I joined it but what are we going to do with it other than possibly attract more people through it?

Maybe it could be like the Fanon Wiki that has brought in a few members...

Sorry, but I won't be joining this, unless I make a different Facebook account.

Why not? It could be great fun hanging out on Facebook.

It just screams "Look how much of an nerd I am!"

Though Bac isn't really the right person to speak.

I don't exactly parade what I do around in public or shout "OMG I write SW I'm so cool look at me every1!!!!!"
No, just that you're an Eagle Scout or whatever. That is MUCH cooler.

But I thought all the popular people were on Facebook. At least it's that way at my school.

There's a great deal of respect that comes with being an Eagle Scout and I have absolutely no problems with everyone knowing about it. It's a major accomplishment for anyone considering that only 4% of all people that join the Boy Scouts earn (keyword) it. Obviously some people, though, can't look past stereotypes in order to see things that people like myself and others have accomplished.

Society tends to think so too.

1. Young society. With adult society, it's a different story entirely. If an employer is interviewing people for a job, narrows his choices down to two candidates who have the exact same qualifications and experience and one of them is an Eagle Scout, it will very likely go to the Eagle Scout.

2. I find this ironic coming from you, considering you tend to be vocal about how the majority of society is ignorant and has no clue what they're talking about. What's the difference here?

You know what they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Scouts in aus basically go on trips and get smashed every day. Doesn't seem so bad to me.
