Nier raised his left hand and caught the Lightsaber easily. Even though he was not good with most forms of technology, he did notice that the weight of the contraption was far, far lighter than that of Vergessenheit.
As a weapons forger, Nier had an interest in finding out as to how weapons were made, and was able to quickly get the hand of making a specific weapon simply by looking at the a weapon's characteristics. Of course, those were the Branch weapons, not technologically advanced Lightsabers.
Raising the light weapon up to his eyes, he looked down at the hilt as one would to check how straight a blade was, and took in every groove, button, and the wear of the weapon. When finished at looking at the blade, he swung it around a few times, his strikes nothing more than a blur to most normal individuals, he was able to swing far more quickly than with his own weapon. Finally, after a few practice swings, he raised his left hand out with the Lightsaber in hand, and activated it, as he saw his Master do minutes before.
Nier stared at the shimmering light that radiated from the hilt of the Lightsaber, and digging something from inside his cloak, he tossed it into the air before a strike followed by light slice it in two. When half of a piece of fruit landed, the area where it was cut cauterized, Nier knelt down and picked up one of the burnt pieces and took a look at it, just after deactivating the Lightsaber.
In deep thought, Nier pocketed the fruit and turned to Christian, walked over, and bowed deeply, both of his arms raised with the Lightsaber in both of his palms, which were outstretched to the Master Jedi, "I thank you, Master, for allowing me to take a look at such a weapon."
The young man's voice was practically brimming with respect, having seen such a thing for the first time, as well as actually getting to wield it (somewhat), "This Lightsaber is an incredibly light object, is made of a number of different alloys and materials, and I would have to guess it is extremely complex on the inside to be able to produce a Blade of Light."
Nier, still bowing low, simply continued, "As for the actual blade, it is somehow made of an energy that seems capable of going through a large number of objects, including metals if I am correct, due to how easily it went through the Fruit and the blade's own properties. It is also capable of cauterizing wounds due to the heat emitted, allowing one to remove limbs and still have a high chance to allow that individual to live, at the expense of the limb, of course."
Slowly lifting himself from the bow, Nier looked at his Master, "However... I noticed that while the Lightsaber is worn, it seems to be missing the feeling that weapons as a whole possess. . ."
Raised as a member of Branch Licht, Nier and other children were taught to never hold back in a battle, and that every weapon was one that would aid the wielder in battle, to remove those from your path, should they stand in your way. This lead to the creation of Vergessenheit, a weapon meant only to kill, while at the same time, it was Nier's sword, companion, and trusted friend.
The Lightsaber, however, seemed to be lacking the feeling that it is a weapon as a whole, but feels as if it was something else... He simply could not place his finger on it..
Nier's eyes widened slightly, and he whispered just loud enough for a mouse to hear, "A symbol... A symbol of the Jedi Order.."
The Jedi Order, as far as he knew, stood for Honor, Peace, and Compassion. So the owners of the Lightsabers must be something along the lines of Guardians for these things.. At least, that is what he suddenly conjured into his mind, and it was his opinion..
