn't that dense your starfighters are meant for speed and though they can maneuver quickly the pilots haven't had a living working a asteroid field so I would guess that my pilots would have more experience moving around a asteroid field. Plus I have always mention that the asteroids weren't as dense near the station than further out. Plus the fact that you mention a asteroid big enough to hide the fleet is there means their should be other such asteroids in here.
  • Now for the big thing I think you should know is that me using the asteroids like this is something everyone is encourage to use in a battle actually, imagine you're in a battle against someone there were some NPC's but they died or something, an one of them has a grenade on them, you also so happen to have a grappling hook or the force so you use said grenade against your opponent. It is the same concept that I am using right now while using the asteroid field, hell you can use it if you wished to since it is the environment we both make together, so if you want to say the Imperium started just blowing up the asteroids and now my fighters had less cover and were almost out in the open, than you have every right to post that. An unless I can stop you than it will work.
  • As for the aforementioned destroying of the tractor beam, when did you post it, the one before my post, than I have the right to stop that or at least try to prevent that action, unless of course you are able to realistically say my attempt at stopping you fails than yes my tractor beam for my station would be destroyed.
  • I think you should also understand I have to stick with the numbers I posted so the U formation can only be made up of as many ships that I have if that means there will be a lot of space between the ships to complete the U formation than so be it. I never stated at they were right next to each other that would yes imply I have far more ships than I actual do.
  • For moving the asteroid with a gunship my only problem is how powerful is it really, a small gunship moving a asteroid the size of half a heavy cruiser (I haven't looked at the numbers so I am not 100% sure the size difference.) Because not all tractor beams are equal, plus it isn't invalid until you post saying if your forces was able to beat the counter or not, if you feel like you can and can support it than yes post saying my counter failed that's how these battles work.
  • But the fact that you did the math is great you can post that saying why your side is able to do it, that's sadly how battles work usually you need to be able to give reasons.
Sorry for taking so long I am sure most of my points seem weird so I do apologize a bit tired when I wrote this, if you have any questions please ask them.

Learned a few things there. I appreciate it that. One thing that I was still wondering if you could answer. Can you let us know how many ships you have? I am sure the fact that you know our numbers and types of ships has influenced your strategy. It puts me at an immense disadvantage because I don't know how many of each type you have.

Thanks man!

I said in my first post which I understand was a bit unclear so my bad.
35 Y8 (basically a discount version of the Falcon)
24 Ysomething (mining ships that has a weak laser canon and a tractor beam)
You will be able to find the links to these ships in my first post, in the second half of it.

@Romaar Sancolt Sorry again this has been a hard experience and hopefully we can return to Rping soon.

Oh seriously? As a noob to this site, it's kind of worrying to hear that. My experience was with battle simms in the past which were a lot more clear. It was all about the numbers in those things and there wasn't as much that was open for interpretation. As you can see, this is new to me and I appreciate you being willing to be open and to discuss these things. I really hope I don't have that many bad experiences. Hopefully my questions didn't cause you to have a bad experience with me,

Without naming people, what happened with others that cause you to have bad experiences so I know what to look out for.

For these kinds of battle trust me there will be plenty of fighting OOCly but as long as the people talk which has been a problem for myself and many others in the past then there wont be as much problems.

An don't worry I understand that your new and want to make sure you get out there ready to face what will most likely come.

  • People jumping into open threads simply to kill a PC (one of mine sadly in this instance)
  • People complaining about what a ship can or cannot do (wasn't one I personally experience but one I saw during many battles)
  • People trying to box you in, though this isn't really that bad but when the person calls a much more powerful PC to take you down it becomes a problem since the person than is just running away from the fight he would lose.
  • Keep a eye out for the Fandos since some people who play Mandalorians can get kind of testy with their PC's
  • Finally people trying to say you don't have the right to counter their attack (unless of course this in during the end of the fight when it comes time to do a finishing move ((doesn't mean a killing finishing move just one that will end the fight))) Happened to me and really that IC reason was stupid and was completely guided by OOCly reasons but I digress, theses are some of the issues I and a few others have faced.

But don't let that discourage you, even when I am terrible at PVP I still go out and try, and in the end you will find that more members are nice and friendly so you wont have to worry too much. These issues are just occasion and can and will most likely happen but not regularly, plus trust me I love answering questions and had help when I was a noob so I feel like returning the favor by helping other noobs out.

Hey man. Working on the post now. Sorry it took me awhile. I had my calc final and didn't have time to write a full detailed post. I had one last question regarding your post. Can you explain the horse shoe formation? Does it extend from the asteroid base to my ships or are there two separate groups like one doing a horseshoe around the station and another group surrounding my ships? If it is the two separate groups, about how large are they in ships.
Thanks bro!

It's one large horse shoe where the end is made up of the mining ships.

So just two ends are made up of several mining ships like bubbled up sorry if it seems weird and don't worry it took me a while so take your time.
