Upon meeting Suiren for the first time, very few people would be in a position to see anything beyond the concealing outfit that the man wears. With light grey pieces of Clovoc Duelling Armour worn over a dust red tunic, all that can be discerned is that the Kyuzo stands tall (at 6'2") and is built lean and wiry.

If one were to see beyond the man's mask, however, they would still see little to differentiate him from the average Kyuzo; at least from their own alien perspective. The greatest distinguishing features unique to the man would be his yellow tinted eyes showing off his affiliation with the Dark Side of the Force, as well as the numerous scars on his body from his years of war participation.

To the majority of people that he meets, Suiren comes off as cold and aloof. While some part of this comes from the robotic tone of the man's translator, it is certainly true that he sees little value in false smiles and fake complements. More than anything else, Suiren tends to speak his mind regardless of how it may be received. Chances are that if he doesn't take a liking to you, you'll find out soon enough. Even with that said, the Kyuzo is also not above realizing than a certain amount of tact can be necessary in the face of someone capable to making his life far more painful than it needs to be.

This straightforwardness does not necessarily mean that Suiren is uncultured, however. In fact the opposite is true, and his upbringing in the Gyaryi clovoc has taught the man to appreciate the finer things in life such as poetry, music, and literature. The clovoc also taught him to value loyalty and appreciate assistance rendered towards him. Generally, the man will work to repay a debt, even towards someone that he could otherwise hardly bear interacting with.

Dabbling in the use of the dark side of the Force has begun to affect Suiren's personality, as he has begun to turn to rage far more easily than he once did. For the moment his corruption is far from complete, but it will not be long until he is utterly lost to the Dark Side. Until then, Suiren in many ways seeks to discover his own role in the galaxy. Whether this means reaffirming his commitment to the exiles, or striking out a different path, is unknown even to him.

Having been brought as a member of a militant organization, it should come as no surprise that Suiren's primary talents relate to doing battle. His greatest talent lies in his ability to wield a lightsaber; being able to use both variations of form V with skill. He is trained to fight with both a single lightsaber and a saberstaff, and is also possessed of reasonable hand to hand skills. While he is far from being a gunslinger, Suiren is also able to use a blaster pistol with reasonable proficiency.

In the ways of the Force, the man is not quite so keenly talented. He has focussed his training in order to augment his physical body and heighten his senses, and he also has some basic talent in the field of telekinesis. Beyond that, however, Suiren may as well be deaf to the Force.

Suiren would rarely be seen as charismatic, a hindrance only increased by his use of translation software in speaking basic. In order to be manipulated by the Kyuzo, one would have to be very open to outside influence indeed.

Suiren is a skilled linguist. While his physiology makes it difficult to speak in anything besides his native tongue, he has a thorough understanding of Basic, Shyriiwook, and Bocce.

  • One double-bladed Lightsaber with a blue crystal, generally found on his right hip.
  • One set of Clovoc Duelling Armour, with Phrik alloy gauntlets.
  • One 4C Blaster Pistol, along with three clips. The blaster and clips are all in a holster on Suiren's left hip.
  • One old traveller’s cloak, usually worn to conceal his lightsaber.
  • One backpack, containing basic survival gear. as well as a few days’ worth of provisions.

For as long as he could remember, the boy known as Suiren had had no blood outside that founded through friendship. Perhaps his parents had both lost their lives soon after he was born; perhaps they had never wanted him to begin with. As far as the child knew, his mother and father could only have known each other for a single evening. Such thoughts never bothered him, however. While he had no blood relations close to him, there were still people he could call mother and father, as well as people he thought of as nothing less than a sibling. The bonds that might otherwise have been denied in his life had been granted entirely by the Gyaryi clovoc where he was instead raised.

