The wood stick in his hand tapped lightly along the ground as Arador Drakar made his way across the town square. Lately things have been very tense. He may not be able to see just how tense things have gotten lately. But the young man sure can feel and hear it. Even his mother and aunt have been talking about what has been going on as of late. The young man felt that there is nothing he can do, yes he is force sensitive but he is not trained. And on top of that he is legally blind, not completely blind. But his vision is bad enough to be classed as blind. The teenager did not mind his inability to see because he can hear, smell and sense things. Like the faint sound of song birds in the distance. But the one thing that has been bugging him is that since he has tried to make contact with the Jedi Order no one has contacted him since. Arador has no idea if it is because of the fact he is blind or not but it is bugging him. The teenager had always thought of becoming a jedi years before his vision started to go south or learned that he is force sensitive.

He had no idea that as he made his way to the fountain at the middle of the town square that his luck will turn around and lead a surprise his way. His stick tapped against the wall of the fountain and the teenager came to a stop, carefully sitting on a bench after following the edge of the fountain to the wooden seat. The teenager tucked his stick close to him after sitting down. Taking a deep breath Arador took in all the sounds and smells. His eyes narrowed a bit as he felt something or someone he has not felt before. But then again it could just be another traveller passing through. So he paid no mind to what he is sensing as the teenager leaned back against the bench. Sighing softly he closed his icy blue eyes for a moment as he relaxed. But couldn't push away the nagging feeling at the back of his mind.

Wondering just who or what it is that is nagging him the teenager straightened himself on the bench, keeping perfectly still as he tried to sense what ever it is. Though it is a bit difficult since he's not trained. But Arador still tried, tuning out what his other senses are flooding his brain with.

Alek had been through a rough experience, having been with the Jedi for years he was captured not to long ago by an exile wanting to turn him, seeing in full the dark power they possessed but had been rescued by his fellow Jedi and put to easy work until he was ready for to reaturn to combat missions. But now back with the order he was tasked with finding another young student like done so before to possibly bring him into the order. As he came close to the center of town, Alek could feel a flow in the force as is felt as someone uses it. With training this was a valuable skill, for one to see more than was visible, it came from a small boy with walking stick close by. He could see the boys sight was damaged, as he approached he could tell this was the one, and so he spoke to the boy near the fountain. “Hi are you Arador by any chance? I’m Alek Varsan, I am with the Jedi order as they have sent me to meet you for a possibility for you to join the order.” Alek may be 22 but a lot in his life time matured him made him wise to teach others like done before this one, the Jedi Knight was happy some one as this wanted to be a Jedi Alek had joined at age 15, bad sight or not he would treat him no different as any one who he mentored. so he would question him, if the boy was truly the one he was looking for to see what he could learn.

The teenage boy tilted his head to the left then to the right. He may not be as in tune as a trained jedi. But Arador can 'feel' someone approaching him, but it can be anyone. He can't fully depend on hearing either since the sound of footsteps are everywhere. However he blinked with surprise as he heard footsteps approaching him directly.

Looking to his left, with a general guess of where the older male is standing and his height, "I was starting to wonder if I had somehow made myself invisible somehow since you are the first to find me. Yes I am Arador Drakar. Alek Varsan? It is a pleasure to meet you." The teenager was happy and excited that someone from the order has finally not only contacted him but actually came to him. It also created a dose of sadness because his mother told him not to come to her when someone from the order comes for him and instead send her a message. It is not because she is being bitter, it is so that Arador doesn't suddenly change his mind. Plus she and her sister have been working endlessly to move their family to Corellia now with the threat of war looming over all living on Alderaan.

Shifting a bit on the bench then standing up Arador faced Alek, "Why did it take so long for the Order to send someone? Is it because.. Of me being blind?" The one thing the teenager hated is being judged because of his poor vision.

