Sel is most at home speaking, be it to a person or in front of a crowd. All they need is a touch of clever monologue, and they’ll be eating out of his hand.
When confronted with a physical challenge, however, Sel is sadly under-qualified. Although he has been trained in how to use his blaster, he has a tough time competing with those who have devoted their life to the business.

If you take a brilliant and cunning megalomaniac, give him a near-perfect memory, Force-assisted mind control powers, and give him a habit of putting those who get into his way into the streets – or worse, you get trouble. But that’s exactly what Sel is. In a conversation, he seems perfectly normal. But you’ll have to watch him – he is almost certainly trying to manipulate you.
HISTORY:
Sel Tavis was born as a rich, young nobleman of the Ghost Nebula. As a boy of culture, Sel was exposed to everything – fine arts and education, along with the finest luxuries the galaxy has to offer. And although he had seen the galaxy through the viewports of all the finest luxury yachts by the age of 16, Sel was bored. He was bored with what he’d seen in the galaxy, and he needed more; he adapted an alter ego – Fyorr Derillian. Under this pseudonym, he used his fantastic wealth to open up a small enterprise, without his parents knowing. This “enterprise” (which was, by the way, highly illegal), was Sel’s first step into the world of crime.
But his escapades couldn’t last forever. The inevitable transpired; Sel was exposed. Stripped of his nobility, his burgeoning crime syndicate’s members sent to prison, and himself hounded by the law, Sel did the only logical thing to do: He fled. He would never stay on the same planet for too long. One week he’d be hiding in the underbelly of Coruscant, the next, somewhere in Corellia. This continued for years.
But one day, a 25-year old Umbaran man named Teth P. Mesourn showed up with a less-than-genuine college degree to the Arc Corporation, and quickly worked his way up the ranks. But little did his superiors know, Teth P. Mesourn was a pseudonym. Not only that, but it was an anagram. Unscrambled, this name spelled “serpent mouth”. For this man was none other than Sel, changed by his years of hardship, ready to take the fight to the rest of the galaxy.
