Ed Harris would probably make a good Vice Admiral Voss Parck, the Imperial Commander that found Thrawn in the Unknown Regions and wound up leading the Empire of the Hand with Baron Soontir Fel in the old EU. Older guy, more experienced and hardened, seen some "stuff" go down in his time.

yeah, fair point he would do well in a role like that. I had considered Charles Dance too but then thought he would probably be better as Gilad Pellaeon than Thrawn.

I read some "CNN" (Czerka News Network, lol ;)) reports on part of the scandal, it was hilarious rofl.

I'm still not 100% clear on the way the Jedi work here lol
I still think finding out CHANDRILA (Mon Mothma's planet) is the Republic capital (???) was the biggest hurdle I've had to jump so far :p lol I believe it's due to the old Sith Empire running most of the galaxy from Ol' Corrie for a while right?

Excellent! First off, I was discussing with a friend of mine the use of Force abilities, particularly in terms of mental persuasion or pressure. After reading the rules and regs we could find we decided it would work in a pre-arranged OOC-discussion resulting in an agreement, but we wondered how to effectively imply the capability of such a power without actually using such a power? Unless just using it on some NPCs every now and then works ;)

So basically how can you show a character to be powerful in using mental force abilities?

There are several ways you could do it. Like you said, doing it to NPCs is one way and then collaborating with you other RPers is another. I had an RP where I had someone use mental manipulation on my character while she was asleep. There's also describing it in your character sheet with your bio.
