BIOGRAPHY

[beebox3=500px]Sura Thrain was born on the Miraluka homeworld of Alpheridies to a farming family. Her talent with the force having been noticed early on, she was given to the Jedi order as an infant and was raised in the Praexum of Tython, learning the ways of the force under her first master, Master Kai Loric. The two traveled across the galaxy, helping refugees and opposing all would be
conquerors. On one such occasion after a relief mission to Belkadan Sura and Kai were ambushed by a band of 50 mandalorians. Vanishing into the swamp, the Sura spent the next 3 days learning about stealth and guile as Master Loric used the environment to his advantage, attacking rapidly and vanishing into the trees. By the dawn of the third day, the Mandalorians had successfully been driven back by the two Jedi, and an impressed Master Loric took Sura to Ilum to construct her lightsaber. It was here they received word about Tython's destruction.
Since the destruction of Tython, Sura and Kai redoubled their efforts, fighting the Sith across the galaxy where they could and helping the oppressed subjects of the empire when they couldn't fight directly. The cunning master Loric and his apprentice fought many missions in the empire and embarked on an extremely dangerous mission to Yavin with several other Jedi to reclaim some stolen holocrons. The mission was a disaster, with the Sith becoming alerted to their presence. Marauders quickly slaughtered their way through most of the Jedi, Sura herself almost being killed by one, her life being spared when Master Loric goaded the Twi'lek into a duel atop one of the ancient temples so Sura could escape with the survivors. She saw her master run through with the Sith's red lightsaber as the ship blasted off. Since returning from that mission, Sura has spent the last 8 months in the temple on Dantooine, ceaselessly training. [/beebox3]

Personality

[beebox3=500px]Sura comes across as very quiet and stoic, though those who she is close to will tell of a sardonic sense of humor. Intensely focused of training after the destruction to Tython, Sura has a deeply buried core of rage and grief that slowly vents out when she fights. Burying those old feelings under layers of self discipline, she keeps her cool in most situations however. Striving to emulate the cunning and guile her master displayed, she works to accomplish her objective with the least amount of expenditure, whether in energy, resources, or lives. Like all Jedi she is compassionate and cares deeply about the welfare of the common people, helping those in need. [/beebox3]

[beebox3=500px]Sura is clever, composed, and graceful. Talented in Djem So lightsaber combat, her true talents lie in the force, especially with her Force Sight and telekinesis. While she is usually calm, sufficiently stressful situations can cause her to lose her temper and forget much of her technique to instead singlemindedly pursue her target. And of course while she does have combat experience, as a padawan she simply does not have the level of expertise of a Jedi Knight and will be at a disadvantage on her own vs any more experienced opponent.[/beebox3][beebox3=500px]

Pretty good first character! Something to keep in mind though is that the Sith leadership won't allow the use of a Darth in a backstory as all of the existing Darths are actual PCs, there aren't any NPC Darths. All you'd have to do (I reckon) is bump it down to some kind of Sith marauder or Inquisitor and you should be okay. I'll tag Sith leadership for their opinion -- @Malon @Ecclessey @Intratec

yea but I kinda want to try out being a padawan. idk I wrote the backstory to be a little flexible on that, I'll make a looking for a master post on the Jedi forums and if nobody shows interest I can edit to just being a knight?

Hmmm. Now that I think of it. Post-Time skip there are no Padawans. They are Initiates.

And if I recall, you don't necessarily need a master if you are an Initiate. If you can't find a master, I think you can NPC a Knight to fill the role too (although I could be wrong). The Jedi faction leaders would know better than I do.

Seems fine, the stuff about going to Yavin isn't too questionable. Just, Yavin would be near suicidal (I think.) for a Jedi, even a Master to go to alone with only a Padawan. So maybe add something in about how dangerous it possibly was? Other than that as I said, seems fine.

The lowest rank in the Jedi Order is Initiate not Padawan. We do not have Padawans but that won't hold up approval. You can have an NPC who was your former master, but an NPC should not be an active master of an Initiate. One of the leadership team will review with the changes.

I see no issues concerning the Sith used in the background. A NPC Darth would, like Logan said, not have been approved for background purposes.
