The Jedi Temple, Ajan Kloss
It hadn't been long since the Holonet announcement that'd sent waves through the Jedi. The revelation that Oren, newly-appointed Jedi Master, had been arrested by the Sector Rangers in relation to the recent events. Why Sector Rangers would be stupid enough to believe a Jedi would do something like that, Nara would never know, but it didn't help her estimation that they'd picked on Oren. Oren. She'd met flies that could be more harmful than him.
In the time since the Holonet broadcast, Nara had marched around the temple in a fit of urgent anger. Anyone that she knew was a knight, or looked important enough to be a master, she talked to. Or rather, talked at. The other padawans she knew, she whispered urgently with them. Nara hadn't felt this driven in a long, long time. Every fibre of her being was alive and on fire.
They had gathered in one of the halls of the Temple. Whoever she could find. Whoever she could yell into coming in. She wanted to cause enough commotion to get people listening. To get the Knights, the Masters, even the Grand Master to get off their butts and do something!
"Master Oren has been taken by the Rangers and we need a plan. We need something. What good are we to anyone if we can't even look after one of our own?" she asked to the crowd that'd assembled. Her face was still blazing red, cheeks glowing. They hadn't stopped since the broadcast. She was stood on a seat, giving her a little more height.
"Master Oren is what the Jedi are meant to be. I can see Knights that've worked with him and fought with him. I can see Padawans who've trained and learned from him. I can see Jedi who would not be here if Master Oren hadn't brought them into the Order." As she said this, she looked around the crowd, making eyes with anyone she could, deliberately seeking out those she knew Master Oren had helped.
"He is the best of us. Whenever we had issues, we always knew we could go to him. Whenever someone needed some help with their studies or an extra hand on a mission, he was always there to offer a hand. So, what are we going to do?" She made sure to shout that last part. "What action can we take? The longer we leave him in that cell to rot, the more of a joke we become. If we can't get off our asses and do something for him, what good are we? How can we help others if we can't look after ourselves? Every second we waste is just letting the galaxy show what little use we are, and lets those responsible grow more powerful and out of reach. We must do something."
With that, Nara stepped down from the seat and stood, folding her arms to the crowd.
General reaction/planning/arguing thread in response to the Holonet broadcast about Oren's arrest. Jedi only, please, if that isn't obvious.