Alek watched as the boy spoke and stood, he held himself well in his eyes. Then he came to awnser the boys question “I’m glad we could meet, as well as not at all it’s just that with all the conflict it begins to be difficult for us to do things now. But that’s why we need more people to join us. I can see even with your condition you won’t let they hinder you very much at a good age as well I joined at 15.” Alek said as the two talked then he asked a question of his own “Now why do you want to join the order, it’s no small task and won’t always be safe.” He paused “Training will be givin intstruction by me if you decide to join, I’ll teach you everything you need to know about the order and how to help defend against the rising threats this galaxy has to offer.” He then waits for a response.

Arador listened intently, glad that it was not because of his vision that no one has contacted him. It did disappoint him that it is because of recent events that stopped it all with it causing the jedi to become so busy. The teenager nodded, "I've never let my condition hinder me sir. It will do no good to let it control what I do." He said slowly as the teenager talked to the older man.

"I have always wanted to join the Order sir. Since I was a small child before I lost my vision. Ever since I heard that Jedi are to protect the weak and defenseless. That was what I wanted to do. It was not until I was ten years old that it was found out I am sensitive. And with recent events.. I feel it more than ever the wish to do something.. I may be blind but I am not ignorant to what has been going on. I believe the Queen is bringing on a war and that means more will be needed and done to protect those who can't defend themselves." The teenager shifted on his feet a bit, "I know it will be difficult and frustrating at times. But it will not deter me one bit." Arador told Alek. The teenager was not sure if he had given the jedi the answer he was looking for but that was what Arador would have said either way.

Alek smiled “That’s what I wanted a good honest answer, I’m glad you feel this way in time we can channel that to somthing in a productive direction.” He then thinks of the boys condition then speaks “If you are to be a Jedi then we will we’d to train you to see through the force rather than your eyes. I’ve seen many a Jedi loose their sight but was able to still see in their own way.” He stops and thinks about his possible family knowing what being in the order ment “I won’t rush you but if you are truly ready to become one of us, just tell me and the sooner the better as to not waste time that can be used for training.” Alek waited to see how he would respond, he reminded him of himself as a younger boy and wanted to help him as best he could.

Arador smiled glad that he gave the answer that Alek wanted to hear. Though the teenager was curious about what sort of training he will be going through. He doubted that his condition will change anything in that regard. Nor does he want training to be specially adjusted, "Well.. Naturally I am clueless to what sort of training I will have to do to learn to see. But.. I am willing to give it a try. And K know it will be difficult even frustrating at times but ot will be worth it." The teenager thought about the incident with the bully when hr was ten years old, "There was one incident when I was ten.. A bully was trying to punch me but I somehow felt it and moved out of the way. Then pushed him away. I don't know if that is what you mean by seeing through the force." He admitted. It was a complete accident, the teenager had no idea he is force sensitive until the incident happened.

Arador nodded, "I am ready to go. My mother for reasons she didn't tell me.. Told me not to come to her before leaving. Plus she and my aunt are busy trying to get away from here incase the war does happen. All she asks is that at some point I send a message to her." Arador told Alek, he tilted his head to the right a bit when he realized he didn't sense his mother or aunt anywhere and wondered if it is due to her leaving already, "In fact I.. Don't think she is on this planet anymore." He added. Naturally the teenager is able to pick up on his mother anywhere. But since he can't feel her it made Arador come to the conclusion she has left the planet. Perhaps she came looking for him and saw Arador talking to Alek.

Alek listened to Arador speak, once he finished Alek spoke. “Well alright then I can see you somewhat know how to use the force though training will show your full abilities.” He then refers to where they go from there “I have a ship not far here docked from there we can travel to one of the temples to begin your new life as an apprentice, I’m glad we can welcome a new member let’s get going the” and put a hand on his shoulder and started to walk soon the young ones path down the force would truly begin, and he would become a Jedi knight for the order to be a keeper of the peace. As they later boarded Aleks ship he opened a container and pulled out a set of robes “here try these on see how they fit, this is traditional, but with time you’ll find things that suit you as I have finding a light armor and now robes being a dark grey instead of the traditional brown.” He said as he handed them to the new student.

