Not everyone keeps track of musical rock stars. I can't name any Beatles members myself. I didn't know Stevie Wonders was alive. I have heard of the other bands though. Still, just because she doesn't know them doesn't mean you should ridicule her for them.

You ridicule her for being Padme.

I am completely detached from pop culture as well, so I sympathize with Padme. Though my dad and sister are fans of rock music so I hear a few things from them. My sister is a gamer and likes her superheroes and stuff, not me though.

I cannot remember the last time I went to the movies. I am a huge Gong Li fan so I like my Chinese tragedies from the 90's, and Korean and Japanese horror. I also love opera, classical music and silent film. My fave silent screen stars are Barbara LaMarr and Clara Bow. The closest thing to pop culture I like is anime, and I haven't watched an anime in ages, oh and Game of Thrones. I like the odd bit of J-pop, and of course, alternative fashion, though not sure if those count as pop culture.
