Affiliation: Custom
Ownership: Aidan Pryde
Intent: Mercenary Operations & Personal use
Model: Heavily Modified Talon-class Assault Drophaul/Freighter
Color: Dark Green and Black (where the Mustard Yellow and Grey are in the photo, respectively)
Name: N/A, usually referred to as “the Talon”
Dimensions: Length (100 m) Width (60 m) Height (30 m)(Note: I really suck at these and didn’t take much time to figure this out, if help is needed anywhere, it’s definitely here. Please feel free to refer to the image above and descriptions below and offer advice as to where I may be off)
Class: Assault Freighter
Crew: 1 Pilot (Optional: 1 Co-pilot/Top mount Gunner, 1-4x maintenance droids, & A.I. mainframe/integrated system)
Compliment: ~20 Soldiers (for ready drop only)*, 3-5 Crew (not including droids) w/5 standard years of consumables, 4 Speederbikes OR 1 Speeder, 1-3 Starfighters OR 1-2 Heavy vehicles/Tanks/Battlesuites OR 700-1000 ton Dropcrate/Bomb payload haul**
Note while it is capable of carrying multiple different kinds of heavy loads, it only does on a need basis. A typical haul/compliment consists of either nothing or his personal Starfighter and Speederbike.
*This number increases significantly if Drophaul is used to attach additional troop transport space.
**The number of vehicles and/or cargo depends greatly on their size and weight. Typically only one of the three options is a viable haul.
Armament: 2 Turret-mounted Tri-repeating Laser Cannons (one on each side of the lower engines), 1 Turret-mounted Omni-rack w/quick swap underneath cockpit (currently equipped: Tri-repeating Ion Cannon)*, 1 Turret-mounted Gatling Laser Cannon (mid-rear top, in-between the upper engines). 2 Rail Gun Mass-driver Cannons (one on each side of the ship’s spine, visible in photo by the opening that follows the neck of the ship back to the engines)**. Other than the one underneath the cockpit, all armaments in this craft are fairly concealed/ambiguous until in-use.
*Looks much bigger than the one shown in the image
**These are small enough to be suited to a ship of this size and are nowhere near the ones typically seen on capital-class ships.
Equipment:
-Five Turbo-Engines/Generators: 2x Dual upper/side, 2x Mass lower/side, 1x Main rear (Custom)
-Deflector Shield Generators (Military-grade)
-Heavy Armor Plating Shell (Military-grade)

Speed & Maneuverability: If there’s one thing this ship has going for it it’s an obscene amount of engine/generator power. Coupled with utilitarian/minimalistic “as needed” design, upwards of 70-80% of the ship’s actual weight lies in the engines (assuming no haul). Without a cargo load or any weapons/shields/power usage outside forward thrust and a single shield to reduce resistance, this craft is capable of keeping up with the straight flying speed of most interceptors, albeit with significantly less maneuverability. That being said, having five engines and a fairly tight design does give this ship a significant maneuvering edge for its size and class, even when weighed down by heavy loads. Despite this maneuverability, heavy loads and/or weapons/shield usage (that draw from the generators) still significantly reduce the craft’s speed due to the increased burden on the engines/generators.
Hyperdrive: Primary (0.5 Class) Secondary (10 Class)
Description: This ship has a military-grade design that revolves around it’s oversized engines, hauling capabilities, and assault level armaments. The original purpose of the ship (before the prototype was scrapped and later sold on the black market) was to bust through the heaviest of enemy lines, blockades, or seiges to drop transport and haul persons, cargo, and/or vehicles to heavily fortified planets and locations. From there it would either be tasked with serving operationally for the long-haul or (more frequently) breaking its way back out for more hauls. As a result it had to be given a variety of ways to deal with numerous threats and an omni-rack for quickly swapping and hauling a variety of cargo. The way the engineers went about this, was to forget about the idea of a modular cargo space design entirely, and instead give it a nonexistent “belly” with fittings for any number or type of cargo(s). Thus the Talon-class was born.
Perhaps the most interesting part of this craft (aside from the engines) is the underbelly. Not only is it capable of attaching and detaching any number of cargo and/or vehicles quickly and efficiently for haul, but it is also capable of vacuum sealing this cargo through the top (of the cargo) and bottom (of the ship). This allows a means for pilots to enter the attached vehicles and access the cargo being hauled (assuming the crate itself has a top hatch). The attachable arms also easily fold up and to the sides so that they are out of the way when operating the underbelly’s other mount functions.
Due to the nature of its minimalist design to allow for it to maintain its assault features, heavy armor, mass engines, and drop haul, the inside of the actual ship is fairly cramped (comfortably fitting roughly only 3-5 people while around 20 can stand/sit near the loading ramp for quick drop) despite its size.
In addition to its loading ramp, this ship features a double top-hatch that allows for escape and mid-flight droid repairs.
