Brayden sat alone in his office, staring out the window over the industrial scape that was Nar Shaddaa. In recent months, Brayden spent painstaking hours in moving all resources and members to the new main hall of the Guild which was now the building he was sitting within. Recruiting was slow but that was to be expected considering the Guild's current state but today was his actual first interview with a new member. His name was Jake Terek once a family man that had been booked for their murder. They of course cleared his name after the investigation but no matter where you go that never looks good on your application or resume'. That is of course if you were joining B.H.G. because they make no assumptions on their employees so to speak.

Jake had some decent training as well. All from this man named "Master Hann" too! Brayden had heard of this man before but his pockets were certainly lined with gold considering the price you had to pay just for one of his boxed holo-vids. The man was good with small fire arms, people and knew how to drive a freighter. All admirable skills in Brayden's eyes. The time for Brayden's interview with Jake was about to begin. Turning back to his computer, Brayden opened up Jake's dossier and was ready to update with needed information and which rank he was going to be placed within the Guild.

Things were looking up finally for Brayden. His father may have some what given up on the Guild but Brayden had too much pride to let his father's work die a silent death. Removing his helmet and placing it on his desk, Brayden let out a loud sigh as he thought back to the days of the Guild's prime. It only pushed him that much further to bring it back in a brand new image for the galaxy to fear. Would his father be proud? That was yet to be seen.

Once learning of the Bounty Hunters Guild, Jake was contacted by one of their representatives. Apparently, the Guildmaster, Brayden, wanted to 'interview' him. He was puzzled because he didn't know how an interview would go for a job that involved killing people. But none the less, he made the long trip to Nar Shaddaa. If he wanted to find out who was behind the killing of his family, the resources of the Guild could prove useful.

Once Terek exited hyperspace above Nar Shaddaa, he glared at the planet. He got closer and closer. The more closer he got, the more the knot in his stomach tightened. Once he docked, he retrieved his cloak from his personal quarters, and said goodbye to Dash, 'I wont be gone too long boy. You know the drill,' he said exiting the ship.

As he walked the streets of Nar Shaddaa, he kept his right hand close to the gun on his right thigh. After all, he was on the 'Crime Capital' of the Galaxy. Anything and everything could go down in the streets. Following the directions given by the representative, he found himself in front of a big building. He entered, and was shown to Brayden's office.

When he entered, he saw Brayden behind a desk, staring at the computer. He approached the man. 'Mr. Evie, I'm Jake Terek. But I think you already knew that,' he said extending his hand to the man.

Upon shaking Terek's hand, Brayden could see how upright of upright of a man he really was. Being a respectable man with something of a checkered past had its pros and cons. You might want to trust an individual like Terek but it was also a risk not knowing whether or not the stuff that went down in his past was actually true. But Brayden mused to himself about what it was to be a hunter within the guild. We make no assumptions. That line within the Guild's info certainly had its uses when hiring new hunters.

"Good to finally meet you, Jake. Here at the Bounty Hunter's Guild we are excited about our new addition to our team of hunters. I'm going to have to ask you a couple questions before I fully accept into our ranks. These questions differ upon the individual obviously because we are no ordinary business that can be applied for with some piece of paper."

Terek looked like aspiring hunter material. If given the right equipment and nudge in the right direction the man could easily take down his targets. Whether or not he had the stomach and nerve to take down his targets with out a second thought was yet to be seen though.

Jake sat down and listened to Brayden explain himself. The interview was definitely going to be something, different. But he knew that coming in. The job he was applying for required him to kill people if needed. Would he have the guts to do it? Only time would tell. He wanted to reach his main objective; finding his family's killer. And this would help him gain information about the scum that covered the Galaxy.

'I understand, Brayden. This isn't a regular job. So I would expect out of the ordinary questions. I'm willing to answer every question honestly,' he said with a slight chuckle.

"I read you have had some training experience but no actual experience in the field when it comes to our line of work. Is this true?"

Brayden paused to let Jake think of his answer while Brayden himself thought up the next question.

"This will be a touchy question but in your dossier I found that you were going to be booked for the murder of your family. We do not make assumptions but I myself is some what intrigued to hear your side of the story. So what really happened Jake?"

Pausing once more, Brayden knew his recent question might strike a nerve with Jake but he wanted to know what really went down that night. He was either dealing with a family man bent on revenge or a psychopath who murdered his family. Either persona would be effective as a hunter. But of course the secondary might be harder to work with in the field considering most of his targets would not be making it back alive.

Jake sat in the chair. Silence. He then started laughing for no reason. He then shot up and in Brayden's face, 'I killed them! It was the perfect murder! Nobody will ever find me guilty! Hahaha,' he then sat down, and instantly shut up. Then, it was like he came to after gazing off in the distance.