Making his home within the laws and traditions of the clovoc, Suiren was trained to be a warrior from as soon as he was able to walk. Alongside the next generation of orphans and beggars from which the Gyaryi made their membership, he was taught to become a man able to carry out the laws and traditions of the clovoc within their political sphere. Included in the training were such skills as language and other basic academic endeavours, but chief among the skills learnt was that of warfare. Blaster training came second only to that in melee combat, with warriors eventually expected to fight equally well with their fists and a quarterstaff. The style taught by the clovoc was brutal, aggressive, pragmatic, and yet still not necessarily lethal; ideal for a group that practiced their craft as military police as much as anything else.

While he adapted well enough to all his lessons, from the beginning it was always in a duelling circle that Suiren showed his true worth. The child advanced far beyond his age in terms of his fighting skill, something made possible by his budding force sensitivity. By the time he was 16 years old, the boy was recognized as a true member of the clovoc instead of simply a trainee.

As a result, the young warrior soon found himself competing in one of the famed tournaments hosted between the various clovocs. Suiren himself was the youngest competitor at the event, but still managed to put forward a more than fair showing of himself. He came fifth out of several dozen. Among the spectators was a Jedi Knight by the name of [[Rom's Jedi]], who saw that there was more to the Kyuzo than simple skill at arms. The Jedi approached the leader of Suiren's clovoc and the two agreed that the boy would leave Phatrong for the path of the jedi. When Suiren himself has approached, the boy quickly agreed.

Once Suiren arrived on the holy world of Jedha, it was quickly decided that he would be sent to undergo his training under a Jedi master named Whyrrkrar. While the guardian was currently on Kashyyyk, an area far too dangerous for most younglings to train, the general shortage of able jedi tutors meant that someone like Suiren (with years of martial training already under his belt) would be better taught by Whyrrkrar's example in the field than by a holo-recording.

Whyrrkrar himself was one of the few Wookiees among the jedi, and thus had found himself co-ordinating and negotiating for Wookiee support for the Jedi, and managing a small forward base used by them in the war. The man himself was renowned as being one of the greater blademasters in the order, and it was in this capacity that he flourished as a teacher. Suiren quickly became well versed in the ways of lightsaber combat, training primarily in the use of Shien and Djem So.

Simultaneously he began being shown the ways of Jedi philosophy, but in this regard Whyrrkrar fared less well. For every lesson that Suiren understood and accepted, there was one that he doubted the sense behind. Beyond all else he failed to realize why the Jedi's harsh stance towards the users of the dark side was justified. In his mind the force never became more than a tool to be used for the task of keeping the peace, and as such he slowly began to view the jedi as being unjustified in their genocidal goals.

These doubts never surfaced, however, with Suiren instead learning to keep them to himself after his initial questions were quickly rebuked by Whyrrkrar. So it was that Suiren was called away from Kashyyyk only a single year after he had first arrived. He spent the next thirteen years fighting for the Jedi army against the exiles, until one day in the year 6905BBY. On the planet of Iridonia, Whyrrkrar and Suiren came across a lone exile while patrolling near a jedi outpost on the planet. Quickly, the pair defeated the Zabrak, but when he pled for mercy Suiren refused to kill the now seemingly defenceless foe. Whyrrkrar took the act as treason and proof that the Kyuzo had embraced the dark side, immediately attacking Suiren himself with the intent to kill. With help from the Zabrak, Suiren managed to escape his former master alongside his former enemy.

The pair made their way back to a hideout that the Zabrak had been operating from. The man introduced himself to Suiren as Tyzen Fess, and told him that while the Jedi would no longer accept him after what he had done, the exiles would undoubtedly allow him to join them. Failing to see any other option, Suiren agreed to join the exiles and allowed Tyzen to begin teaching him how to use the Dark Side of the Force.

The pair fought together from then on until the Tragedy at Ilum, where the sheer shock of the incident convinced Suiren to hide away from the galaxy until he improved his understanding of the Force. For the next year he interacted with few other beings, instead seeking out locations strong in the Force in which he could meditate. Recently, the Kyuzo made his way to Onderon, following whispers of a place of great dark side power festering on the planet.
