Snowpocolypse!

It's that time of there year where one country...No not Canada, or America or Norway but Britain struggles against the elements.

We have had.......*dramatic pause*

4 inches of snow! 4 ****ing inches and this shitty country has ground to a bloody halt. I was delayed on the train today in a journey that jumped from 10 mins to 45.....

Some people get embarrassed about how terribly we handle even slightly different weather, but personally I find it hilarious.

Any interesting snow stories from places where it falls properly?

One meter of snow in northern-central Sweden. Stockholm's bus and metro traffic has gone down the train, flight traffic is messed up, and as with every winter, there's not a train in the entire country that goes according to its schedule.

I find it sad. We're an arctic country. We're supposed to be able to handle winter, and we've had like, two hundred years of getting our trains used to the Swedish winter. But we still can't make it work properly. Bah. :CFuu


Edit to add: Right now it's -4C here in southern Sweden. Tomorrow it might go so far up as -18C.

Haha 4 inches (10cm) in my town today as well. Bor in Serbia if anyone wondered. Started snowing last night around 2am and hasn't stopped since. I personally don't like the snow because it slows traffic down... However considering how bad things do tend to get here everyone on fb and I meet is like, meh, not that big of a deal.

As far as interesting snow stories go I can't say I have any I can think of right now. We once made a 2m tall snowman in high school with a huge d*ck. Is that interesting to anyone? People just started getting their picture taken with the snowman and some actually grabbed the balls. xD

I just moved to the north from New Orleans. It has been the SECOND TIME I have seen snow in my life! I drove i it and everything. :D

I was the one jerk at work who was overly excited about the snow. I kept singing this song:

Money as always. The estimated cost to winterise us is 3 billion with a running cost every year. I understood why a few years ago but it's just getting stupid now.

Because they believe it to be a fluke, then summer comes, they forget and think it won't happen again. Southern Norway is sadly the same.

We have had some snow, but none right now. But generally each winter, we get five FEET of snow on the ground at once. Imagine your country dealing with THAT Matt!

Its been too warm to snow here, had some crazy slasher film fog lately, but otherwise its Nebraska being the suckthesuck on winter weather.
