So how far back does the site canon go? I can only find info on the Vong era forwards. And i'm trying to find info from an earlier time, specifically the rebellion era. Is that assumed that it's canon in the same way that the movies and books are Ie. Can it be assumed that there were death stars, luke and leia, and so on?

Site canon basically extends from 13,000BBY to the present, which is 1,011ish ABY. Most all material between those two points should be considered canon, so long as it's considered canon by the SW universe itself. [ie; the movies and novels are canon, etc etc.]

If you have any questions about a specific piece of history, feel free to ask any staff member. We'd be glad to help you sort things out.

And if you need any help with in-site canon information for this timeline, here's a little recap...

SWRP is in its Fifth Timeline, taking place in 1,011 ABY (now 1,012 ABY); the timeline has been dubbed Legacies. Please check out the official information thread for the pre-timeline information found here.

Nine years after the Purge, tensions have grown between the Galactic Alliance (which OOCly has merged with the New Jedi Order) and the Sith Empire (now the New Sith Imperium). Both sides have attempted to solidify alliances, and even gaining new allies, such as the GA allying with the Kushari Federation and Systems Commonwealth while the Sith solidify their alliance with the Chiss Ascendency.

Though a couple skirmishes took place on Yinchorr, Tanaab, and Lehon, plus the genocide on Muunilinst, the threat of war didn't escalate until Jedi-turned-Sith Aÿisha Remy helped destroy the Jedi's flagship Will of the Force and infiltrate the Imperial Knights, resulting in the destruction of the Imperial Knights' headquarters and hideout, along with bombing the Jedi temple on Coruscant, killing three Jedi Councilors and the Imperial Knights' Knight-Commander, Bellatrix La Rouge.

These attacks resulted in the Galactic Alliance declaring war on the Sith, with the Sith declaring war on the Galactic Alliance in response. Aided by the Chiss Ascendency the Sith assaulted Tirahn, Berchest, Salecaumi, and Sarka.

With the Galactic Alliance and Jedi reforming in the wake of disorganization, the Sith forced the Mandalorians out of their territory. An alliance was forged with the Galactic Alliance and an alliance with the Systems Commonwealth. Corden Vencu would secure a ceasefire with the Chiss. However, it too suffers leadership issues.

In the wake of the campaign against them, including propaganda, the Imperial Knights attempted to restructure itself. However, its attempt to gain allies and hide proved useless when traitor Lamia Kressh revealed the location of two two bases. Combined with intel gathered by Geist Weiss and ADIM Kadmon, Operation Twilight annihilated the forces at Cyrillia, sunk Excalibur, and captured the Imperial Knights at Seoul V.

Eventually, the Mandalorians split into a Second Mandalorian Civil War between the separatists' Corden Vencu and Apollo Ordo vs. the loyalists.
