Space Fight Against The Dark Cloud

I need about two other people for the first scene in my series. There is going to be an epic space fight with a group of starfighters while they attack us in our awesome Dynamic Freighter. I hope Jiang can be there to be the co-pilot with one of his jedi. Those two people will be manning the turrets. The two people will be there for the whole episode, leaving after the fight when the ship docks, or will just be two npcs. Anyone want to fight with me against a giant group of starfighters?

THE STORM APPROACHES​

It is a period of civil war. THE GALACTIC REPUBLIC fights fiercely against the tyrannical HUTT EMPIRE. The battles between them have been many, and both sides are not relenting. Lives have been lost, from the republic, Jedi, and Hutt alike.

The battles have been affecting a great deal of people. Civilians have been suffering due to the large collateral damage of the battles. The war for the galaxy is endangering the lives of many, and those who can help, are doing nothing.

Pursued by the mysterious force known as THE DARK CLOUD, a smuggler by the name of Lumen Sorus has stolen a great deal of supplies from them. He is using his prized ship to give supplies to those who need it the most, while try to stay alive himself....​

We're having a time skip really soon. We are moving everything ahead four years. So I advise that you don't start any cool new RP threads until after the time skip.

Like JP said, the RP is skipping ahead by four years. That skip will happen in eleven days, on Sunday 17th April.

So you might want to hold off on your grand plot ideas till then, especially if you want to get a lot of people involved, as big threads tend to move relatively slowly in the RP.

I am interested in this, but I was under the impression from reading this thread that you were gonna hold off till the time skip, Jedi Hero.
Yet I noticed that you just made a closed RP thread on the story board. Are you starting it now?

Oh, I'm actually making that the new episode I this one will be episode II now. The first one will be mostly me alone for the character development I need. It is also necessary for the plot devices I need to set-up.

It will actually be a pretty solid star wars role play, and you will really like the similarities it will have to the original trilogy. I fit them in to where it isn't like I'm just doing them to look cool. You'll be like, "Okay, that actually really fits well."

I look forward to it, just don't be surprised if it doesn't end up as you planned. This is RP, not novel writing. People can be unpredictable.

Which is why I plan on just closing the topic as soon as I let Jiang join or who I invite, because truly derailment is not cool.

I didn't mean derailment, I meant that even those that are invited to join aren't controllable. If you want to write a story about your character, then do that. But as soon as you add more people it doesn't become just YOUR story, it becomes theirs as well and that means that even your favorite plans wont necessarily hold together.

It's called plot derailment when a person enters in and drastically modifies the story. I'm not talking about the small stuff, I'm talking about coming in and fighting for no reason.

I understand what you mean, and if it is a closed or invite only thread, then that is unlikely.

What I mean, is that its best to have a basic outline of where you want to go and try to get there, but not be too worried if it ends up going in a different direction then what you intended.

I don't want people who come in and basically change the direction. If people would actually do that, then they don't need to join my topics at all. I don't want them. What I want is someone who will follow the plot and not try to shift it. If they want a different direction, they should make their own topic.

Calm down, buddy. I am just advising you to be prepared for variations in your story. This is RP, you are sharing stories with other writers. Saying that you want drones to follow what you dictate is like telling an artist to paint your way and your way only... Its just not going to end up well.

I meant that if the end point remains the same, fine a change would be okay. However, a complete change of what I had actually had in mind because one guy wanted to be the center of the topic is not cool. Those kind of people need to just make their own topic. You don't have to follow what I say to the letter, I just don't want anyone going right over any plot I had for some other bs that makes no sense or has no point besides derailment.