Arador nodded, feeling excitement burst through his veins, not believing that it is finally going to happen. The teenager showed the excitement with his smile, "Oh good. Means we can get out of here quicker." The now apprentice followed Alek through the streets to the dock, carefully holding his stick out so he didn't run into Alek, another being or some object. But Arador has somewhat memorized each path so he didn't have much trouble following the jedi to where his ship is.

Through what vision he does have left the young man was able to somewhat make out what the inside of his.. He guessed new master's, ship looked like. Though he couldn't tell much. Arador was dragged out of his somewhat attempt to look around where he stood when he heard Alek speak up. The teenager could not hold down his small chuckle, "That is where someone else will have to be my eyes. I doubt the force will tell me what color clothing is." The teenager said as he took the clothing, "Thank you! Erm.. Where do I get changed at?" He asked as he held the clothing in one arm and his stick in his free hand.

Alek let out a light chuckle hearing this “I guess your right on the matter, any way I’ll lead you down the hall to your room that you will stay in until we reach the temple.” He said leading him along and showed him to his room letting him enter “Do I need to stand out here to help you exit or can you manage?” Alek had students before all with their own flaws, but never did he teach one with poor eye sight. Knowing it would be easier once the boy could see in another way that his sight wouldn’t hinder him as Alek had seen in other masters that could put his battle skills to shame. Then thinking back to the boy he waited for a response after all he wanted to make him as comfortable as possible. But still thoughts ran through the knights mind on what training to begin, he thought for a moment then knew what he would do but for now. Focused on the task at hand of figuring out a system of communication for now.

Arador smiled, "Alright." He chirped as the teenager followed Alek down the hall to the room he will be staging in. Hearing the distinct click of the button to open the door the teenager hoped that he will be able to find it later when they get to the temple. Entering the room Arador turned to face the older male, "I think I will be able to manage just fine." The teenager reached out to the pad of buttons by the door feeling the buttons he was pretty confident that he knows which one controls the door. It shouldn't be that much different from those in apartments anyways. If so Arador can figure it out.

Placing the clothing on the bed the teenager turned back to Alek, "Is the temple far from here?" He asked curiously, the teenager has not travelled much so naturally he is curious and excited about the trip. He is sure that his new teacher will want him to get some rest during the travel but Arador is not so sure that sleep will be possible thanks to how excited he is.

Alek stood at the door and said “The trip will take some time but not as much as you think, I assure you we will be there before you know it, so feel free to rest or if you like, you can come into the main room with anything you want to know about me or the order and I’ll awsner best I can. But if you need anything don’t be shy to ask.” He closes the door and turned to leave his apprentice to change or whatever he wished moving down the hallway to the main room after telling the pilots to start there take off to start the journy to the temple, he then sits at a table in the main room taking one of his sabers on his belt and began to do work on it, it had been damaged in the last fight he had been and wanted to make sure it was fixed. No better time then now so he sat and worked nothing else seemed to happen for now.

Arador nodded, so it will take some time but not so much time that it will hinder Alek starting the training. At least not that much. The teenager nodded quietly when he heard what his teacher had to say then heard the door close. Turning back to the bed the teenager put his stick down then took off his coat. Getting changed into his new clothes Arador sat down on the bed, to be honest they felt rather comfortable. He took the time to neatly fold up his old clothing, placing them in a neat pile.

Picking up the boots the teenager slipped them on, tucking in the bottom of his trousers. The belt was a bit more difficult to put on but managed to get it on. Feeling around on the bed for anything he might have missed, nodding to himself when he felt nothing.

Grabbing his stick Arador turned to face the door, carefully walking over so he didn't walk right into the metal doorway. He felt for the pad then the button with his right hand. Hearing the familiar sound of the door opening after pushing one of the buttons. He lightly tapped the end of his stick against the wall to get an idea of where the wall on the left side is. Lightly running it against the wall until he found the main room that Alek told the teenager he will be in, "So if I may ask.. How long have you been a jedi?" The teenager asked as he sat across from Alek. Not that it will affect his willingness to learn from the older male because since Alek is the one who answered his message the teenager is willing to learn from him indefinitely.

