The holocrons of the praetorian guard.

Palpatine era training regimen.

Origins:

In the final years of the first Sith Eternal, the Emperor himself commissioned the creation of a new order of elite protectors. The Praetorian Guard, they were called, handpicked from among the most skilled warriors in his ranks and trained to an unparalleled level of proficiency.

The training regimen for the Praetorians was exhaustive and brutal, but the results were undeniable. These soldiers were the finest the Sith Empire had ever produced, and their loyalty to the Emperor was absolute.

Knowing that the secrets of the Praetorian Guard could be dangerous in the wrong hands, the Emperor ordered the creation of a Holocron containing the entirety of their training program.

For years, the Holocron remained safely within the confines of the Sith Eternal's most secure vaults. But one day, an ambitious acolyte managed to bypass the security protocols during the fall of sidious and stole the Holocron in the chaos, intending to sell its secrets to the highest bidder, though he was a fool, the jedi had no interest in it, understandably, and most non sensitive folk considered it a worthless piece of junk, a glorified paper weight, only fellow sith and the truly scholarly understood its significance.

The acolyte knew that the Holocron was too valuable to remain whole. If anyone managed to get their hands on it, they potentially, if in the right hands, would have access to the creation of skilled, perfectly loyal warriors.

And so the acolyte split the Holocron into three separate parts, each containing a different section of the training program. One he kept for himself, hoping to master the Praetorian techniques for his own benefit. The other two he sold to the highest bidders he could find.

Appearance:
Each holocron is the smaller piece to the puzzle, triangular in shape with gold trims, it lightly pulses when a darksider holds it.

Rumors of location:

One of these fragments eventually made its way to Coruscant's lower levels, where it fell into the hands of an auctioneer (thread in the works: here ). The other was discovered by sith champion cremek candorus on nal-hutta, and is currently in his possession (gained during the following thread: here ).

As for the acolyte who split the Holocron, he fled into the outer rim, his fate is unknown, though the stories say he met an unfortunate end in the belly of a sarlacc pit..

Intent:
Personal or site lore (whichever is more appropriate): I really wanted to make something with more flavor for cremek to pursue, and figured it would be cool to make this a plot point for cremek and others who are interested in some indiana jones toomfoolery, I intend the third one to take one or two threads to even discover the general area it COULD be, providing much potential for threads of all sorts, and even longer for them to actually be used, should cremek manage to present them to the dark lord.

Sorry for the late review on this. Some of the article is not consistent with what we know in canon regarding Praetorians.

In the final years of the first Sith Eternal, the Emperor himself commissioned the creation of a new order of elite protectors.

...and their loyalty to the Emperor was absolute.

So, the Praetorian Guards existed before even the First Order existed, they have been seen as early as with Moff Gideon's Imperial Remnant (9 ABY). Lets not forget Praetorians were also hanging around with Snoke for years. They were not exclusive to the Emperor.

Knowing that the secrets of the Praetorian Guard could be dangerous in the wrong hands, the Emperor ordered the creation of a Holocron containing the entirety of their training program.

Wouldn't making a holocron create the possibility of them the infomation get in the wrong hands, as opposed if knowledge died with the creator?

Also, the Emperor really wasn't known to be a preservationist. This is the same person who ordered imperial worlds be put to the torch in a contingency plan in the event of his death because they failed him.

When you take these factors into account, the background doesn't seem to make sense.

But the lore isn't unsalvageable.

My suggestion would be that instead of having this be a holocron that Palpatine made: I would instead associate it with a past figure (whose name is lost to history) who created a template for elite guards who wear red armor and have this elite harsh training.

Thoughts?
