Samara was adopted since a very early age by a Sith marauder, who was well aware that the child was apt for becoming one of them, and he also knew about the particular ability the child had, or would have given enough time. The marauder posed as a savior. In a place where she most likely would have died, he saved her and took care of her as a father would have. He did a good job, and in turn, he was appreciated and loved by Samara as such.

Yet

Coincidences don't exist, even less ones such as this. There was never an adoption properly said in the first place, there was no saving; it was a kidnap. One with the purpose of granting the Sith a useful agent in the years to come. She was properly conditioned to suit the Sith order during those years, and she was taught since an early age how to handle herself in the outer rim territories, the place where she was raised.

Besides her master, Samara would answer to no one, whether it was a crime lord, a cartel or a hutt, her loyalties were set on stone, the kind of loyalty nor credits nor anything else can buy. So it was, her training began since a very early age, different to most Siths she had heard of, since they were always found or brought into the order at a later time mostly. She was taught the ways of the Dark side and told about the lies of the Jedi, people she learned to despise over time, starting since she was old enough to have use of reason. Most of her early training consisted of several missions of minor importance given by her master, generally complementary to whatever her master's current mission was. Usually, they required skills such as subtlety, seduction, and carisma, but some other times they required combat awareness and martial prowess, things that her master wanted to carve on her. Each of her missions served her as a practice and as a measure to test how much she had improved since the last time she accomplished something alike, and with every success, the ammount of trust put into her augmented.

She learned to lie, to smile, to have passion, to use it, she learned about different cultures and languages, about crime and justice, about the force and its uses. Little by little she was growing up, and so was the Sith Order. Honest lies and deception were as normal as breathing for her by her early years.

Amri Varn was the name of her master. He instructed her in the arts of lightsaber combat and she learned well how to handle two lightsabers at once, nonetheless, she always had problems to handle only one at a time, and came to feel insecure with only one lightsaber available. Later on, as her learning progressed, she began to learn an advanced style from her master, and with it, she started to work on her own version of it as she constantly tweaked what she learned, following her master's instructions. According to his teaching, she should shape it to complement her flaws, and with every experience of real combat, her skills would heighten. Jar'Kai was what she had learned from Amri, yet, she watched his manouvers, footwork and feings from Makashi with envy. She wanted to be unpredictable in combat as much as he was, and as much as she was outside it.

How she came to realise the importance of being unorthodox was when she faced a Jedi padawan on Dosuun. The Jedi, adept at traditional forms and well versed in Soresu, easily kept the Sith at bay matching her strength with skill and soon she started to push back, forcing Samara to move back as well. She found her attacks to be useless, until her back was almost touching the durasteel wall behind her.

In that moment, Samara took her last chance and improvised at the verge of defeat. She switched from quick and light movements, to bold and strong ones using both blades constantly together as if one, switching back to what she knew best when she was beginning to be predictable again, making the defense movements from the Jedi look exaggerated in comparison. The seemingly random and unorthodox barriage of attacks, along with the few feings she knew from sight, briefly confused the jedi, and Samara took a step ahead pushing the padawan back. She began to fight back freely, as she defined it. Enjoying the battle but without underestimating her opponent, nor the gravity of the situation she was in. She was not fearless but she didn't think much about it, instead, she acted, feeling how the battle flowed between them. With an increasing joy about how the tables suddenly had turned, her attacks gained confidence. She was relieved in her near-death experience, from which she had not survived yet, but it's success tempted her to play a dangerous but exciting blade game with the Jedi, to keep going that way.

She used both her lightsabers together as if they were a staff, and then separated, suddenly turning one off and fighting with one, much to the suprise of the jedi, who could not predict what would her next movement be. Suddenly, Samara attacked her, but in the last moment as the lightsaber of the padawan was reaching hers, she turned it off and slided by her defensive stance, only to ignite it again a fraction of second later, succesfully impacting the suprised Jedi and ending her life as the red blade opened her chest from side to side without giving her enough time to feel much pain. She knew that if the fight dragged on, the Jedi would have beaten her, so she seized her chance when she saw it.

Her master's congratulations were scarce, but they were deeply appreciated every time she recieved them, and in that ocassion she earned more than that. Along with them, her master gave her a pair of Qixoni crystals to use in her lightsabers, exceedingly rare. Their relationship was strange, as it often was like master an apprentice, but it switched back and forth to father and daughter, eventually becoming a mixture of both. Despite everything that had happened, and the dark truth of her past, Amri got to become really fond of her apprentice and daughter in the time that they spent together, but that was not percieved as weakness.

Years after, finally the day came for her master to embark in a long mission, which would leave her to continue alone, as her own judgement would dictate. Their relationship was tangible, different to the synthetic or hollow ones most Sith had, having known love, care and comfort, the feeling of loss was only aggravated further. No tears were shed, there was no hesitation, but the feeling remained the same nonetheless, and it was then when her father would give her the last gift she would ever recieve from him.

