The small hooded figure stepped off the transit shuttle, and into a seedy district on Coruscant. Piercing blue eyes gazed out from under the hood, taking in the surroundings, and seemingly looking for something. The area was known for being a filled with smugglers, bounty hunters, and all kinds of criminals.
The hooded figure strode through the crowded streets. She could feel everyone around her staring. It probably wasn't the smartest idea coming in her Padawan robes. It drew alot of attention. Her eyes darted left and right, trying to find somewhere she could get and change into a new outfit. After a few minutes of walking, and shrugging off the glances of curious passebys, the girl spotted the flashy sign of a store, that apparently sold clothing. Most likely a front for some other type of buisness, but it would have to do.
She sauntered over, entering the bright lit store. The walls were lined with various clothing, shelves in the middle of the store stacked with all types of hats, shoes, and random accesories. Though she noted the rather large Rodian at the back of the store, standing infront of a door, carrying a rather large rifle. A old slug thrower by the looks of it.
She ambled through the aisles, picking up various items of clothing as she went. Despite her intention to stay as inconspicious as possible, she ended up selecting rather bright and colorful clothing. Satisified with what she had chosen, she turned and walked towards the counter. Another Rodian acted as the cashier, and she caught a glimpse of him reaching a hand under the counter as she approached.
"I'm just here to buy," She stated, not wanting to get into any trouble already.
He seemed unconvinced, keeping his hand below the counter, but took the clothing from her, and rung up the price.
"Excuse me." She rang out sharply, "That price can't be right!"
He simply stared back at her, waiting for the young girl to pay him the money. She had another plan however, and waved her hand infront of him, focusing, and trying to persuade him;
"You will allow me to have the clothing for free,"
She opened an eye, looking to see if it had worked, but much to her dismay, he continued to just stare, though she noticed he had taken a blaster from behind the counter, and it rested in his hand, pointed at her lazily.
"No Jedi tricks," He barked, annoyed, "Full price."
She didn't want to start a fight, not now. So she reluctently payed in full, and scurried out of the store as fast as she could. It wasn't until she was back out into the open air that she realized how thick the air had been in there, and that was saying alot.
"Gotta change," She murmured under her breath, and looked around.
There was an alleyway up ahead, not the smartest place for a eleven year old to get changed, but it would have to do. She was a Jedi after all, well a Padawan at least, she could defend herself. Making her way to the alleyway, she pushed and snaked through the condensed crowd, stepping on a few toes as she went. It felt as though even more people were looking at her now, and she quickened her pace, wanting to get rid of her Padawan clothes as soon as possible.
Finally, she entered the dark alleyway, and gazed around. It didn't seemed to be occupied by anyone, just a dark, lonely alley. She made her way deeper into it, stepping over trash that was littered about, took another quick look around, then hastily changed. She stripped out of her robes with practiced speed, then fumbled around her newly aquired threads. Quickly, while glancing towards the entrance to make sure no one would wander in and see her, she pulled on a pair of blue tights, then a pair of dark red shorts. Pleased with their fit, she then slipped into a simple tight white sleeveless shirt, then topped it off with a thin black vest.
"Not to shabby." She mused, tilting her head to get a look at herself.
Finally, she slipped her boots off, and replaced them with a pair of dark leather boots. They were a little big, almost going all the way up to her knees, but they would do for now. Finally, she didn't look like a Padawan anymore. The first step in leaving her old life behind.
She rolled her lightsaber up in her old brown cloak, before leaving the alleyway, and most of her old clothing behind. Leaving part of her life behind.
