After several altercations for which Atin was payed handsomely he was however now without a ship capable of fighting as well as a mandalorian needs it to. That, simply could not do. No, not at all...to this end he took his ship, still capable of flying to the Kuat sector, home to the worlds greatest ship yards. Mostly known for it's military vessels of capital ship size, Atin would however, he was assured, find exactly what he was needing in a smaller vessel here and if it couldn't be found here, they could make it here.

With this in mind he docked in the space station of dock yard #12 which specialized in hybridized military vessels of frigate size. Plenty of ship for Atin, and the fact it wasn't simply a fighter meant he could live aboard as necessary.

He was greeted by a droid...Atin disliked droids. Not because they were mechanical per-sey, but simply because you couldn't really read the face of a droid. Hard to broker deals with.

"Greetings, I am C7-10, human cyborg relations I'm happy to welc-"

Atin raised a hand silencing the droid. "Stop right there tin man, I don't give a flying space weasels ass who you are, I want to speak to whomever owns you. I'm here to buy a ship, and I'll not be doing it with you."

The droid nodded, after saying something along the lines of complaints about rudeness which Atin shrugged off before leaving Atin to look around himself...

Kuat.

Deep in Galactic Alliance space, the planet has enjoyed a relatively hassal-free existence for centuries now and has been allowed to prosper. Arguably one of the most important systems in the Alliance, Kuat is home to the finest shipping yards in the galaxy. For over a thousand years it has turned out the finest ship in known space.

For this reason Casval was here.

Running his hands through the sea of ebony hair atop his head, he simply looked around the docking bay. Ships were in abundant supply. There were all kinds on this planet: fighters, frigates, capitol ships, et cetera. Obtaining these would help his cause tremendously, and yet they were all off limits. He didn't have the funds to spare to buy one, and to try and steal one was nothing short of suicide. Even though he was a former Imperial Knight, making it out of Kuat unallowed just wasn't in his skill level. Or anyone else's for that matter.

Hiding most of his figure in his ebony cloak, the Imperial hung against the wall, keeping his ears open for any interesting situations that might peek his interest. Once having been a Knight and having been sent on countless undercover missions, he learned the importance of staying quiet and listening firsthand.

And overhearing a short encounter between a droid and a customer, he quietly praised his patience and immediately got to work.

With quickness born from rigorous training, Casval flicked a restraining bolt at the droid, as he moved towards the Mandalorian, his act blocked by the droid itself. "Thank you See-Seven. I'll take things from here. You may shut down." As if listening to his command, the protocal droid shut down without protest.

"Please to meet you sir." With his blue eyes flashing and a matching smile spreading across his bronze face, Casval moved towards the man, extending his hand out to shake. "My name is Cruise, Thomas Cruise. And I hear you're interested in buying a ship."

"Ship ain't for sale."

The voice of a woman called out from within the ship. The man did not need to know that she had stolen it and was in the process of rigging it to her benefit. It had been shockingly simple, but only while she wasn't seen. Her blue skin and trademark red eyes weren't welcomed around here. She had escaped her home a long time ago, but that didn't stop her from getting into trouble wherever she went. A pair of standard issue blasters and vibroblades accompanied her everywhere.

As the droid wandered around, remarking on the man's impolite behavior, she brushed it off. She had been in the middle of hacking into the ship's navicomputer so it only recognized her. It had been hours and she was no close to cracking it than she had been when she started. It was frustrating, and now things were much worse with some idiot knocking on the door. She walked over to the exterior of the ship and poked her head out, her blue skin covered with soot from working on the ship. As soon as she spotted his state of attire and concluded he was a Mandalorian, her eyes narrowed.

"Oh balls..."

She ducked back into the ship, cursing herself for calling out to him like an idiot. She often forgot that she was a Chiss and that being presumptuous in this territory was akin to a death wish. She glared at the droid, as if it were entirely its fault for landing her in this situation. As she thought up ways to weasel herself out of the current predicament, she heard another man's voice ring out to address the Mandalorian. Heaving a sigh of relief, she quickly ducked back into the cockpit, scrambling to fly her ass out as soon as possible without being detected.