'That is correct Mr. Bryaden. I've had training in specific fields, but no field experience. And to answer your second question, I honestly don't know what happened. I was enjoying family time with them, and the next thing I remember, I'm taking a shower. And for the life of me, I can't remember why I was taking a shower. I had no reason to. That is when, when,' a tear could be seen running now his right cheek, 'I found them. Dead. I was detained initially because they thought I committed the murder. But with no evidence, no motive, they couldn't book me for it. I just hope I can catch that son of a bitch who did it,' he said turning his head away from Brayden.

Brayden was not sure what had just happened exactly. One moment he was writing in peace, checking whatever details that needed to be checked on paper and suddenly jake was yelling like a madman. It was so abrupt, Brayden spazzed for a moment. Stiffening his entire body up and throwing his pen to the side as Jake went on in his lunacy. But just like that Jake snapped back into a seemingly normal state of mind. What was he getting into? Hiring a madman?

But Brayden found resolve in his choice. The madman would make a efficient hunter if at first his alter ego of sorts did not get in the way. He even felt like calling in a escort to show him the way out to cut down on the issue that might occur with his other ego piping in. Instead, Brayden picked up his pen and resumed writing as if nothing happened. It was better to do such because Jake was most likely not even aware of what happened.

"I'm sorry to hear that, Jake. Hopefully with our assets you will be able to find this.."killer" of yours. In the mean time though, I am placing you as a new hunter. Crime is not your expertise as far as I know so this some what helped in that instance. When you complete your first hunt though you will move up in rank. Proving yourself to be worth the Guild's time."

Jake listened to Brayden explain himself. He understood where the man came from. 'I understand, Bryaden. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes to prove myself. Speaking of which, how long will I have to 'wait'? To be honest, I'm itching to get my hands, dirty. The man responsible for my family's death did it with ease. I need to be able to do that.'

Jake suddenly was quiet. He did alittle twitch. 'Tell him, Brayden. Tell him it was I who killed them. I'm in need of release. I couldn't be couped up in that 'fake' shell. He needs to know he's a born, killer. The life he's leading is a lie. His father protects him from it all. If you don't believe me, you'll find out in due time.'

The alter ego was talking again and it did nothing but make him unsettled. The other ego was completely oblivious to the other. While the opposite knew what was going on. Which one was safer? The one who knew nothing of his darker side or the one who could at least acknowledge its curious situation? Brayden had a feeling one of the two was going to take hold eventually.

"I really don't care about his predicament."

Said Brayden as he quietly slid his over his chest, fodnling the grip of one of his slug throwers.

"I care about my own safety but I have a feeling as odd as your personality is you might be the one who actually can control himself. Am I right or am I just pulling at straws here?"

The question was genuine and if the alter ego could hold a conversation, Brayden had a feeling which one he was going to like more. The other side was a sappy father who could not realize what had gone wrong. The more so devilish ego knew exactly what happened and could careless. That was the side he wanted working with the Guild.

'You can trust me. I, know me. Jake does not. If he finds out, I guarantee, he'll be worse than me. A man who's been living a lie, finding out he killed the ones he loved, will not be good for him. Or me. The only way, and I mean the only way, to put me in full control, is to release me. I need to kill. Killing is what I was built for. But it was subdued by my father after my first, 'incident', Dax said with a grin. 'However, I've managed to have my urges. By the way, my name is Dax. And Mr. Brayden, you wont have to worry about Jake. Once he's put into the situation, I'll be able to take control, and he'll never know.

Really, him and I could be partners. When Jake gets mad, or his adrenaline starts pumping, I take over. And he doesn't even know. He only remembers what initially happens, and the ending. Like a, conscious blackout. Or if you would prefer I take over completely, its understandable,'
Dax said as he slowly pulled the gun from his left thigh holster, examining it.

"Eventually you might have to take over completely. When ever the time arises I hope you can take control. After all I can't see something being worse than you at the moment."

Said Brayden with a slight chuckle at the end of his sentence. Whether or not it was a good time to joke was beyond him.

"As of right now you will be open to take bounties when they are posted. There might even be one to just end the bounty's life. For now our meeting is over Ja-..I mean Mr.Dax. See yourself out and make yourself at home with the Guild and please keep things easy going will you?"

With that, Brayden spun his chair around facing the window he was gazing out of earlier. Tonight was interesting indeed. Hiring a psychopath would either prove to be useful or more trouble than it was worth.

'Thank you Sir,' Dax said as he stood up, holstering the gun. 'I'm here at your disposal,' he said with a grin, leaving the room. He slowly made the way out the building, and to the Nar Shaddaa Guild Hall. When Dax arrived, he realized the Hall was, simply. He liked simply things. He found a bunk, and turned in for the night, letting Jake have his life back. For now.
