Ironwind Landspeeder
Ownership: N/A
Intent: Free use, possible Rebel use.
Model: Stiel Industries Ironwind Landspeeder.
Color: No, it doesn't have to be bright blue.
Size: 2 meters wide by 4 meters long by 1.5 meters tall.
Weight: About 1000kg
Capacity: 4 comfortably, up to 6 human sized creatures in a pinch.
Armor Rating: For a speeder, the Ironwind is heavily armored, it's thick durasteel plating able to shrug off repeated small arms fire. This protection does not extend to the crew however, who are fairly exposed, especially from the side. Dedicated anti-tank weapons have no issue destroying the speeder, with even glancing hits causing massive damage.
Propulsion: Repulsorlift
Equipment: The Ironwind is armed with a mounted heavy weapon, controlled by a passenger seated next to the driver. Three concussion missiles are mounted under the fuselage, controlled by the pilot. The speeder is also equipped with a standard sensor and communications array, smoke launchers, and chaff launchers.
Heavy weapon options: Blaster cannon, heavy repeating blaster, linked light repeating blasters, grenade launcher, high pressure flame thrower, or missile pod.
Description: The Ironwind was designed to be a cheap method of bring mobile heavy weapons to the battlefront, while also serving a minor role as a troop transport. To reduce costs, no shields were added, instead the defense of the speeder was supplemented with thicker durasteel plating. Although rarely used in it's intended battlefield role, the speeder has found some success in small mercenary groups without the funding, need, or availability of a full tank.
