With the recent escalation of the war against the Sith, the Jedi high command has determined that it is necessary to gather their hitherto disparate and divided intelligence operatives under one central command, the Special Activities Division (SAD), so that they can better coordinate and concentrate their efforts on achieving the army’s overarching goals, and have a response ready to the Sith’s own SIN (Sith Intelligence Network). The organization, headquartered in an undisclosed location on the remote and largely ignored world of D’Qar to ensure its continued operation in the event of an attack or bombing on Dantooine itself, will conduct various missions of targeted removal of dangerous targets, regime change, infiltration, intelligence gathering and analysis, counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and other covert operations in support of the Army’s campaigns. How this new division and its operatives act and conduct themselves, if they will uphold the Light even as they wade through the shadows or fall into darkness like most of their notorious predecessors of Team Shadowstrike remains to be seen.

Hi there everyone! I’ve decided to make a division of the Jedi Army that focuses mostly on stealth, covert action (diplomats, you can find work here too!), and deception for those characters who specialize in such over open combat skills, those, who want to make significant contributions to the Army’s current priority operations but don’t necessarily have the desire or time to PvP or just people who want more sneaky missions (though you will not be restricted from PvP at all, and we may have some special events against SIN for stealthy characters). Furthermore, you’ll be able to actually influence the direction of the group and how it is perceived by others through your actions on your missions-all mission packs will be designed in such a way that they can be completed that you can finish them without killing a single person and remain completely hidden if one so desires, through wanton, excess destruction and death, or anywhere in between-all of this will be reviewed to see whether or not the other members of the Army respect and admire, or fear and dislike, SAD. In addition, each and every operative will have a little case file that will have notes about their character-for example, if your character successfully completes a certain amount of missions by stealing critical information, he or she will be noted as an accomplished thief (and there will be a list of these notes you can aim for!).

All missions and objectives of the SAD will play into the current, larger plot of the Jedi Army, either by setting up main battles, or seizing high value worlds and targets, and each successfully completed pack will result in more assets being assigned to the SAD (which can actually be used in your missions! Want to lead a paramilitary commando team? No problem!). There will also be opportunities to interact and assist allied Jedi factions, as well as social events, as well as an effort made to foster a sense of community-Padawans can join looking for a master who has a large chance of not actually dying! Overall, I think this will be a fun thing to experiment with. In short, who's interested?

That's totally fine! Might allow contractors of sorts to do some of the work :D, and you can even get your own case file!

Mhmm! There is plenty of room for politically minded characters to accomplish objectives given S.A.D.'s mandate, missions will be written in such a way that you'll have the flexibility to choose that approach if you wish! And if your partner is of the more...direct...type, you can practice those negotiation skills! :D
