A beautiful day.

No more words were needed to describe the amazing day that was to be awaited, judging from the cloudless skies and hot temperature of Selvaris. Standing on the porch of his house, glancing through the snaking trees and through the sands into the horizon, Vizza enjoyed the sunrising while eating something for breakfast. He hadn't had much time lately to enjoy a simple breakfast, not since he began his search for Ray. And he simply loved breakfast with this sunrise.

But why was he in Selvaris? Well, simple: he had returned to the one place he felt at home ever since he left the Jedi Order, and he had brought a guest, a female Zabrak named Tsuki. Nothing more, nothing less. Having met her at a bar, it didn't take him long for him to realize the potential within her. Well, they did spend a few days travelling; she needed a ride, Vizza could use the company, and something about her tickled Vizza's fancy. Guess the Force makes no mistakes when it comes to Fate and Destiny.

"Speaking of Tsuki", Vizza wondered, "where is she!?" He looked up to the house, but didn't bother to search for her. She would come to him. He had suggested very subtly that he was willing to teach her about the Force after he revealed himself as a Shade Master, and as such he would wait for her to come and take upon his offer.

The very Zabrak which had crossed the mind of the Master was stretched out on the ground just out of sight from the house. Beside her was the runty Nexu which followed her faithfully, and mauled her occasionally. An odd pair, with her paler than average skin, and his much darker than common pelt. The creature lifted it's head, nostrils quivering as it inhaled, forked tail twitching as he slide to his paws, padding across the ground swiftly and back to the house.

The animal had taken a strange liking to Vizza, their host, ever since he'd appeared in the bar. Tsuki had no clue why, and found it sopmewhat annoying. With a sigh she stood and jogged after him, finding him sitting calmly at the bottom of the porch as though standing guard. An amusing sight.

It made her think of the offer Vizza had made her. A strange one, indeed. She paused when she noticed Vizza on the porch, her pace slowing cautiously. Her nature was untrusting, and with her past it was to be expected. She wanted to take him up on the offer, if for nothing else than to see what was involved. She stopped entirely when she reached Phisto, absently rubbing his head with her hand and looking up at Vizza. "So... You've got a nice home here." She wasn't entirely sure what she was supposed to say, and found it irritating. She liked to be in charge, and having power taken from her was awkward. "What happens if I stay on?" She was implying, subtley, staying on as his student. There was no other reason for her to remain for long, after all, at the moment.

Upon the appearance of the Nexu, Vizza made no movement other than looking at it, enjoying the sight of the beast without it tearing it's head off. He found them quite amusing, though had he ever met one he would bet his lightsaber it wouldn't be as docile, even with Phisto's temper. Soon after Tsuki joined them, and as she did, Vizza let himself open to the Force, listening to the whispers it carried about her. "Thanks, I built it myself." Vizza's lips curved, showing his always charismatic smile, in an attempt to leave Tsuki more comfortable.

At her question, Vizza didn't take long to formulate the answer; it came out as naturally as if she had asked if he wanted to take a swin. "It depends on what you wish to do during your stay. As I said before, you're welcome to stay as long as you want." He took a sip from his mug before proceeding. "Though, I feel I must say this again: you have a raw untapped potential within the Force... it's up to you to decide whether or not you wish to open up to it. It will be hard. It won' be pretty at all. But in the end... it'll be quite gratifying." Another sip, and the mug was empty, letting Vizza looking to the bottom of the mug before setting it down at his feet. "Don't think I'm trying to scare you; by now you must've realized I don't do that. I'm just saying... It's a big step."

The male Zabrak got to his feet, and circled around Tsuki and Phisto, and down the stairs to the forest grounds. "It's a decision you must make on your own. Should you choose to leave, the Galaxy is your to explore; plenty of opportunities out there. Should you choose to stay... Well, I guess you would have to find out the hard way." And with that, he took off, walking in a paced yet controlled rythem, through the sands to the middle of the beach.

Tsuki listened as Vizza spoke, mentally picking apart everything, trying to analyze it and make it all fit into something she could weild more effectively. There really wasn't any. She was going to have to play the game on his terms, and as he finished talked and started walking away, she looked after him with a sigh. Follow? Stay?

