Ruthless, calculating and wandering. Saren is a man whose clan was decimated long ago after binding himself to an oath to bring his people back to its former glory. Formally a Separatist serving in the war against Mandalore the Exalted and his Loyalist forces, Saren provided aid behind enemy lines as a rogue agent whose tactics knew no restraint. Upon the war's end, Saren eventually disappeared from the newly formed Mandalorians and wandered once more. Rumors suggest he returned to his homeworld, Endor, in order to extend Corden Vencu's invitation to his clan, but was met with aggressive opposition; eventually leading to a violent end to his family lineage. Supposedly, Saren is now the last surviving member of the infamous Deathwatch.
Personality

Cruel and vindictive paint most of the spectrum that is Saren's mind. The fires of war and battle forged much of his youth as he fought beside his father. The bonds of family were just the brush as he grew close with his brethren, albeit few. His distrust has grown throughout his years of bounty hunting and being a mercenary due to the nature of these jobs, often finding it easier to simply keep everyone at arm's length. Quicker to draw your weapon this way should the moment call for it.

He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it.

From birth Saren was brought into the world as a warrior, trained through his childhood to become a soldier who fought in the name of one ideology, Resol'nare. Through these tenents, Mandalorians would use them as guidelines within their lives, but the Adenn lineage provided themselves and others with a different view that had been lost years ago. They refused the call of Mandalore, viewing the new pretender to be nothing more than delusional fool, mired in his own inadequacy. The Adenn lineage managed to pull themselves through after a deadly blow was dealt at Endor when their leader, Teti Viba, was killed by a group of spacers.
This forced them to relocate else where in the galaxy for some time, considering it to be a strategic disappearance. Years managed to pass and the family was finally able to begin again after swaying a rather large group of their brethren whom were displeased as much as they were with the oh so Exalted one. Their numbers were considerably smaller than Mandalore's forces and restrained their efforts in toppling him, forcing them to perform small raids on remote bases in order to work their way up. Saren eventually departed on a crucial mission with his father that could change their stance in the war; an interception on a supply haul full of Basilisk war droids. It ended in disaster with his father sacrificing himself to allow for his own son's escape, so that Saren may carry on the fight.
The lone Deathwatch soldier struck out into the galaxy as the clan rebuilt itself from the crippling loss of their leader and fellow Mandalorians. His work was varied, but there was always someone needing a blaster for hire and within time, Saren struck the jackpot. A Trandoshan by the name of Balkk was stirring up trouble at the wrong place and the wrong time. His affiliations were tied to the newly founded Mandalorians created by the new Mandalore, causing Saren to capture the Trandoshan and begin his plot. Saren eventually sold Balkk to the witches of Dathomir whom were loosely tied to the Sith Imperium. The exchange escalated into the Mandalorians finding out about their brother being kept behind enemy lines, sparking much debate. Corden Vencu, a prestigious warrior amongst the clans, stood firm on retrieving their comrade. The Exalted One stood his own ground and refused such an effort. All the while Saren had joined Corden's cause, quietly sewing the seeds of discontent.
Civil war eventually broke out with Saren watching this theater of war erupt into a blaze. His mission of weakening and eliminating the new founded Mandalorians was coming to fruition. Countless Mandos butchered each other throughout various fields of battle, breaking down their numbers in due time. The plan almost went off without a hitch and Saren would attempt his own assassination on Corden Vencu to disrupt the power structure; once Mandalore the Exalted had been eliminated, there was nothing left to stop him. Yet, the call for peace was announced. A summit was held at the end of the war with both sides convening under prescribed circumstances. This left the lone Deathwatch agent enraged, springing into action as the summit opened itself for discussion.
Acting as a lone gunman, Saren fired out from the crowd at a single spokesman from the Loyalist side. Chaos erupted into a bloody onslaught from both sides, firing at one another without direction. In time the fighting was calmed systems aboard the ship they were convening in, but peace prevailed on this day. Loyalist laid down their weapons and were absorbed into Separatist forces. Corden Vencu reign as Mandalore was the only strong formation Saren had ever seen. Fighting them was futile and an assassination would prove difficult, so he decided to join Vencu fully with his support.
