Devani thought on those words for a second, then she unclipped her ligtsaber and held in her open palms. She concentrated on pushing the lightsaber up and away from her. Almost at once the lightsaber was high in the air. Moving her arm she forced her lightsaber almost against the wall, but just as it was about to his she reached throught the force and brought it back to her. This was something practiced when she had first learned to controll the force in this way. The lightsaber returned to her hand softly and she held it in her open palm smiling. Even though she could do so there was a drop of sweat on her forehead.

 

[Solus]

:: Very good control, precision. I should expect as much from someone as technologically inclined. Tell me, what facet of Jedi lore are you most interested in? I mean, what 'job' do you want to have when you're knighted? I don't want to train you as a historian if you want to heal, if you know what I mean. ::

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

" Understand, I want to work towards peace ad the defence of others. A councilar has been what I am expected to be. But... I think that I should find what I am as a I go along." She knew exacly what she was saying and her face lit up like a lantern. She had been prepared for the question and now felt she had done something well.

 

[Solus]

At her student's amusement, she smiled. :: I think you have a natural affinity for that kind of thing. You have precision and you're good with mechanical stuff. You could be a healer, but that's your choice. I think you'll do well. Now, I want to see how could connect with the Force, the lightsaber thing was difficult for me to read correctly. Here, :: she said, picking up a volume she had found on one of the far tables. :: You use the Force to push it towards me, and I'll use the Force just hard enough to counteract it. We'll be in deadlock, okay? And I'll see what I can find. If you feel like you want to stop, do not, do not, hesitate to stop me. I do not want to harm you. Now, :: she said, throwing the book into the air as she began to gently push it in Devani's direction, waiting for her reaction.
