The city of Sundari was booming with life. In the royal palace, a festival had occurred, well it was still going on. The new Mand'alore, Ral Vizla, had just given a wonderful speech to the people about their triumphs in raising the Dominion to what it was today. There was then a lively party in the halls of the palace where many of the officials and honored guests were drinking and conversing over how things were going. But one guest couldn't stand to hear any more about politics or government. Her name was Evelyn Tenebris. She'd had too much of everything and quite frankly was getting annoyed at getting insulted. See, Evelyn was not a Mandalorian nor did she even have the faintest trace of Mandalorian blood in her. While her family and clan had always been good friends, she was typically an outcast when she visited Sundari. The only reason she came was to be with Ral. They'd been together in a relationship for nearly five years. However, it was clear that not everyone thought so highly of their coupling as she thought. That's why she needed to step outside to get some air.
Still wearing her lovely blue royalty gown she'd bought specifically for this event she made her way to the balcony and peered over the edge to look at the great city before her. In her hands she was now on her third glass.....third? Fourth? Oh dear. She was tipsy already. She sighed and tried to let the cold air calm her nerves. She hated trying to be so social and likable. It wasn't like her at all. But she wasn't doing it for Ral like some woman might think. She wasn't in a relationship with him for the money or for the fame. Five years ago no one could have expected he'd be the next Mand'alore. She loved him for who he was. That's why she was on her best behavior not to embarrass him. Too bad no one else seemed to give her more than a passing glance. Half breed, outsider, whore. Her heart ached for comfort. Words could be so cruel.