Time progressed and conflict visited the Mandalorians as it always has.
The clans broke themselves and were scattered to the winds through their hands or another.
Last of his name, Saren Te Adenn marched on into obscurity.
ASSETS
Helmet
- Saren's helmet serves as the control center for most of his suit's abilities. A rangefinder is attached to the armored helmet and could track up to thirty targets, while a battle computer inside the helmet allowed the Saren to control the suit's weapons, sensors, and jet pack through verbal commands. A dark macrobinocular viewplate offers a variety of vision modes, including infrared. A pineal eye sensor on the helmet combined with an internal overlay display to provide tracking information within a 360-degree radius. Motion sensors, an encrypted internal comlink, and a broad-band antenna completed his helmet's devices, all of which could be linked to the Saren's weapons or their personal starship. The helmet can also act as an environmental filter system, with a two hour reserve tank providing breathable air to Saren.
- Without access to Beskar, Saren had to make due with other forms of metal to make an effective suit of armor to protect himself from his foes. He then opted to use Dura-Steel for the plating in his armor, allowing the armor to withstand blistering heat, frigid temperatures, and monumental physical stress.
- Specifically these plates protect Saren against anything short of a blaster rifle, even then it would take a couple shots to get through. Pistols on the other hand would be utterly useless. Under these plates, Saren wears an Armorweave body suit. A cloth material capable of dissipating blaster bolts, and is known to have an at least limited resistance to lightsaber attacks. The weave is also resistant to pistols and knives, proof against shrapnel, but useless against blaster fire.
- This jetpack includes a targeting computer, flight gyros, and a missile. Saren's fuel tank holds enough fuel for two minutes of continuous operation . Each lift-off blast moves Saren up to 100 meters horizontally or 7 meters vertically. Directional thrusters are also featured, allowing gyro-stabilizers to apply counterthrust for maneuvering and landing.
- Years of tinkering with his wrist blaster, Saren managed to install multiple firing modes. The first being the base mode, a firing laser. The blast could inflict serious damage at a close enough range and could be recharged with a solar panel attached to the overall design, allowing practically an infinite supply of ammunition. The second firing mode used wrist rockets that were able to synchronize with his helmet's tracking system. These small rockets were mostly concussion while Saren usually preferred ones that were coated in a nerve toxin. The final firing mode took years for Saren to finally complete, using the Lanvarok as his main inspiration. This firing mode allows Saren to launch a single disc towards his enemy. This mode only allows Saren to arm himself with three discs and nothing more before having to reload.
- Saren uses a pair of WESTAR-34 blaster pistols custom-made as his main choice in terms of firing arms. Designed for brief but intense surprise attacks at close range, the pistols have weight-minimizing modifications and are made of an expensive Dallorian alloy which could withstand sustained-fire heating that would melt most ordinary guns.
- If there was one thing that Saren was sure of, it was the fact that he would eventually face off with his brethren. This caused Saren to seek out a way to destroy their 'impenetrable' armor, knowing how strong Beskar really was. Years of searching finally yielded a result. Saren managed to track down the blueprints to creating a shotgun, using the magnetic accelerator gimmick. In the end, Saren finally was able to craft a weapon that had thee ability to kill his brethren without ever actually putting a bullet into their bodies.
- The DEMP gun has three different power settings: The first setting only jolts a droid for a short time. The second can put a droid out of commission for a while with almost the same effect as a stun bolt would have to a Human. The third setting is designed to stop heavily armored droids and completely short not just the power cell, but fry the motivator and memory if used on a droid without heavy armor or insulation.
- Even though Saren could store everything within his pack, he chooses to use a utility belt for one thing to allow easier access. Upon this belt, Saren carries an assortment of nerve toxins. These usually ranged between lethal and non-lethal and two vials used as an antidote against the lethal form.
- A relatively simple design on the outside, the collar is actually a little marvel of engineering for Saren's line of work. It comes with a signal transmitter that broadcasts its position to its controller, contains enough explosives to blow the wearer's head off without destroying the surroundings and includes built-in microphones for surveillance.
