Eli dismissed himself after everyone had gone about their business. It was a small matter going back to the ship and prepping it for their journey tomorrow. The Morellian gave orders to his crew to give her a complete systems and functions check. Torie, Beata, and Dan all went about the cabin, engine room and cargo storage checking seals and electronic systems. Eli retreated into his cabin and went to his small personal armory there. He casually glanced at the small viewscreen located opposite his bed as it scanned back and forth around the perimeter of the ship. It casually panned across the Kushari practicing with his lightsaber. Eli smiled a cocky, wry smile and looked up at his songsteel cavalry saber. Knowing he would not pose an overwhelming threat to the feline, he still valued the chance to challenge himself and thought, "the worst he could say is, no." Perhaps Eli might even gain the Jedi's respect. Moreover he may even win if he kept his wits about him and used his cunning to its utmost. Eli took his saber down, affixed it to his waist, tightened his boots and strapped a vibroweave cape into his epaulettes. The caped draped beautifully over his off-shoulder.

The Captain strolled down the boarding ramp of Susannah and casually strolled up to the Kushari. he kneeled down enough meters away that he would not interrupt his meditation unless the Jedi wanted him to, bringing the hilt of his sabre across his belt and lowered his head and began meditating himself. The Kushari had of course noticed him but he let Eli remain in silence for a long while, probably testing his discipline. Eli didn't waver and calmed his nerves. Meditation wasn't a practice Eli was alien to. Finally the Kushari acknowledged Eli without acknowledging him. Eli stood and bowed without words and drew his sword saluting the Jedi.

OOC: I had completely forgotten about this. I bookmark them normally. Bookmarking now! @ItsUhTrap42

IC: Kade noted the approaching human who seemed to dislike Jedi or at least Force Users in general and grinned slightly as he rolled his shoulders. The Kushari was sporting only half of his IAR79 body armour with the heavy gauntlets still on. He had his second saber hidden in a quick release compartment in his right one though, spotting it would be difficult to say the least if you knew what to look for. Kade had on covering his chest a simple black shirt, the intimidating bulk of the furball was considerable through the sleeveless undershirt. He had a calm expression on his face and took up a stance, his greatsaber held up horizontally above his head pointing off to the side, body in a half twist facing Eli with his non-dominant hand swept across and down. His expression was calm, really calm and neutral towards Eli.

"Think you can match my speed and strength with this?" He asked as he dialed the lightsaber down to a more appropriate stun setting rather than sever limbs mode. He would focus his eyes on Eli now, the pupils wide and his body unwavering. "This form is fast, rapid and will not relent in strength." He'd smile a bit before adopting that neutral expression once more. He was tapping into his darker emotions and had become half of a super-conducting conduit that existed between them. Kade's own inner darkness being turned into something more, used for something more and if Eli had any Darkness within, he'd be able to draw on that to fuel his own power in what could be best described as a circuit. Naturally this was specific to the Vaapad form and not exactly something you could feel without strong Force Sensory abilities.

Eli brought his hand up in front of his chest and raising his sword hand to a classic guard between himself and Kade. The Morellian was a world-champion fencer on his university's circuit. He maneuvered the songsteel saber side to side warming his wrist and allowed himself to calm at the sound it made as it moved.

"Speed and Strength can be matched by other means. Finesse and technique being two of them."

Eli had never faced a Jedi before. He was less scared and more curious. He would undoubtedly in his journeys be forced to stare down a Sith and had almost come to blows with Jedi before. Soon he would have to actually fight one. He just so happened to pick probably the largest one to learn on. A better fencer than pistolier, Eli would give this Jedi a run for his money. Eli was a superb marksman. The Captain went to the place true warriors go when they lose all natural senses for sake of that sixth sense that combines them all. His awareness soaking in aspects of his surroundings that would otherwise go unnoticed and tightened his grip on his saber.

"At your leisure, Sir."

Kade grinned as he began an opening sequence with his weapon, swinging the blade around his body at incredible speed creating a literal wall of Viridian energy. How many lightsabers do you see? Would be a good question to ask, he was moving fast enough with the force flowing through him enhancing his speed and strength and it would look like hundreds of them were being used at once. Course Kade had set this as a diversion to potentially confuse the man before him as he used the Greatsabers incredible reach to his advantage. He'd step forward slightly with the blade finally coming down from his two O'clock down towards the 8. Full force strike coming down at high speed towards Elijah!

Eli remained unmoved as the huge, arcing energy beam whirred around the beast. The man slowed his heart-rate and his breathing, watching the cats shoulder instead of the distracting swirls of mesmerizing light. Eli was no stranger to swordplay and he would not be bested or show his skills in the initial tests the two were inevitably going to submit each other to. He timed it brilliantly, not moving any more than necessary and refusing to bring his other hand to the handle...not yet. With precision, the Morellian stepped slightly to the right and turned his body to profile and checked the lightsaber with the flat of his blade, encouraging it on its current trajectory and with a subtle, slight motion flicked his wrist forward at the Jedi's weapon-forearm in a short, straight down tap; an effort to infer that even if the Captain were successful in the maneuver, he would choose a non-lethal target. The same technique, on an enemy, would be aimed at the shoulder, face or upper arm. Regardless of the outcome, Eli's intention was to flick the wrist, bring his weapon back to guard, disengage and retreat to an assessable distance.

