Talak Kar's training

[Will]

This one showed promise. ''Now, gather that energy in a point, and blast it from that point, like so.'' Lightning erupted from Ren's palm, striking the walls.

 

[Raider]

OOC: Force lightning? Isn't suppose to be a Sith Lord level skill?

*Channeling the raw power through him. Talak focused it all in the fingertips of his left hand, pointed toward opposite wall, and unleashed it. Small arches of blue-white lightning escaped from his hand. Fading out before they reached to wall and rised his hand to eyes. Studying closely the black burn marks that had appeared there.*

 

[Will]

((Sith knights have been using it for ages, so i guess not...))

Ren inspected the wall. ''Your proficiency in the area will improve with your control of the force. Now, another little test.'' Ren clicked, and, from a trapdoor in the floor, a bedraggled prisoner rose. ''Kill it.'' She ordered. ''Choke it with the force.''

 

[Raider]

*Much like the box before Talak extended his power over the prisoner. Wrapping like around him, than slidding most of it around the prisoner's throat. He tightened his Force grip, slowly cutting off the airway. The prisoner clawed that its neck, trying to loosen fingers that weren't there. Talak wondered if he should just break its neck and get it over with so he could continue his training. He decided against it, that would be failing the task he'd been given. After few more feeable efforts the prisoner fell to the floor, twitched a little, than lay still. Talak didn't give the dead a glance as his glare turned back upon his teacher.*

"When do I get to learn how to use a lightsaber?"

 

[Will]

Excellent, remorseless and impatient to learn. ''Now.'' She replied, throwing him a cortosis bar, shaped into a blade, but still rounded. She flicked her finger, and her left hand puppet moved in front of her, it's purple lightsabre hissing into life.

''Attack''

 

[Raider]

*Catching the bar of round metal. He held it with a two hand grip, than lunged for the puppet, the bar swinging upward and around to smash into the side of the puppet's head.*

 

[Will]

Ren twitched her left middle finger upwards and back. The puppets head moved back, the blade scratching across its face in a diagonal line. She flicked her fingers, the purple blade coming up and knocking the bar our the way. It lunged forward, the blade hissing in the air...

 

[Raider]

*He leap to the side to avoid the puppet's attack and bought his bar swinging through a low arc towards the puppet's left leg as it's lunge carried it past him.*

 

[Will]

The bar connected with the puppet, but it had no effect, bar another scratch. ''This is made of stronger stuff than that bar. Try harder! unleash everything into your attacks!'' The puppet turned, jumping into the air, and spinning down, the lightsabre forming a brilliant purple circle.

 

[Raider]

*Talak called upon the dark power at his command, feeding it into his physical stength and speed. His weapon rose up to a horizontal block that the purple saber smashed clean against. Batting the purple saber out of his way he went on the attack. His motions blurred slightly at the speed of his movement. He focused his attacked on its limps, trying to weak and slow its own movements.*

 

[Will]

Ren's hands and fingers moved faster. This one was definitley the best for combat so far. With one hand, she just about kept up with him, making sure the bar did not hit her puppet. She used a force push with her other hand, and told him to stop. Her puppets returned to their place. ''Are there any specific lightsabre forms you wish to learn?''

 

[Raider]

"I want to learn Juyo, and with a double-bladed lightsaber."

*Talak replied.*

 

[Will]

Ren nodded. ''Very well. First, then, you must know the form. Now, practice this opening stance.'' Ren made the first Juyo stance, holding a bar of metal the length of a double bladed lightsabre. ''After, make this movement.'' SHe showed a downward swipe, a simple agressive attack.

 

[Raider]

*Talak mirrored her stance and copied her downward stroke.*

 

[Will]

''Now, link that movement with these.'' Ren held a long bar, moving back and forth in a figure of eight, slicing rythimically. ''Then this.'' Ren added more and more movements, forming a comprehensive plethora of movements to use in attacks against foes.

 

[Raider]

*Talak watched, studying her movements and form closely before attempting to copy. He spun his own bar through the movements without pause. His control flaw, his motion a blur, as if he were already well trained in the form he was just learning.*

 

[Will]

''Excellent. You have learnt well. Now, we are to construct a lightsabre.'' She handed him a datapad with a list on. ''THis is waht you will need. Get them from the Sith requisition officer.''

 

[Raider]

*Talak took the datapad and after glancing for a moment at the list, turned and left the room without a word or backward glance at his master. He traveled down the hallways and passages of the Sith Academy. Ignoring other students and masters as he passed them, not asking for direction, that wouldn't do for a Sith, to ask help from others. When he reached the Sith requisition officer he passed the datapad in silence and said nothing when the parts were brought. Silenctly taking them and returning to his master.*

 

[Will]

Ren showed him to the workbench, and gave him a list of instructions. Building a lightsabre was a part to be done by the Sith acolyte alone. She left, to go and learn more of the ancient Sith, which she had recently begun to study.

 

[Raider]

*Reading the instructions carefully before starting, he began construction of his lightsaber. Periodically checking the instructions to make sure he was doing it right. He worked silently, focused only on the task placed before him. Connecting wires, placing the two crystals into the pipe that would be his saber. Drilling holes into the metal rod and placing buttons carefully into them.*

*Once finished he lefted the double-bladed lightsaber to eye level. Eyes taking in the plain handle and lack of detail. He placed one button and the left blade ignited with a snap-hisss. The right blade came to life second later. He studied the blades, trying to spot any problems with the blades that would show he made a mistake with putting the crystals into place. There none he could spot and so he deactived his lightsaber. Placed it upon the work bench and waited.*