Atin was about to remove his helmet to talk to the businessman when someone yelled out "Ship ain't for sale." in his general direction. He looked up and saw a blue skinned very chiss looking figure walking into the ships hanger. He quickly put his hand up to the visor scanning the ship through with one of the settings before seeing her. She was armed decently as well.

"You'll pardon me..." he said absentmindedly. A chiss messing with republic made ships could net him a fortune if he was right. If he was wrong and she wasn't chiss, well he simply misheard her and thought it was an offer after all. He walked up carefully, armor clanking slightly on the metal ramp and he noticed there was a panel open with wires sticking out of it looking like they went into some part of the ships internal computer system.

"Hello? Did I hear you say this ship was for sale?" he called out, hoping to get a response to let him know where she ran off to, after getting to certain points all the metal around the ship would mess with his sensors, and he had to rely on the good old fashioned form of viewing things...

Vel'ku was in need, need of a ship to repair, need of someone to tell her what to do, need of anything really.
She'd been told the shipyard of Kuat might be a good place for an engineer to go. She wasn't about to pass up the chance. But, she was not about to ask every individual if they needed an engineer. She simply held herself up, allowing people to see her and if she heard whisper of a needed crew or engineer, only then would she address the people.

Vel'ku had come to the front of the shipyard after looking around, a man had arrived and she stepped closer to hear what it was the man needed. He needed a ship.
With ships, there is a crew. Vel'ku wasn't about to hold her breath for it though, so she simply kept listening and hoping.

Nuné Talar, Imperial Knight, was completely out of her element. Kuat had been the last place in the galaxy that she thought she would find herself on assignment. The world was a veritable starship graveyard, only, the ships were all still very much alive.
The young Knight had been on a reconnaissance mission in the heart of Alliance territory, sent to gather intel on the state and goings-on of one of the galaxy's political axes of power. The Imperial Knights, in exile on Sriluur, had gathered and rebuilt. But were still very much rebuilding. After the great devastation that was the Sith resurgence, almost nine heartbreaking years ago.
And so, in the spirit of rebuilding, many of the Imperial Knights had left the great mothership, buried in the deep desert sands of Sriluur, and had been given an array of assignments to fulfill, mandates that would aid in the future of her Order.

Clad in the dirt-brown poncho of a refugee, her hair messy and unkempt, Nuné imitated the scavenger class that frequented these starship docks and merchant houses in hopes of scoring a good deal. The days had been slow so far on Kuat. While there was plenty going on, there was little of import to her or her brethren.
She found herself now, in the midst of a Mandalorian, a tanned human, and a Chiss pilot, as she peroused one of the ship bazaars. This cosmopolitan bunch had absolutely piqued her curiosity, and she listened intently, should anything useful crop up in their dealings and conversations...

Narrowing his eyes at the words that the ship wasn't for sale, Casval silently cursed the Force. Things just couldn't go right this once. That was obviously far too much to ask for. Although the man was a Mandalorian, he was going to be an easy mark nonetheless. Casval was going to masquerade as the ship's owner, "sell" it to the warrior, and then go buy a ship with his credits. All the while the warrior would be nonethewiser and for all it was worth get blasted out of the skies when he tried to leave or get arrested on the spot for stealing the ship. He might have been relunctant to do this to a Mandalorian - he was fond of them and shared many of their views - but he was sure the man could take care of himself. After all, he was a Mandalorian.

Crossing his muscular arms over his broad chest, the former Imperial Knight peered up. Immediately his icy blue eyes widened at the sight of the blue skinned beauty (perhaps beautiful if she wasn't covered in soot). A Chiss in this part of the galaxy was definitely a rarity. Their relation with the Empire was well known and definitely not exactly welcomed in Alliance space. To say the least he was shocked she hadn't become the victim of a "random" inspection.

"Be cool.. be cool...cool like a Chiss.. yeah.. what would Thrawn do? **** it I don't know!"

She was panicking. There was no doubt about it. She was going to die. She looked at a stack of cardboard boxes and considered hiding underneath one. Wait, Mandalorians had X-ray vision and other ninja skills that would instantly give her away. She looked around and ventured further into the ship, ducking into a sleeping quarter. There she found the soldier she had whacked earlier to get the ship. He was emitting a lovely stench of decomposing flesh, but she had no other choice..