The decision was taken from her in a swift and unexpected movement. Phisto dropped low to the ground and sprang back up, planting his front paws on her back and effectively shoving her, and placing a few long marks across her skin that started to trickle a fine line of blood. "Fone!" She moved forward. not that she had much choice as she'd already staggared forward from the impact, but she did shoot a dark look at the Nexu who was settling to the ground, stretched out with his head resting on his paws and an amused glint in his dark eyes.

She followed after Vizza, hanging back a little bit while she thought out what to say.

She remained behind, when she parted her lips to speak finally. "Alright. I'll try. No promises, but I'm willing to see what happens..." She took a slow breath, and a few quick steps to move a little closer before resuming her pace, matching his. "So where do we start?"

"Good, good. If you're willing to see what happens, that's all I need for now. Well, maybe some effort as well." Vizza winked his eye playfully, trying not to pressure her in any way. As he moved through the beach, he sat near the water with his legs crossed under him, his left side facing the water while his right side faced the house. He made a movement with his hand, signaling Tsuki to sit in front of him. "We shall start... with the beginning. I want you to know that by taking on my offer, you are to be a Shade Padawan, a learning initiate of the Shade Order. Don't let this pressure you in any way; I'm merely here to show you a path. You're the one that must walk it, if you ever wish to. That being said..."

Vizza closed his eyes, and let himself expand through the Force, feeling the whole beach and forest, the waters, the sands, the trees and all the life that beamed around him. He then opened them, looking at Tsuki. "...do you think you're ready for this?"

She settled to the sandy beach in front of Vizza, as he gestured she do. She didn't cross her legs, she'd learned that made it too hard to move quickly. Instead, she tucked them beneath her, her feet tilted so her toes were on the ground, as were her knees. With a shift of weight and a quick motion she could be back on her feet.

She wasn't sure what he was doing, sitting with his eyes closed, but when he opened them to look at her, she felt a faint chill course hr spine. It was quickly dispelled, and she nodded slowly. "Yes." It couldn't be worse than anything she'd been through already, right? That was her main comfort. She'd survived a life which many wouldn't, and she was stronger for it. Scarred, yes, but stronger. If she wasn't ready, she wouldn't have come, of that she was sure.

Vizza smiled. "Good. Then let us get started." Vizza made a motion with his hand towards the left, thrusting it downwards with his palm stretched. As he did, the sands in the direction of his hand swirled and flew up. He did the same thing towards his right side, timely so as to keep it dramatic, and then did the same with both at the same time, kicking up more sand. The then rested his hands on his knees before speaking. "The Force... The Force is everywhere. Within everything. It stretches out from the darkest corners of the universe and into the very core of what we are. The Force touches everyone and everything. However, only some people can touch it back... I, for instance, am one of those. You are as well."

"The first step into touching the Force is recognizing the Force within you. You must learn how to control it in order to use it. And how will you reach within yourself? Easy..." Vizza got to his feet, the sand falling down from his articulated armor plates. "...start running." And with that, Vizza's tone changed. It was still playful, but had a little bit of sick entretainment to it. The final touch to his command of running was his open stretched palm, aimed at Tsuki, which was ready to focus a telekinetic command to shove her into the sands. Should she ignore the sensation on her spine warning her to dodge, or simply not start running, her back would meet the sands with quite hard.

She was many things, but a fool was not one of them. She watched his display, and watched him rise. The command to shart running was an odd one, but as soon as his hand turned to point the palm at her she sprang to her feet fluidly and made a steep lunge to the left, her balance trained enough that she remained on her feet the entire time.

She eyed him cautiously as she drew into a low crouch, her weight shifting restlessly. Was he serious> From the looks of it, yes. If anything his eyes betrayed this was a game of some sort, one which he enjoyed and which if she didn't play right was going to hurt. Snorting, she wheeled around and sprang up again, taking off as ordered down the beach, her senses trying to keep track of where Vizza was.

