Spoils of Sound Politics and Industrial Espionage: A Rebel Mission

Hello ladies and gents. Here is the OOC forum for our plot points and things we would like our characters to accomplish in the thread.

Things I would like to accomplish. I want the Empire to figure out the leak just as we're getting prepped on one of the brother planets. Rebels should meet on Talus or Tralus methinks to discuss the plan.

i would like to see it end up as a trap that we can struggle through and try and spin it as positively as possible for the rebellion. Gaining the corvette but failing in foreign policy on Corellia for the time being and have to be something we repair later.

So, as the lone Imperial here, I'll be waiting for you guys to show up, basically, aboard the corvette? Sounds good.

But now that I think about it, since it will be aboard a ship, it would probably be better for me to use my Imperial Navy character instead of the stormtrooper. Or which do you think would best?

Not that I am an expert, but wouldn't an Imperial navy character know more about the mission than a trooper? Though both perspectives would be interesting!

Just to clarify, we're stealing the plans for the corvette. Not the corvette itself. Likewise though, I don't see a reason why we couldn't have both. Too, if you have any imp buddies, get em in here, the more challenge the better. I think the navy personnel would make more sense as perhaps CEC needs him to okay the production after he reviews the specs or whatever and stumbles on the leak maybe?

Moreover, would you all rather meet and plan out the mission IC or OOC here. We could always sit around a cup of caf in the actual mission thread and discuss how we want to do it. Likewise, we could get an idea of the points of the mission and streamline the planning process OOC.

• Individually sneak into Imp space
• Get to Tralus, i'll have borrowed my Darknell contact's lake cottage in the forest as a meeting point.
• Plan mission
• Acquire necessary hardware, connections, transports.
• Sneak onto Corellia - either via one of our ships (I have a VCX-820, lots of guns and stuffs) or public transport (would make escape that much harder)
• Sneak into Coronet City
• Sneak into CEC HQ
• Hack and erase plans from database (someone who can slice relatively well, or we can capture someone who already knows the codes)
• Escape

At some point I will have received word that my Darknell contact has been identified and the leak divulged to the imps and relayed to CorSec, CEC, and the Imps at which point security should go into lockdown and fodder will hit the turbine.

Please let me know if you have any ideas regarding this layout and if you think anything should be changed or improved. I'll have the thread started by midday today and we can start the planning process IC whether we outline it here or not.

What would this "leak" be for me to discover? A hacked file?

The person Eli received the intelligence from is named Ransom Lockhart, he's the foreign minister of Darknell. Gave me the tip on my last mission. He would be the only person who could leak that the rebellion is aware of the plans. However you feel it prudent to crack him, or let it leak that he is a rebel sympathizer. You could play that part out while we do our planning and transport posts. Once you have him for being a rebel sympathizer, attempt to extract what he knows about the empire and has shared with the rebellion. Once he cracks race to Coronet? However you want really if you don't like that idea. A hacked file works just as well.
