The Grand Tournament -- Take Two

*It was a brisk day on the city planet of Coruscant. Not as busy as always, but you could expect something different was about to happen, just by the feel of the wind against your neck. The abandoned Jedi Temple had now grown the attention of a legion of civilians, as a sign was now hanging from the entrance, blood red letters dripping from the parchment.*

*The announcement was done in such a controversial way, it was placed all over the news. You cannot do something like that to a relic such as the Jedi temple, and expect to go unnoticed. However, this was to be expected, and planned. A day later, a pedestal was placed in front of the temple, holding a large golden trophies, remembering the past winners of the tournament with their names engraved in the side. Dexon Kyjar, Mandalore, all the way to the latest champion, Darman.

Standing beside the trophy was a large sign-up board, detailing the rules and requirements. Only one requirement and only one rule. You have to be able to fight, you make the rules. All that was left now was to draw in the best fighters from around the land and the plan would be complete.*

[Cyril Khan]

Cyril Khan stepped up to the registration table and looked over the forms. After a few moments he picked up the pen and signed his name and put down the other required information. When he had finished he stepped away and browzed around the room. He was slightly interested in the trophies and other thing in the place, but he wanted to see what the other guys looked like. After all, he was the first to the sign up sheet.

OOC: I hope Jedi can come to Coruscant for this...lol.

Kogasu was walking slowly towards the Jedi Temple, his home. He was covered by a large black cape, and he masked his own force sense making him invisible to other force sensitive beings. As he approached the tournament sign up, a wide grin came across his face, finally getting a chance to fight.

He came to the pedestal and looked at the trophies, reading every name until he came to the last winner. Darman? Kogasu looked blankly ahead as he remebered the Mandalorian who had known as he was training under the Mandalorians. After a few moments, Kogasu signed his name then turned quickly.

Kogasu looked around, then upon seeing nobody present crouched. After a moment, Kogasu dashed off out of the temple, speed unmatched for any being. Where he was a few seconds before was dust swirling in the wind and his light black cape being carried into the sky.

Hayvan felt ready to fight. He had just been promoted to knight but he really didn't get combat training in his training under Master Xiantos. He had won two matches before but it wasn't completely his fault. One had a heart attack right before Hayvan would have chopped off his legs. The other was based solely on a technicality similar to the one that enabled Darman to win the grand tournament before. So he walked into the former temple and signed up.

ooc: No offense, but why the hell would there be an RP style signup? Sith Lords, mercenaries, and Jedi will just all walk up without killing each other and sign a slip of paper to enter the tournament? "Yeah, I'll just set aside my burning hatred toward the whole of the Jedi Order and enter a tournament with them..."

Walking briskly along the streets of Coruscant, Jedi Master Jar Todur paced ahead of himself, walking towards the temple that once belonged to the Jedi. Of course, masking his presence to any unknown Todur slowly looked upon the sheet that presented names of fighters that had already authorized themselves to be joined within the tournament. Excelent, a time to show my worth, I may be no good at this sort of stuff but still.

Staring at the paper, pondering whether or not to sign up he finally signed his name firmly upon the sheet. On a turn of the heel, a flicker of hope, like a candle still flickering after many years shone within Todur. This may be one of his last chances at something like this. He would of course o his best and work. The path that stood before Todur was unknown, yet the path that laid behind him only showed dust still swirling where Todur had once stood.

Snake walked up to the Grand Tournament Sign up board. It had been a while since she had participated in one of these. She jotted down The Snake Shadow and left before any attackers could get her.

*Ken walked calmly forward, reading all of the people who'd already signed up. He chuckled before signing his own name down and walking away, his sunglasses on as always.*

Who'd have thought that Mandalore the Implacable would've come to Coruscant, the Jedi Temple no less, for peaceful reasons? Well maybe peaceful is a bit of a lie. He had come for battle. But these battles were organized, and they weren't just against Jedi; they were against all sorts of opponents!

Mandalore approached the sign-up list, pulled forth a pen and wrote his name in large, bold, but surprisingly neat, letters. At the bottom of the sign-up sheet, the simple word "Mandalore" was scrawled. He wondered if they'd believe it was Mandalore himself, but then again, past Mandalores had fought in the Great Tournament. The great Mandalorian searched through the names on the list, then went his own way, leaving the list. The fights would start soon.
