Purpose:

  • Defensible and fast transport for high priority delegates, trustees, noblepersons, and statespersons.
Description:

  • The Shrike Class Corvette was pioneered by the Corellian Engineering Corporation in an effort to combine fast speeds with quick mission-oriented adaptability. The experimental Hecta-X Compound Ion Engine combines the technology of the TIE system reducing the individual Ion engine size but multiplying the propulsion quantity, allowing for optimal power source usage and speed. In an effort to create a vehicle that can cater to formidable needs of multiple mission parameters while still offering luxury and presidential accommodations.
  • It is to be designed as a small-to-mid-sized corvette with capable speeds, comparable shielding, and comparable firepower. Faster than average and its modular role make it an asset to any fleet.
  • After the specs were stolen from the CEC, the Morellian Weapons Conglomerate performed a few hull upgrades and installed two Mass-Driver cannons to replace two forward mounted turbolaser batteries. Making it a more formidable combat asset and less of an escort ship.
  • Morellian Weapons Conglomerate innovated a reactive hull plating where upon damage microprocessors and nano-technology infused in the metal detect a breach in the hull, superconduct the surrounding alloys to patch the breach. While subsequent shots to the same area would render the plating useless, it serves as a faster form of maintaining pressure lock.
(ooc. First tech post, be gentle. Honestly I just took the blockade runner, made a fancy engine name, gave it more/less the same specs and a little bit of a speed boost.)

I have to say, for your first write-up, this is quite nice. Clean up the formatting a bit IMHO, and maybe divulge on the capability of the weapons. What kind of turbolasers are they?

Could you expand on the "advanced reactive hull-plating"? In what way is it reactive, and what principles does it follow to reduce damage? In what way does it improve survivability, and by how much? In what way is it advanced compared to other reactive armours?

Weapons seem a tad on the numerous side. You could reduce the turbolasers by a couple since you've got a big ol' mass driver. I don't really mind if you don't though. That being said, I'll approve this once the Indie faction is approved, so remind me when that happens.