"Ahem, I said this ship ain't for sale."

She was clad fully in soldier armor a moment later, addressing the Mandalorian directly. The poor soldier she had killed had been patrolling the area and had been snooping around her ship. She hoped she was convincing. With any luck the armor would be impervious to his HUD. She resisted the urge to vomit inside the armor, the disgusting smell of death pressed right up against her face. Also, designed for a male, the armor did nothing for her poor boobs which felt as if they had a rancor sitting on them. She tried not to wheeze and sputter as she spoke, hoping he would simply leave.

"Now why don't you quit wastin' my time and go buy a ship from that kind man over there."

She nodded her head towards the creepo in a cloak. Why the hell were people obsessed with cloaks? She didn't understand the fashion trend. She glanced back at the Mandalorian, sweating profusely from being under the armor and under pressure. She hoped he wouldn't see past her bullshit and calmly walk off.

"Well I would, but unfortunately there's a problem with this dock yards security. I saw a female chiss going into this ship, and it looked like she was trying to hack something from the computer. It's a good thing your here, when I capture her, you can place her under guard, keep an eye on her while I check her for any bounties before turning her over to the authorities...but first if you could remove your helmet. Chiss are clever with disguises after all..." He said all this very nonchalantly, either this was the Chiss in question, or it wasn't and he would search the ship, either way the way off the ship was behind them now so it wasn't like she could simply sneak passed.

"After which I'll be more than happy to buy a ship from the nice man in the cloak."

((Going to sleep now.))

Stalking behind the Mandalorian in his ever so style and fashionable cloak that made him stand out in the crowd like the individual he was, he followed the man up the ramp - a few paces behind. Despite his towering frame and muscular build, he moved as silently as the night itself.

Peering over the Mandalorian's shoulder, he too spotted the pannel torn open, wires spilling out every which way. The ship looked brand new, and judging by the protocal droid from earlier he would guess that it was actually for sell as well. On Kuat if a ship was for sell it was in fine condition. So what was this woman doing? If she had been human he would be mildly suspicious. Her being a Chiss in Alliance territory messing with docked ships only made him ever more curious.

How interesting. Casval thought to himself. We have one asshole wanted for treason trying to sell a ship he didn't own to a Mandalorian, all the while a Chiss who so obviously doesn't belong is tampering with said ship claiming it wasn't for sell. How very interesting.

As the Knight played with these thoughts he couldn't imagine what would happen if the ACTUAL ship's owner came by.

Shifting his attention to the conversation taking place now, he just listened. From the way things were sounding a fight was about to break out. The smart thing would be to get out of the way. But damn it! Things were getting amusing. He just couldn't resist himself.

"Ahem." Faking a cough to let himself be known, he faked a little cowardice into his voice to play his part. "Yes, I believe that we should do as this man says. This is MY ship after all, and I want all trespassers out of it."

She bristled at the Mandalorian's words.

"Do you want me to take my pants off next so you can do a cavity search? Screw off, buddy, no one put you in charge."

Her fiery, bratty persona was leaking into her disguise. She quickly cleared her throat before walking over to the torn panel. She glanced back at the Mandalorian for a moment.

"If you must know, I handle the more technical side of things. I was sent here because the navicomputer for this ship was malfunctioning. I don't know where you saw a Chiss..you've probably got some mad PTSD going on and think a Chiss is hiding behind every bush."

Smooth, smooth. She was gaining confidence in her disguise. Minus the stench and excruciating pain, her delivery was flawless. Bullshitting was an art and she was the van Gogh of it. She glanced over as Mr. Cloaked and Mysterious wandered over and blurted that it was his ship. She blinked at him dumbly behind her helmet.

"What are you talking about? You were just trying to sell a different ship way out there and the droid was working for you."

She crossed her arms over her chest.

"Perhaps you're behind this incident. Is that why you want us off your supposed ship so badly?"

She hoped the Mandalorian would turn his attention on him as well. With any luck she would get out of this sticky situation as soon as possible.

"Well, easy way to settle this." he said pulling out a blaster and aiming it at the helmeted person. "Take off the helmet. In the mean time I'll use my nifty little helmet computer to call the authorities for back up to get things settled with Mr. Cloaks identity." He said the words simply, this entire thing was getting to strange for his liking and it would be put a stop to. His name after all was Atin, in basic translating to Stubborn and he certainly lived up to it.