Alek smiled as he worked, then answering his question “Well I’m just now 22 years of age, I joined the order at 15 so I’ve been a Jedi knight for about 7 years now. I lost my family at 15 we can thank the mandalorian people for that, so I joined the next day when another knight discovered my connection to the force. Wish my parents were still around they would have liked you.” He looked up at Arador, it seemed he could relax when he was around, after he had been rescused for the exile Alek was on edge, nearly forgotten who he was entirely. So he decided to take Arador as his student and it seemed to work he was less tense and could be more open. He answered the boys question then waited to see if another one was asked just to pass the time. The room quite other than them talking and the sound of the small tools Alek used to tinker with his saber filled the room, he was happy Arador asked questions, showed he takes a real interest, always a good trait to have. A Jedi can never stop learning really even now Alek was learning even if he was the teacher, and when Arador became a knight on his own path he would learn more as well. A never ending cycle Alek enjoys but for now this was the present, even if the moment small it still held meaning.

Arador frowned as he listened, "I'm sorry about your parents. Mandalorians are violent.. I don't know why people go to their planet. I am sure your parents were wonderful people." The teenager shifted a bit in his seat, getting himself comfortable, "My mom, aunt and cousin are the only family I know. The only thing I know about my father is that he is a Morellian.. My mom and aunt freaked out when it was discovered I'm force sensitive. My cousin was jealous but thought it was awesome." The teenager looked down to the table then over to Alek wondering how much alike they were when his teacher was his age, "Do some people find out by accident they are force sensitive? I didn't know until the incident with the bully.. And it has bugged me since then. I mean I was thrilled but confused at the same time."

As the room quietened a bit the teenager listened closely as he heard Alek tinkering with his lightsaber, "So.. What do I call you now that you are my teacher?" Arador asked when the question popped into his head. There are a lot of questions coming to mind since he is naturally a curious person. Of course Arador is going to be careful and not flood Alek with questions, "I am sure that there are protocols.. Erm rules.. Whatever they are called." Arador said tilting his head a bit as he listened to Alek's tinkering. The teenager then started to wonder how he will manage to construct his first lightsaber since he can't see.

Alek chuckled “Mandalorians are good people I’ve seen just some are more violent than others. Also yea they do, I found out by accident, see when my parents died the mandalorian then shifted his attention to me I thought I was dead so I tried to put my hands up as a reaction to try and stop him as the blade came down I forced pushed for the first time. But he did graze me under my right eye, so I have a scar now but my eye was missed barley.” He paused and regained his thought “Then Jedi arrived they saw what I did, and having nothing left I gave what my family owned to the town to help rebuild after the attack and joined the order like you did now, trust me even if our pasts are a little different we’re more similar that you think.” He let out a small chuckle “you can call me what you like, if you rather call me mentor or master it doesn’t matter to me if you call me Alek either it’s what’s comfortable for you.” He said as he kept working on the saber then looking up to Arador then saying “It won’t be to long till you construct a lightsaber if your own, when you do you’ll be a full Jedi knight, till then you’ll train to expand your ability’s with the force.” He then finished realigning his saber crystal to fix it waiting to see what else the boy had to say.

Arador listened intently knowing that he will be learning quite a bit about his teacher. The teenager frowned aa he learned how much pain Alek had been through, "That is terrible.. All populations on each planet has a bit of a dark side to them. But as equally there are good people as well." The teenager tilted his head as he chuckled a bit when he learned that both of them discovered they are force sensitive while accidentally pushing attackers away. That was intriguing to the teenager, "I see in ways we are the same." He grinned a bit, "Master sounds too formal to me. Mentor sounds more interesting."

