It could work if done properly. But to be honest, in a straight fight it should be rather difficult for a trooper/hunter to defeat a jedi/sith of the same level.

But with every MMO or RP for that matter, the build is what really matters

jedi/sith classes are going to be balanced, this issue has been harped on, yes they should be able to demolish everything, but that would kill the game and thus some of that 'realism' has to be lost in order to affect gameplay. Otherwise it wouldn't be SWtoR it would be Glowstickwars because no one would play the other classes.

Not all together so. There are individuals in the world who would relish the challenge of defeating a "true" Jedi/Sith. tbh if I were allowed to build a long range gunner, I'd prefer that to a Sith any day. Mind you, I did say a straight fight, meaning fair. No traps, no hiding, no special tactics. A toe to toe, close quarters fight.

Hassan, that video said right in it that it is for consoles, not Windows. The Wikipedia page also says the same thing.

Yes, but those individuals don't make up the majority playerbase, the number of jedi/sith would greatly outnumber that of other classes and would render them near pointless. You have to think of it from the perspective of an MMO. There is no alpha class, jedi and sith are exceptionally common in this era, and are thus not going to be given any alpha class concepts.

I can pretty much guarentee they will reverse that decision eventually.

No way will they risk alienating their current loyal fanbase. People PAY to play EvE-Online. If they wish to integrate the console gaming world into the existing Eve World (I.e. Eve = Space, Dusk = Ground - yet the two interact) they HAVE to allow PC players to play along.

It would annoy too many people to have them fork out another subscription just so they can get additional consequential gameplay. If they dont get the console version, then the stuff they have been building for the past 6 years goes to waste.

If this happens, mass account cancellation ensues. Guarenteed.
:P

Hey look at that, your reasoning is they'll loose members if they don't make it PC. Guess what? If TOR was made with those kinds of graphics, they'd loose members.

See the flaw in your argument?

I didn't post that because I honestly didn't think it was that big of a deal, or important really. Of course Coruscant is gonna be in the game.

That is a big deal to me. Since i've played the two KOTOR games the main thing I wanted out of the next one (And now this game.) is to explore Coruscant. I really cannot wait for this game, hopefully there will be a beta soon.

Exactly why I posted it, and how is the announcement of a new planet not a big deal?

The idea of creating and exploring a character in a place like that appeals to me a great deal. Cannot wait for this game.

It's not a big deal because it's like "unveiling" Korriban; we already know it's going to be in the game.

We didn't really, Nar Shadda has been mentioned as have a few other planets, that doesn't mean they'll be in-game.

I for one was hoping we'd get to explore the planet at one point, but I didn't think it would be a fully realized world, as no game has ever done that with Coruscant before.

I would have been terribly shocked if Coruscant wasn't in this one. It seemed quite obvious to me.

I was waiting for conformation and here it is, therefore it's exciting news. I'm shocked that you aren't excited about this.

Another thing that im hopeful for, but does seem sort of obvious is the playable races.....we keep only seeing humans.

They are probably keeping other species under wraps for as long as they can.

Of course, it's just a pain not knowing which ones they are. For some reason playing a Nautolan really appeals to me, never really seen them in a game before and judging from the art style of this game they'd look really great.

I'm not surprised at that either. BioWare won't show anything until they're absolutely positive it's going to be in the game, in almost the exact form they'll show it as. So naturally, until they're sure of the species besides humans, they won't show them. I just wished they'd hurry it up. :P

Yup, I have noticed in Bioware's history there has been very few to no "leaks". We don't hear it until THEY decide to say it.