Good reflexes, Vizza though to himself, but for how long can you keep up with... me? Not bothering to close his eyes this time, he felt himself submerged within the Force, feeling it holding away his aging negative effects, all the while making him as young as if he was on his youth's peak. With his whole body imbued on the Force, it didn't take him much to start galloping down the beach towards Tsuki at an incredible speed. After having recovered a good distance between them, he bent his legs, and took a great leap into the air, performing several spins as he flew and landed in front of Tsuki, his vibrant purple eyes locked on her deep golden ones.

Vizza had a purpose, despite not looking. All of this silly game had it, and despite the danger of resulting in injury or even serious injuries if he did not contain himself, he didn't mind it. He was sure Tsuki had it in her, and he had faith that she was a promissing student. So he did not bother with holding back too much, shooting forth a new Push with the lag of a mere second to his usual movements, so that she could feel the danger creeping up in her spine, so that she could recognize the Force within her, and start to make palpable progress. And the Push went forth, possibly sending her flying back if she did not move in time.

She could hear him behind her, and then she didn't. She cease of his footsteps gave her the time to slide to a halt and spin to see where he was, watching him spin through the air. She spun again as he landed, and the same tingling in her spine came, sending her diving to the ground and rolling back to her feets a fer meters away.

She didn't take a moment to think, instead relying on instinct as she often did. This time she didn't run, at least not away. Hoping she'd gained a slight advantage with her reaction and the likely surprise of her not fleeing she charged in, getting as close as she dared to slide to a halt and send a spray of sand up in her wake, aimed at him. A blinding factor to give a few momnets of a head start if it worked, without waited to see the results she was off again.

Oddly, she was starting to enjoy this as she kept her ears open for the sound of him. She didn't know that this was a game to him as well, despite the training purposes of it, but as her feets pounded the ground she found a faint smile settling across her lips. She was getting to work physically, but mentally as well when he caught up.

On the edge of the beach and well out of range of trouble Phisto has appeared, settling to the warm sand and watching with interest. Has Tsuki seen him she'd have know there was no intent on true malice in this game, though she doubted there was anyway. The beast wouldn't sit idly by if she was in real danger.

Vizza's hairless eyebrow rose through his forehead as Tsuki made way towards him; a bold move, in the opinion of the male Zabrak. The grin at the corner of his lips widened, parting his lips sligthly as he he chuckled at his Padawan's actions. Instinct was a good thing to have, and Vizza had his own well trained. Has she approached, he rose his left hand, preparing to send her flying, when she decided to skid in an attempt to blind him... Not badly thought, she had plenty of sand availabe for that to work. But just as Vizza had prepared to send her away, he simply shoved his hand forth, creating a telekinetic wall to prevent the sands from even getting close.

As she sprant away, Vizza simply ran forth after her, not minding to keep age at bay this time. After all, she was not that far yet. Sprinting, he kept up with her, the gap slowly but surely shortning; however, Vizza just wanted to keep her on the edge for now. Reaching out with the Force, he spoke to her. "Seek within yourself the that feeling that tells you to move out of the way. The feeling that tells you when to get out of the way. The tingling in your spine. That feeling is the Force... Feel it!"

His words reached her as it seemed her ploy with the sand failed, and she took a moment to mull over what he said. The Force was that sensation which told her to move? Mentally she reached inward to hunt for it as she kept her feet moving, searching for it as she went. It was quiet now, a low thrum almost which told her he was near. Not a threat yet, but a present potential of one.

"I think I got it." She tossed the words over her shoulder, sparing a quick glance to see where Vizza was in distance.

Vizza watched closely, and a while after he spoke with her, her presence in the Force expanded, like she was now aware of it. Sketching a smile on his lips, Vizza started to slow down the pace into a walk, hoping Tsuki would feel him more closely now, since she had started to take her first steps into the Force. Vizza took a deep breath, regulating his accelareted breathing. Well, that was faster than he had originally anticipated... Seemed like Tsuki had more talent in her than he had originally thought. "Okay, first part... complete!"

"Now, what you're going to do next is learn Control. With control, you can take the Force around you and focus it to empower yourself. One such example -- and a rather commonly used power -- is the power to enhance your speed. Try it. Reach into the Force, harness your body with it, and command it to fasten up your being."
