Just want to clear something up here right quick. Legends canon is a separate canon from new Canon. Sure writers/creators can draw on Legends for inspiration, but as far as the new timeline it should be assumed it's all noncanon if it's not in new Canon as well, or what the admins have expressed stated as canon (which is mostly in regards to fairly common EU species like Zeltrons, Hapans, Arkanians, etc.). That's sort of the point of the whole blank slate thing this timeline is about in regards to canon.

That said, I feel like I should remind everyone that the canonicity of Fett being a Mandalorian Clan is uncertain. All we know is that Jango Fett was from Concord Dawn, a Mandalorian colony (one that is totally wrecked during the movie era btw). Also, the spelling of vhett/Fett is mostly irrelevant as 99% of Mando'a is now non/Legends Canon.

You can still be a Mandalorian and a Fett, but I feel like there is some misinformation and confusion that needs to be cleared up. Just be aware the only canon reference to Fett being Mandalorian was another Mando going "he wasn't a Mando"

You clearly missed the point. Fett being a Mandalorian clan is not a confirmed canon thing. Doesn't matter if you are related to the movie characters or not. You can be a Fett, but Fett being anything remotely Mandalorian isn't confirmed, and all we have is supposition at this point whether or not people with the name Fett are, in fact, Mandos.
