Arabella thought it was high time that she see her husband again. It had been over two years since she had left and that was the last time she had seen him. They still kept in touch, but it was hard with her as a Dark Jedi and him a council member for the Jedi.

They had decided to meet on the planet of Naboo for their secret meeting. She had traded in her black robes for something more conspicuous to wear on the beautiful planet. Her robes were still dark, but they were a lovely blue color, they had been her favorite when she had been a Jedi. Her hood was pulled low over her face as she walked through the still crowded streets.

They had decided to meet at night so if anyone did suspect something, they would probably forget by morning. They had decided on a small bar and a corner booth. She paid the bartender handsomely to make sure that no one would be sitting anywhere near them.

Now Arabella waited for her husband. This was a meeting she had been waiting for and dreading for a long time.

Rev Ultor, Jedi Master and standing Council member in the Order of the Jedi, he had told himself for years not to get entangled with his wife other than communication outside of meeting her. Somehow she had managed to drag him to Naboo and meet her at a bar, he was unsure of his feelings were more anxious or nervous; it had been two years there was no telling how much she had changed.

Taking in a breath he stared at the empty street that was lit only by decoratively placed lamps and the bright moonlight. His thoughts went back to the first day he had seen the woman he was about to meet, she was a beautiful woman, older than he if only by a couple years but maintained her youth like no one he had seen. Letting out that breath he wondered what the darkside had done to her, he promised himself he would be able to look at her and not let his emotions take the best before opening the door to the cantina. His eyes searched slowly through the empty bar, then he seen the vailed figure in the back, the recognizable blue cloak was all too familiar to him. Stopping in his step he pulled the black cloak a little tighter around his form, his hand resting on the lightsaber at his side. For all he knew this could be a trap, it had been days since he had spoke to her by any means, then she suddenly wanted to meet; it was far too different than normal.

Slowly making his way to this booth his hood hid his face from his wife, his entire form was hidden from her by the means of a black cloak casted in shadow. His face held no emotion behind the hood as he spoke to Arabella.

"It's been two years Arabella..."

The Jedi Master left it at that as he stared across at the hooded beauty. He wasn't sure what should be said, or where this was even going.

Arabella nodded her head and slowly lifted her hands to remove her hood. Her light brown hair falling over her shoulders. She had missed him so much and not seeing him was killing her.

"I know and I am sorry. It was for the best. How are you?"

She was not sure what to say to him. She wanted to ask about Caed so bad, but she would keep that for a little later. It was so nice just to see Rev again.

He watched as the hood fell to her shoulders and stared into her eyes. They were so much different than the hues he had seen two years before, and the eighteen years before that, it stung seeing her like this. Taking in another deep breath to relax he spoke to her.

"I've been well... and how have you been?"

His voice was cold, though still carried what it always had, the warmth of the lightside behind it. His thoughts were on Caed and wondering where his son had managed to get himself, not a day went by that he wasn't wondering what sort of trouble that boy was more than likely working himself into. Staring into Arabella's dark eyes and manipulated face was hard for him to take, motioning for a drink a Corellian Ale was place in front of him to sip on.

Arabella did not think she had changed that much, but his reaction told her that she had.

"I've been better"

She thought back to her meeting with the High Lord and sighed.

"How is Caed?"

She stared at her before finally removing the dark hood. His face still looked young, as if he were in his mid twenties, the Force had a way of keeping youth when used the right way. Crossing his arms he listened to her story and shook his head, it was weird still being married to the enemy, his mind just grasped that. Then she brought up Caed and his mind looked as if it had been crushed by a troop transport.

"What do you mean? You haven't seen him?"

His mind was racing, he had left a note saying she was leaving to find Arabella and that he had spoken to her about it. Almost two years since they had both left, he left six months after she had. Clenching his fists under the table he tried to maintain his emotions, but the fact of the matter was, he had no idea where his son was.

Arabella felt her heart stop as she heard his words. She had vowed herself not to cry when she saw Rev and that had worked, but now Caed was gone and a tear slipped down her cheek.

"No, where did he go?"

Her eyes were wide with fear and terror. She had left to save him and protect him and now he was gone.

He stared into her now tearing eyes, his face was filling with color as anger was nearly consuming him. Pausing for a moment to collect himself the emotion seemed to dissipate as easily as it had come over him in that instant.

"After you... you left and he wanted to find you!"

His voice carried out through the Cantina and caused what few patrons there were to look in their direction. His hands were balled once again and sitting out in the open on the desk as he stared at Arabella.

"I haven't heard nor seen from him in nearly two years... I thought he was with you!"