Kade's lightsaber had thankfully a small crossguard that protected against someone trying a trick down the blade. Maybe once or twice at most before it was damaged or they skipped over it mind you but it was there. Bit more like a speed bump than anything else, if he could reach down the Ninety Centimetre blade to the hilt. It was a huge weapon and the leverage to the kushari it granted was considerable. He would step through rather quickly with a follow up, up-swing into the Morellian's profile as he had side stepped before. The Kushari was using his speed and reach as an advantage in this. However as he would perform the follow up strike the blade would instantly deactivate and then reactivate behind the man, to come down from behind at a higher angle. Something a bit different in an array of unpredictable movements.

Eli hadn't expected the flick to do much damage but when he saw the Jedi break his wrist, change angle and the saber coming up at him he hadn't the speed to react properly to the return. Kriffing space-wizards. The expert fencer was used to this sort of change of direction but he was not prepared for the speed. Instinctively his body took over and his skills disappeared momentarily. His primal reaction laid his body backwards and fell hard to the floor straight down and on his back. He broke his fall with a slap from his other hand. Something that his fencing and martial arts instructors had drilled into him religiously. The would say, "you're going to fall down many times for the rest of your life, why not be good at it." When Eli's eyes opened from the brief moment they had closed when he hit the ground the lightsaber was deactivated. "He's crafty" Eli thought to himself as the blade reactivated and was coming down hard towards him, the fact that he was on the ground was irrelevant due to the size of the aggressing blade. He did not want to be there when that blade came down, the weight of the kushari, his strength and speed and the momentum would be devastating. Even if he had the ability to bring his weapon to block his own saber would be pushed hard into him and likely leave him unconscious if the back of his blade struck his face or head. In a desperate move Eli kicked out hard at the kushari's ankles in an attempt to throw his balance off enough to redirect the falling blade while bringing his saber to block anyway, just in case, he'd rather run the risk of a broken nose or a concussion than be halved by a lightsaber. Eli thought after the kick to the ankles, "I must remember to apologize for the power I put in that kick. I need to remember I'm sparring."

The kick to the ankles would be met with a loud CLANK and the Kushari stumbling back as the blade would flick upwards. Thankfully if it was to come in to connect Eli, it would not bisect him. That would not be fun at all. He'd grin at Eli and let him recover though, his blade flicking about as Kade took up the stance once more. The blade held up in a single handed high guard stance with the blade pointing away from him, his body in a half twist and his other hand swept down infront of him. "Come on Eli. You're up." He'd grin toothily. He was really getting into it, every movement and moment that he was making were coloured by the thrill of the fight and the want to win. His ankle hurt, though the armour did take a good bit of the force to the kick. Silly human and his midget feet getting into places between plates to make something hurt. He was thankful it wasn't the shin though. THAT would hurt.

Eli stood up without urgency, using his hand to brace him and placing the tip of his blade in the ground. He patted off the dust from the ground from his clothes and smacked the flat of his blade on his boot to rid it of the dirt from where he pressed it into the earth. The Morellian let out a small smile and assumed his fighting posture again. The Kushari had assumed a stance not unlike a traditional stance of Niman but Eli knew it would be a feint. However, a high guard implied that the next strike naturally had to be at a downward angle. Eli knew Kade knew this and had planned on Eli knowing this. The Captain advanced slowly until he was just outside the kill-zone, never crossing his legs. With expert speed, Eli quickly feinted high, swept low and brought his blade in tight to his body, turning his profile to a bare minimum of Kade's available strike angle, stepped off the center line and put forth a thrust to his outside angle, the side that was home to his "Hand swept down" in an attempt to strike true to the Jedi's unprotected flank. If Kade were to respond, he would have to address the sweeping strike with a dodge or a block and bring his large weapon (hopefully clumsily) to bear on his unprotected side.

Niman would be an interesting observation, however the way Kade focused himself and the force within his body it was something far more aggressive than that. His left hand swept down infront of him with the single handed high guard still held. He watched as Eli came for him, it was slow, methodical and carried some intent behind it. Of course with Vaapad he had to keep the force focused on himself, his perceptions of time being being slowed by the use of speed allowed him a decisive advantage over the Morellian, as the man feinted high Kade would quickly bunny hop backwards, working his footwork some to get out of range of that rather flexible saber. The thrust on the other hand would score a cut on his side, not a deep one but enough to potentially draw blood. (Not sure if it was sharp or not xD Correct me if I am wrong!)

Kade would grin though as the pain stung and a bit of blood would seep into the fur, it wasn't a severe cut at all if anything a bare knick. "Quick. Fast. I like that Elijah. You have a fencers agility about you!" He would twirl the blade a bit now and step forward, blade up and over head with both hands and brought down towards Eli as if to cleave him in twain. A move he'd been witness to and having had used on him before. Falling leaf if his mind was right. There was power in the strike and from that alone he could continue striking at Eli with a staccato of random attacks. All of which sporting some measure of speed behind them a bit beyond what he was physically capable of thanks to the Force.