Her lack of eyes were unnerving to everyone but her. A visage of empty sockets were considered disgusting by every humanoid species, and probably every other kind of species as well, and though she could cast an illusion to make it appear as if she had eyes, it was not the same. She would always have troubles with it. When her master was about to board his ship, this time without her, he looked back at her with a smile, as she was standing on the landing plataform, unnable to reciprocate. His smile was a genuine, small gesture, that despite not having much ceremony to it, it carried a warm feeling, inducing confidence. And along with it he reached out to her, and placing his own hand onto her's, he gave her his own shades as a gift. With them on, it was impossible for anyone to see her eyes... Or the lack of thereof.

Ever since that day she has always wore the same glasses; and she has decided not to take them off until she and her master meet again. Even after years without notice from him, she still clings on to that decision.

NAME: Samara Drayen
FACTION: Sith
RANK: Acolyte
SPECIES: Miraluka
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 1,71
WEIGHT: 69kg
EYES: Disconcerting empty sockets, she is blind
HAIR: Black
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes

Skills and personality:
Samara is an excellent and convincing liar, good at deceiving people and also skilled at fighting with two sabers. Nontheless she has problems to fight using only once since she has trained and fought always with the two of them at the time, so meanwhile she is a foe to be reckoned with, having only one saber available is a handicap to her.

She possesses the rare ability of Pyrokinesis, and is a very skilled and usual practicant of Combustion. Given her ability to set things on fire its not uncommon for her to appear with burn marks in her clothes, or for the walls of her quarters to show similar signs. She likes to read and its common practice for her to read until falling asleep. Naturally, she reads novels and other types of books, but never anything related to the dark side of the force, ancient Sith sorcery, or anything related to the Sith order in itself, as that would be boring for someone who was practically born under its yoke. She reads as a form of leisure, nothing else. She prefers to read on paper, but they're so hard to get most of the times she conforms with regular modern ones.

Having a place in the top echelons of the Sith is not one of her goals, as she strongly believes that rank and prestige are not signs of prowess nor would make her or anyone a better fighter. She would prefer to be a marauder that is able to defeat a dark lord of the Sith than possessing the rank herself. As such, she is not antsy for impressing anyone. She thinks its better if people underestimates her, for whatever the reason, be it a lower rank or her appareance, since it gives her an advantage.

She comes out as a calmed and cool-minded individual, easy to get along with, charming and even funny. She has a tendency of having a sharp tongue and make jokes out of people or situations, and is very prone to sarcasm. Despite her confident and friendly approach to most individuals, she isn't as naive as she might look.

Social, out-going, and light-hearted she seems to lack the constant state of repressed angst and anxiety for going in a power trip most Sith have. She has no traumas, or mental derangements, everything she does, she does it in a state of lucidity, understanding her actions and the consequences and implications. At least most of the time.

She has an habit of destroying things in order to release stress, however and after years of doing so, it has become an adiction more than a way to destress for her, and now its a hard habit to get rid off.

Lightsaber forms, gear and appearance
Ataru; Jar'Kai

Two dual-phase lightsabers with a slighty curved hilt, as most Makashi duelists have it. Both have a Qixoni crystal in the crystal chamber, with the hilt being made of phrik alloy.

Separately, she possesses a sabercane, which is only a fancy term for saying a lightsaber that poses as a walking cane. Generally paired with a blaster, since she feels insecure with only having one saber.

Her build is slim but athletic, and vague muscle marks can be recognized at simple sight whenever her abdomen, arms, or legs are exposed. She likes to excercise and keep herself in good physical shape, regardless of the power that she might gain through the use of the force. Her hair is kept short, barely reaching the shoulder line and is black like tar, same color that often decorates her lips and fingernails. Her teeth are sharp and white, contrasting to a greater extent against her lips if they are painted black.

Interesting ability. Is it spontaneous combustion, as in does it originate from the target, or is it "cast" if you will, originating from Samara? Just wondering.

Quite exquisite weapons, which I'm curious where she got them since she's 18. A life with the Sith, yes, but phrik's expensive. Also, if you wanted your standard red crystal, I was under the impression most Sith craft their own Synthetic crystals, of which there are 3 kinds. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Synthetic_lightsaber_crystal#Variants

Gear:
Generally, her lightsabers, a blaster, and her clothes. Often and if needed, will use an armor.
What sort of armor, if I can ask?

Otherwise, I very much like her, she has a good history and good description.

Indeed, most Sith do, but not all, i wanted do try something different with her... Pretty much in the same way that Makara uses a Synthetic crystal himself instead of using a natural crystal. The materials for the weapons were provided by her master, before being given the crystals she indeed used a Synthetic one as well.

The reason behind the Phrik is her insecurity regarding having only one saber, or losing one.

I have still to find a picture that suits my likings, but it will be something that covers more than her breasts and her crotch only.

Let's see...I can predict the future now.

I take a glove, smack it across your face.

Then we finish this in a duel with one bullet each.