"Unless of course you'd just prefer a blaster bolt to the face. You know use PTSD types, so ceerrraazy." He wished he could have a cigar right now, that was the only thing he felt his armor was missing, a way to smoke a good cigar while keeping his helmet on. He wasn't particularly worried about the authorities. No one had seen his face yet, and he could just come back sans armor and talk to more sane people.

Nuné stood and fumbled a few fragments of droid spare parts in her hands, feigning some technical mastery and inspection that she obviously didn't possess. But no one else had to know that. She tugged her dirty poncho a little, and continued her pretend scouring of the broken and disjointed mechanical debris, as if searching for some particular model or some specific part.
All the while, she was mostly ignored, which was an excellent thing. She hadn't realised her prowess as an actor until she had been thrust into the throng of Kuat. Over the weeks she had honed her new personality and shifted completely into it as some natural second cognition.
She watched the whole while, as some potential altercation brewed between the 'clientele' that surrounded her at the bazaar. She had briefly seen the Chiss woman, she had taken all their different faces in with one glance. But her questioning was deeper than mere black and white accusations. Why would a Chiss be so reckless as to walk about openly undisguised at first? Carelessness? Nuné thought not. The Chiss were much more capable infiltrators than that. The Chiss practically designed covert operations and intelligence agents. There was something much more to this story.

And with that inclination in her thought process, she promptly kicked over a table, sending droid parts and mini-engines and cogs and flywheels crashing down in one dramatic thud for attention. Hopefully it would buy the Chiss woman some time, if anything. "Ohh...sacred bantha testicles....I'm terribly sorry...agh...such a nightmare, honestly...", she scrambled to collect the fallen clutter in an erratic few sweeps.
Nuné could not really know why she wanted to help the alien woman, but she would surely find out soon enough.

...all the while, Nuné in her slip of what she thought would be an amazing distraction, was completely wasted. She had taken her eyes off the figures and they had apparently moved inside the ship. "Gah, absolute **** spit."
She quickly devised a new plan and moved to the ship's doorway. "Umm...hello? I er...accidentally toppled over a whole table of your wares...I don't think anything is broken but...hello?"

Seeing as the entire galaxy has decided to commune into one ship, Vel'ku followed behind the woman who had kicked droid parts around.

Vel'ku had heard most of what had been said and could have laughed at the Chriss for such a juvinal mistake. But, it happens none the less. Vel'ku quickly observed the scene and it was well beyond amusing to her.
But the word "malfunction" made her go from a curious Falleen, to excited very quickly.

"Not to. . . Bust in, but, what's malfunctioning? I can fix it." Vel'ku stated bluntly and almost more emotionless then intended. She really needed to work on that. She knew there was little chance of her getting far if she acted like nobody and nothing mattered.

She was in trouble now. Inside her mind, she decided to say a little prayer. Would have been nice to see her family again, but oh well. She sighed.

"Lower your gun. I don't want to take my helmet off in case the culprit is still here. If I'm seen, I could be followed and hunted down. It's the same reason I'm not asking you to take your armor off, even though you could be just as suspicious with random claims of seeing a Chiss."

Before she could blabber anymore, an obnoxious amount of noise erupted from outside the ship. She quickly glanced over at the Mandalorian.

"While you're pointing that at me, the jackass we're all trying to find is getting away!"

Without a second glance, she darted towards the exit of the ship, hoping the Mandalorian was just as surprised by the noise. She skidded to a halt just as the Imperial Knight woman appeared. The Chiss put two and two together...actually, she just went out on a limb and hoped for the best. As the Knight began to explain what happened, she quickly put a finger up to her lips to silence her before the Mandalorian and Cloaked man could see. It was a small gesture and she hoped the Knight would pick up on it. The Chiss cleared her throat and projected her voice loudly at the woman.

"What's that? You say you saw a Chiss do that?! By gods, I think you may have been right after all.."

She looked over at the Mandalorian, mock concern in her voice.

((Been having some writer's block this thread. Hopefully that'll go away when I can stop conning and stick true to my character's true self.))