Listening to the sounds of tinkering as Alek repaired his lightsaber the boy wondered how Alek was able to guess what he was thinking about, "H-how did you know what I was thinking about? Did I look that obvious?" He asked ready to nerd out a bit but also a bit embarassed if he did make it obvious somehow what he was just thinking about, "But.. With not being able to see how will I construct a lightsaber?" The boy blinked as he figured out the answer himself, "Oh... The force is what I will use to help with that." The teenager ran his hand through his hair sheepishly. The boy felt a little stupid for asking a question that not only had an obvious answer but an answer he should have known before hand.

Alek awnsered “the most stone faced people’s enotions can be felt through the force giving off an indicator to me what your feelings are, but back to the topic. When a lightsaber is constructed I’d say sight is the least usedsense for it at least the sight of the eyes, I’m just tinkering, if I was constructing a new saber I would use the force to guild the parts together. For it is delicate work that could be dangerous if not done correctly trust me, my last student was a 10 foot tall wookie named Kazza. If I can make him a Jedi, I can do the same to make sure you just as good or better than most in the order.” He then finished the saber repair and then asked “would you like to hold this one? I keep two sabers but you can try this one my blue saber. The other is yellow and on my belt, just so you get to feel one.” He offered the saber to Arador to take to let him experience the weapon. “Each saber and it’s wielder have a special bond that helps make it an extension of the user. The bond is created with the crystal houses within the hilt. It’s like a small vibration if you can feel it.” He waited to see what Arador would do just out of curiosity, a small task to pass the time with the apprentice.

Arador looked to Alek, he had no idea that the force can give off a person's emotions and there fore what they are thinking. The teenager had no idea that the force was capable of that, "That I have to admit is neat. I had no idea the force can hint to a person's emotions and what they are thinking."

The boy listened to Alek as he explained how and why it is the force that is used to construct a lightsaber instead of sight, "Great so I will be able to construct one when the time comes.." He blinked in surprise when his mentor offered to let him hold onto one of his two lightsabers. Wasn't a lightsaber a jedi's most cherished possession? But to be offered to hold one is surely is a rare offer, so turning it down surely would be a stupid decision. Arador looked to his mentor, "Yes I would like to hold it." He said as he reached over for it. Usibg his fingers to actually find it before carefully holding it in his hand.

Arador ran his hand along the handle careful to to activate the blade. He was able to faintly feel the vibration Alek was talking about, "I can feel the vibration. It's fast but steady. Never speeding up or slowing down." The teenager tilted his head in thought wondering if he could activate the blade. After thinking about it, Arador stood up and activated the blade. Hearing the slight humming of the blade matched the vibrations of the crystal, "The humming matches the vibration.. They sped up a little. Like it matches how you feel when holding it Alek." The teenager deactivated the blade, sitting back down he placed the weapon down on the table. Looking at his mentor the boy tilted his head in thought. Putting together what the vibrations and the humming were telling him about Alek.

Alek watched Arador test the saber, seeing the teenager exited about the ordeal. Then placing it back to the table, Alek then revealed more information reguarding the crystals bond “You see one doesn't simply choice a crystal, in fact it is the crystal itself choosing you. The crystal in a way is alive within the force, it can feel emotions just as we can. A crystal by itself will create a white blade.” He paused and regathers his thought “But when bonded with its user apoun his intention, emotions, and many other factors it will then take a color that represents the user. In my rare case like me I have two crystals each going to different sides of my feelings in the force as I grew so two different colored sabers.” He then reveals a dark truth “A dark user of the force will put their pain and anger into a crystal against its will making it feel the pain and raw emotion causeing it to bleed, in return gives their crimson red blades their color.” Alek sat back and thought for a moment of what he said, it was no small task to do the horrid thing and he wished it never took place but it did people did this, though he knew why he knew he would never take part in it. Then he recived word they were coming tward tython a planet that held the temple where he would train the young jedi, “Any questions while we have the time?” He asked to help the young one understand what he needed to.
