Slavery on Corellia?

Hi. Now then, I understand that Corellia is a Republic world, so slavery is illegal, right?

1) Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions as to a believable physical labour job that a 14 year old boy could have been doing on Corellia, along with other slaves, with nobody noticing it as unusual?

The character was originally going to work down mines, but I can't imagine that going unnoticed on Corellia.. So he will likely be transferred to Corellia to do something else.

He's not that strong, but good at healing. But he would also be part of a group of slaves, who are rescued when someone reports it to the authorities. 2 of the local police are undercover Jedi Sentinels.
(The planet is vital to the plot, as that is where he'll be rescued by our group of Jedi that are on Corellia, you see.)

Here is the profile:

2) If this is publically noticed, as in some Jedi helping police bust a dangerous well armed slavery ring, does that have to be approved as a Plot?
(There would be media attention, wouldn't there?)

3) Under what kind of conditions would it not have to be approved as a plot? If its secretly done at night maybe?
(Although media attention may be part of the plan, good PR for the Jedi)

Sorry, I am new to all this. Any help or suggestions very much welcome. :)

Tagging the following, in case they need to see this.

@Eolhcmonkey @jamessour @Kyo'kou @Shax

Thanks.

I don't understand the plot system yet, how can we tell what is important enough to be a plot?

(Let me explain.. Let's say that the larger goal is to start a Jedi training temple type of place. Media talking positively about the Jedi could help towards that goal. But I feel as though something that big would affect the larger plot of the site. So if we were to start working towards that goal in a way, would all of our characters have to have been approved?)

So I may need an answer from you on questions 2 and 3 regarding plots.

Thank you. :)

If I remember rightly, @GABA Ren said the temple on Corellia had to be a plot. But does that mean that anything that could be building up to it would require a plot to have been submitted?
Hopefully that makes sense..

I'll shut up now. ;)

Drugs, have a lab that is essentially a sweatshop staffed by kids and run by uncouth criminals.

We could say the only reason the cops haven’t moved in was a lack of evidence, so some Jedi could come to me looking to buddy up with law enforcement and I could point you in the labs direction.

@Eolhcmonkey

What do you think?
It's your character.

Seeing as nobody has said we have to submit this as a plot, and everybody except @Kyo'kou has responded in pm or here, we are probably good to go.

@Esther Nyx
Do you want to bring your character in?
What part do you see her playing?

Relax my good buddy, we won’t get a response immediately and this thread has only been up for a couple of hours and the admins are busy people so they can’t respond to every question immediately. So before we go jumping the gun on some threads, let’s give it some time so someone can answer our questions. @MattBloggs

@MattBloggs, I highly recommend you give the Plot System Rules a thorough read. The first handful of sentences should answer some of your questions. Plots are more about story and character impact- media presence has nothing to do with anything, nor does whether or not something is done in secret. If you're going to do a multi thread arc of anything, I recommend you submit it as a plot. Give the rules a good read and come back with more specific questions if you have them.

As a side note. Please do not continue double and triple posting, especially when you have different questions in each post. Doing so is considered spam. You can click the "edit" button at the bottom of your posts to add new questions if you haven't gotten a response. Additionally, I wouldn't assume to much. You shouldn't expect an admin response here within a short few hours, especially if none of us have been tagged. Be patient. Thanks!

Thank you, I appreciate that advice.
I have tagged Gaba, but I know what you are saying.

How long should I wait? I tend to assume no response means people don't want to talk to me, or its a dumb question. Anyway. Thanks. :)

Oh, and sorry.

It's a little unreasonable to expect any sort of response within a few hours, unless it's an important time sensitive matter, in which case you should be using the report function. I'd give it a day or two to give both members and admins a chance to see things.

Thank you. It was a genuine question. I have no idea, I don't rp on boards so I didn't know how long to wait. Thanks again. :)