Casval was tempted to point out that it was possible to own more than one ships - especially on Kuat where it seems virtually everyone is a rich bastard - but he quickly thought better of it with all of the hostilities flying around. Most of his equipment was in his TIE Defender - safely hidden away - and so he was left without much fire power to work with. With a Chiss and a Mandalorian about to butt heads, which would of course draw the attention of security, he didn't want to stir any more trouble.

And then the other half of the galaxy appeared. From nowhere two other people wandered on up. Hopefully neither one of them was the owner. After a few heartbeats of no one demanding an explanation of why so many people were at their ship, the former Knight swiftly concluded that they were random observers too curious to mind their own business. Damn it.

Hearing the sudden noise he quickly darted his eyes to the source. At that moment the mysterious soldier - who was painfully obviously the Chiss as she refused to take off her helmet - tried to move to the exit. Did she really expect to be able to move past the two of them?

Silently swearing to himself, the Imperial could feel his temper rising. Nothing could be simple. NOTHING! It was far too much to ask for to be able to con one person. Now everyone and her mother was flocking to the scene. And to make matters worse all the noise and the mention of a Chiss woman somewhere around here was drawing some very unneeded attention from the surrounding crowds.

"Well wherever that Chiss woman has gone to, it's very unlikely that she's going to be able to hide for very much longer with all of these people gathering around here." Smiling, he kept his eyes peeled to the mysterious person trying ever so hard to flee the ship.

As the armor clad individual he believed to be the chiss woman rushed passed he followed to figure out what caused the noise. He knew it came from outside but the distraction was enough to let her get passed him and almost out of the way. Then they stopped, two others coming up the ramp. He watched as they talked and she mentioned something about a chiss knocking over the table, despite the fact the woman had yelled into the ship she had accidentally knocked over some things.

"Alright...well if the Chiss is out we'll need to file a report. Come on then, I'll give you the details of what I saw..." He said grabbing her by the arm and practically hauling her into the galley of the ship some ways down the hall, before slamming the door shut and hitting the lock mechanism, gun still in hand.

"So now that the chiss is out there, I'm sure there's no problem with you removing your helmet to better hear what I've got to say." He said motioning with the blaster to take the helmet off. "No cavity searches though sugar, promise."

"Hey what the hell are-!"

She was about to draw her own weapons, when she noted he already had one pointed at her again. Now she was cornered. There was no way out. She looked left, right, above, below. Nope, nothing. She sighed and looked down. From the sounds of it, he didn't sound like your typical shoot first, ask questions later Mando. She paused for a long moment.

"Can't we discuss-"

She could feel him glaring at her through the helmet. She finally reached up and pulled her helmet off. Black hair pooled down to her shoulders. Her skin was almost all black from the soot and mess, but there was an unmistakable tint of blue underneath. Her red eyes were narrowed to slits as she looked at him.

"I'm running away, okay?! Shoot me if you must, but it won't score you any points. I hate the Ascendancy. I hightailed it out of there to get away from it."

She crossed her arms over her chest, scowling. For a moment, she considered screaming as if she were being assaulted, but with a sinking feeling she realized no one would really come to her rescue.

"Well?"

He paused, this wasn't what he was expecting. Not in the slightest...She was obviously on her own, and she wasn't an intelligence operative. In the brief time he was here, there was nothing special about this ship.

"Why do you hate the Acendency?" He asked, lowering his blaster, but not holstering it. In mandalorian culture each individual was capable of honor, be they enemy or not. And an individual doesn't speak for the entirety of their race, there were after all human Sith, and he was nothing like them...Man how he wanted a cigar...

She scowled at him, but not because he made her angry. She was angry because thoughts of her family came flooding back to her. She absentmindedly wiped some blood off from the interior of the helmet, pondering over the question.

"I want to be on my own. I don't want to be a part of an empire, an Ascendancy or what have you. I want to be free. I felt shackled when I was back on Csilla, bound by my role within the families. It simply wasn't for me. I suppose.. I brought dishonor to my family by running away. I don't think I can go back anyway."

She was curious about why he hadn't shot her yet, but decided not to push her luck. She put her helmet back on, glad to not have it be completely bloody this time.

"It's been a pain in the ass so far. Not much freedom when you can be shot dead just because of how you look."