Letting out a breath of frustration he sat back into the booth and truly wondered where the boy was, and a glimmer of hope came over him that he wasn't following the path Arabella had been traveling thanks to his not finding her.

"No, he isn't with me...I have to find him...my baby!"

Her voice was full of terror, sadness, and anger.

"Why did you let him leave? You know I left for his own good and now he is gone!"

She could not believe that Rev did not go after him. She could not believe that he didn't let her know that Caed had left. She put her head in her hands and wiped her eyes.

"I--I'm sorry"

He shook his head at the thought, it was dumb not following the boy, but there were bigger things going on when he left.

"I couldn't just follow him! He left in the middle of the night, said you told him to meet him to discuss his future. I knew you'd never let him go down your path, but when he didn't come back I just assumed he stayed with you..."

Standing up from the table he downed what was rest of the Ale and stared up at the ceiling.

"What do we do?"

"I don't know"

She stood and took a few steps toward him.

"Maybe we should search for him"

She knew that she couldn't do that as soon as she suggested it. She had her assassin training to get back to as soon as possible.

"What if he did follow me? What if he is on--"

She stopped before she said the name of the planet.

His own mind began to prod Arabella's at her near saying of where the Dark Jedi were located, it could've been of help should it still be on the surface for him to steal. It however wasn't and she was blocking it out. Pushing that thought aside there were matters that were more personal to him, then she suggested it.

"Then he is lost... we both know of his arrogance. He was up and coming in the Order, he had much trouble with the Darkside growing up. If it was fueled... pushed he would be far past our control Arabella."

Looking to the door he sighed.

"I fear that may be his path... it always has been. Your leaving may have been our fix to the problem, but exactly what his destiny had predicted for him. We could be the ones that pushed him away..."

Taking a step at Arabella he stared at her.

"I only hope your prediction is wrong, for if its not we may have lost a child..."

Arabella nodded and filled the distance between them. She wrapped her arms around him and put her head on his chest.

"I hope we have not. Rev, I want us to be a family again. I miss you so much!"

It was the truth. She knew he would never leave the Jedi and she could not leave the Dark Jedi. They were doomed.

"I love you"

He wrapped his arms around the woman before him, his wife. Taking in a breath he could smell the familiar aroma she always carried and it made him smile. Pulling her in closer he didn't want to let go but knew with time their lock would break. She was falling slowly even if she hadn't realized it, something told him this would be the last time they would be meeting without being at each others throats.

"I love you too Arabella..."

Holding her for as long as possible he began to wonder what the future had in store for not just them two, but their son as well...

"You have to promise me that we will still meet when we can get away. I don't know what to do without you"

She had been in love with him since the first time she had laid eyes on him, her first day of Jedi training, twenty years ago. It seemed like so long ago, but she longed to have those days back again.

Upon hearing her voice plea for a promise his arms broke their lock on her and instead took her hands in his own. Smiling down at her there was a part of him that wanted to make that promise, though deep down they both knew it would not be possible in the state that the galaxy was in... in the state that the Jedi would soon be in.

"We both know that promise cannot be kept Ara... I wish we were under different circumstances... That we could both be venturing down the same path with Caed. Somewhere that we could live our lives without interruption from the Galaxy... from the Republic."

Letting out a sigh he gave each of her hands a squeeze before smiling at her.

"We'll meet soon, I promise."

"Come with me then"

She knew he would never go for it, but maybe a small seed would be planted and maybe one day he would come to her. She stood up on her tiptoes and kissed him softly on the lips.

"Think about it...we could be a family again"

He wanted to, but couldn't there was no way he could just turn his back on the Jedi after all they had done for him, they were his family for now. He could not turn his back on them as in a sense Arabella had done to him.

"You know that isn't possible..."

Watching her reached up for a kiss he gave it to her, his hands naturally pulling her a bit closer to his own form before breaking it.

"I can't turn my back on the Jedi... and I dont think I could ever embrace the Darkside as you have... it changes people Arabella. We will be a family soon... I sense it is our destiny to be together."

He smiled at her before moving down to press his own lips against hers again. He would leave the Jedi for her if she truly requested it, but this was just a way to get together, she would have to leave the Dark Jedi in order for him to leave the Jedi..

"I hope you are right"

The thought of leaving the Dark Jedi scared her, especially since she knew the High Lord did not like her and leaving would mean she'd be hunted down.

He listened to her and worried for her, it would be a long lonely time at the Jedi Temple as he thought about her and the situation they found themselves in.

"Then continue down this path, before we can once again connect, Arabella.. I don't want to see the darkside be the death of you..."

He pulled her in close for another hug and flashed her that familiar smile.

"With time Arabella...."
