S13 Ranking

Hey I had a thought earlier today, and yes, it did hurt.


Ive noticed theres very little chance for new members of S13 to gain rank, unless an already existing agent leaves or dies in action. I feel creating a way for lower ranking members to get some promotions when their eligible will draw more people in and keep them interested.

Is there a way for me to do that? I was only planning on adding one maybe two ranks. Something like Special agent or Top agent. Maybe even have some sub-listings for agents with specialties in certain fields, like hacking or spying.

I don't think a faction like S13 would want to add additional ranks. It ends up becoming bureaucratic. People go into it with the understanding that if they start as Initiate then they only get ranked up once. That way, all agents, from a ranking stand point, are equal. Only the Director and Supreme Chancellor would be above them.

Specialization in the agent rank would be fine though.

A ranking for S13 goes against the spirit of the faction. Everyone is supposed to be incognito, so there cannot be any "top" or "special" agent, since nobody would know about it anyway.

Alrighty, just thought id run it past you gentlemen to get your take on it. I thought the specialization thing would be good because some newer agents have little combat experience and instead focus on other practices.

Yeah, I think the specialization would be fine so long as they're not ranks.

Of course not, I dont think ill even add anything to the roster specifying. Its more of an unspoken thing so those with little experience in important stuff can still do missions.
