Sailo Inc.

HISTORY
Shortly after bringing down the government of his home town Salem and his friend Rios Surgate decided to make a Private MIlitary corporation. They began to go into bodygaurd business for rich customers to make the money to start it and buy the Corvettes and crew members needed for their plan. After a few years they were able to buy the first corvette. They named it the Stratsworth then hired in some crew members. Instead of going directly into the mercenary buisiness they continued to work as bodygaurds to get the funds they needed. This worked out better because of the large amount of people they hired to help them who were promised some stock of the company they were starting and soon they bought the second corvette. This was another Hammerhead class corvette which they named The Scepter. They began to customize the ships for mainly Anit-Fighter work and promised eachother they would fix their next ship to be a anti-ship corvette. After making these adjustments they went against a small fleet that had few fighters and had a larger amount of larger ships. They won but their ships needed repair. After a few months of finding more money and getting people to listen to them, they had enough money to buy the final corvette for now. After their last experience with a fleet they bought a Consular class corvette and named it the Attribute. After they fixed it up for ship to ship battles and began to work as a mercenary group. Unfortunately because both Salem and Rios were a little bit hard to contact they found someone to hire and get jobs for them and they started up their Intelligence department. After they realised they couldn't always be on ship or on the ground they decided to seperate the crews so some would work as fleet and others as ground workers. Rios was the ground commander with Salem and (PaRRoT's character) lead the Intelligence Department. Since starting it fully, Sailo has become a success. They are still looking for a Fleet Commander but since there isn't one Salem is in command till they do find one.​

BELIEFS
Sailo believes some laws must be broken and that other must not be seen. They act as the people who hire them ask them to. If they find that they won't do it they will back down and tell them to find someone else. They usually have little problem against fighting but if it turns into genocide they will stop because of bad publicity.The universe is a mass of ordered chaos and that everyone has it coming to them. Once you join you are to hold no grudges against past enemies. Those are to be forgiven and forgotten. Once finished with a job do not engage them again.​

LOCATIONS: They have a office on Coruscant where the Intelligence Department gets them Contracts otherwise they reside on ship.​

190 of the best ship based crew on the Attribute.

UNIFORMS: The ground forces wear armor and masks with their own speacilised design. The fleet uniform is dark blue. The Inteligences' is dress up robes and slightly casual clothes.

FUNDING:
What they get from their contracts and any shady business deals to take over another company.

GOALS: They hope to become a major force in the wars ahead and to do what they feel neccessary.

OPERATIONS: For larger contracts that require more men they send out 1-3 ships to help out. For the smaller "See no evil-hear no evil" jobs they send out 2-5 two man Spec Ops teams that are highly trained to fulfill them. Sometimes the teams will have to work together to acheive desired outcome. To get contracts contact Intelligence at their office on Coruscant.

It looks pretty good. But I think the hammerhead class sghips were Old Republic era rather than our ancient era, but then again there's no real idea of the actual classes of ships about at the moment.

Has Boli approved this?

Oh yeah...a legitimate merc company can't just pirate to get funds, and them being simply criminals might make a bit of a drawback hiring them...it might be worth rethinking that bit.

How did you beat a fleet of larger ships using 2 corvettes.

I never said they were larger just that they had more frieghter like ship than Star Fighters.

No I had to make the charter first as per Independant Factions guidelines.

And it doesn't. It was only a pirate group till they made the Intelligence department who gets contracts for them to take out. They only pirate when there is no contracts and during those times they use false identity signals.

I think you're meant to sort factions out with Boli via PM before posting them up now...that's what Drun and I had to do.

And to be honest, pirates and mercenaries aren't really the same thing, but it's your faction.

True but wouldn't you have to cut down on Man-power if you couldn't get money? So techinically I needed to have something to help out with whent here are times of peace like pirating. And my excuse is valid.

There's plenty of legal work about in the galaxy, they could have farms if they wanted to, on some planet or a mine or something, which they work in. And I think just saying "they use different identities" is a bit easy for them getting away with pirating, too. I don;t know, but I'm just a little sceptical of that.

I understand but I doubt they want to be miners. They signed on for a Merc company for action.

The structure hardly works for a mercenary faction - typically, mercs don't like being above or below each other.

And if you're going to have an office on Coruscant, you'll need to drop the pirating bit. Simply using aliases won't stop you from being picked up in a line-up, or whatever, and I'm gussing the Republic is a little beyond that at this point.

Yeah...cos the script writers of POTC were the first people to say that someone reminds them of someone else somewhat...
