The Dishoam Order

" The gift of our god is not to be used to change his world, but only to seek enlightenment.
" Saren Volke

" One day, the one who may remove himself from the gift shall lead us all into perfection."
Saren Volke

" The Heretics know not what they do, but only what they are capable of." Saren Volke

Location: Onderon

The Dishoam order is an order of force sensitives that are bound together under the tutelage of one man, Saren Volke. Saren Voke is a preacher who is spreading the word of the divine. At first glance the Dishoam order looks like mild mannered group of Religious fanatics. However any group of religous fanatics is dangerous if you anger them enough. The Dishoam order beleives that the Force is a gift given to those who must better themselves in order to lead others to the gates of the divine.

However, whenever they see someone using to force to adversely affect the universe, such as moving something, or affecting the mind of another, they are to report the heresy to a higher ranking member of the Dishoam Order. Thats when things get tricky.

The Dishoam order is not just your regular religious faction, they have a secret sect. Hidden within the Dishoam order, is a guild of Assasins, who seek out the heretics, and if they deem them guilty kill them. The order of assasins cannot kill a Jedi on sight per see, they need to actually see that said individual use the force to change the fate of another, or manipulatte objects around them, such as using force push or force pull. Also, the Dishoam Assassins, while force sensitive, do not use the force to do anything other than augment there bodies. If they do, and get caught, they are excommunicated, and executed.

The Dishoam Church is a religious group that believes in the unification of ones body with the force, and that only through augmenting yourself to a state of perfection will you be allowed peace in the afterlife. However, they also belive that using the force to adversely affect the galaxy is Herecy, a crime punishable by death. Using things such as force push and pull are considered affecting the Galaxy. The religious sect of the order follows strict teachings, and are awaiting the coming of the messiah, a person who can completely remove himself from the force and thus become the perfect being in the eyes of the divine.

The Assasins guild connected to it has a slightly less strict set of rules, as they are considered to be the ghostly hand of the creator, performing the wills of the Churchs leader, The Vanguard of the Force. They are to perform tasks to keep neutrality, hundown heretics, and thusly the guardians of the order. They are allowed to carry Lightsabers, but as they are the weapons of the hertics they are not permitted to build their own, they must take one from a fallen heretic. The only force powers they are allowed to use are ones that effect themselves, such as force jump, speed, and strength. Also they are allowed to use their force powers to imbue their sacred blades with their own force essence, making them light saber resistant. Once this is done however, no one is allowed to use the blade except the creator of it. There are no regulations on armor or projetile weaponry, though it is a rule that they cannot bring a foul light on the order. They are a secret sect, and are to remain as such.

The Dishoam are allowed to carry Blasters, Blades, and Lightsabers, though they do not learn specific lightsaber forms.

Dishoam Assassins are often "Heretics" and it is the Dishoam code to do whatever neccesary to complete a mission. Saren said so himself as he feels keeping the order and it's teachings alive is more important than following the tennets. What use is following them if death is imminent.

The Dishoam can wear any type of armor they find.

The Dishoam Ranks or as Follows

Dishoam Initiate
Dishoam Pupil
Dishoam Disciple
Dishoam Cleric
Dishoam Preist.

The Dishoam Assassin Ranks are as follows

Dishoam Crusader
Dishoam Hunter
Dishoam Slayer
Dishoam Spectre
Dishoam Assassin

The Dishoam order is funded from donations to the church, Mercenary missions, Assassination Missions, and general looting from both forms of missions.

The Dishoam Church:

The Dishoam Church is a lone Building standing in the walled City of Iziz. It is built very similarly to a Catholic Church, with pews lined up facing the stage. The churches walls are adorned with the sayings of Saren Volke, and pictures of the Dishoam God, Remus. The force radiates from the building, as all the majority of the members are force sensitive, The priests are all trained in basic Combat by Saren himself, with Rukia assisting him frequently. Weapons adorn the walls of the church, the majority of them ceremonial blades imbued with the force, supposedly all relics of Sarens Existance. A memorial to Karel Volke, Sarens fathers, lay behind in the priests quarters.

Beneath the church lies a series of tunnels that act as the Catacombs to Onderon. Few know of their existance. Within these catacombs lie many chambers, holding the weaponry and main monetary funds of the order. Mission assignments, armor, and everything regarding the Assassins and Mercenaries lie hidden from the general public. It is in these catacombs that Saren and Rukia train the assassins to use the force, in ways that are heretical to the basic church. The priests are forbidden to go into the catacombs, and the Dark side energy that radiates from it keeps the majority of the priests in compliance.

Dishoam Fighting Style
:

The Dishoam specilize in a fighting style similiar to a combination between Tai Jutsu, and Command sambo. The lighter recruits are trained to imbue there body with strength and speed, and assaul targets with quick precise strikes. Larger recruits are taught how to use their god given strength and abilities to neutralize opponents without killing them. All the initiates are trained to augment their body with the force, though Saren Refuses to teach people how to effect the world around him. This task falls on Rukia. Lightsaber construction is a trade known only by Saren, and he refuses to divulge the knowledge, as he assumes that to use a weapon such as a lightsaber is to rely on it. Instead he teaches the initiates how to imbue an item with the force so that it is resistant to Lightsaber strikes.

I, personally, found Boli didn't have the time, and so I asked Enishi; he did it for me.

But surely if they think that using the Force to have an effect on something they cannot use any power or manifestation of the Force without becoming "heretics", as even sensing something in the Force will affect the way they react to their surroundings. I mean it's a nice idea for a faction, but I think if they really did believe that they'd have to not be Force sensitive (or at least not use their Force sensitivity) at all, and as such would struggle using weapons like lightsabers, so as to not become heretics, otherwise they'd be hypocrites.

Religion is full of hypocrites, he's just following the trend.

It implies something other than themselves. They can use the force to better themselves, just not change the natural order of things outside their own chain of command, IE their bodies. The force is a gift given to them by the divines so they can lead the way for the thousands of others looking for answers in life. OR some BS like that.
