Nal Hutta: Palace of the Vesajlics

The morbidly obese figure of Nor'baal Vesajilic Diori reclined in his throne, watching as his Brothers Yur'baal and Mur'baal wriggled into their seats. Irik, Nor'baals son, and Hirik, his nephew where also present in the throne room. The usual entourage and retinue, menageries, guards and smugglers idled in the room, all awaiting the arrival of Gordola the Hutt, at personal invitation from Nor'baal, Master of the Vesajilics.

Approaching the Hutt from his right, Nor'baals Majordomo leant down and whispered ''Excellency, his magnificence Gordola as arrived.''

<''Show him in.''> replied Nor'baal in booming Huttese.

The meeting had begun.

Destro, Blake and John had taken up positions along the side of the throne room. Destro having met Nor'baal through some contacts he'd acquired through his friendship to Torc. Destro had an eye for a profitable partnership, and quickly needed prove himself a worthy ally to Nor'baal, so he was brought along with Blake and John as security for the meeting. John was in his armor as always, completely covered head to toe, his rifle across his legs, and pistol in his holster. Blake toted his shotgun like a toy, and Destro had an assault carbine leaned against the wall next to him, however, his twin pistols were where they always were, in their holsters and ready for drawing. He didn't expect any serious trouble, but, it always paid to be ready. He played with a thermal detonator before him, tossing it into the air before him like a ball. He looked almost nonchalant about it, playing with the high explosive like it was not even dangerous. He was chuckling to himself as he waited for the other people to enter.

Seraphina for her part was fitting in as anything but a guard. She was dressed as a slave and wasn't even armed. A close eye would note that she didn't even seem to be keeping an eye on everyone, though of course she was. A large part of this was done with the Force; she had masked her own signature so that any other Force sensitives wouldn't know that she was special. She of course had a lightsaber hidden on her person, but it was incorporated into her dancer's garb so that no one knew that. She was ready for trouble but not really expecting it. She kept her head down, not making eye contact as she moved through the room.

She came to a stop after weaving her way unobtrusively through the room beside Nor'Baal, leaving ten feet between them for now as she sat smoothly on the ground. She kept her eyes low and simply waited, for all the world looking simply like a slave waiting to be called to do something or another. With the use of peripheral vision and the Force, she had a good idea of where everyone was in the room and should be able to sense trouble before it threatened the Hutt she was sitting near. That Hutt's family were a secondary priority; she was probably close enough to help them if needed as well. She wouldn't be leaving her post here until called or really needed, however.

Gordolla the Hutt was not one to stand on principle, and unlike many Hutt's, he was not excessively fond of ceremony, pomp or lavish gaudiness. He liked to think himself a Hutt of class, his insatiable greed lied in the accumulation of vast wealth, not the display of flowery uniforms and jeweled outfits; he let his manner and power speak for him, rather than his showmanship.

Thus it was that he slid his behemoth form into the meeting room, followed by his Dressellian Chief of Security, Tharrat, his Bith Majordomo, Phimn Kaar and a host of armed and armored guards moving alert and in loose formation behind him. Around the edges of the room was a ring of armed sentients, likely a mix of smugglers and hired guns, and a lone out-of-place slave girl sat in an otherwise empty square of floor, seeming to stare absent-minded around the room. The rooms center point, however, was a group of five copious and grotesque Hutt's slouching on raised dais', the largest and most grotesque of which sat in the heart of the group.

Gordola waited to begin proceedings as his Majordomo announced him: "Presenting the powerful and marvelous Hutt, His Eminence, Gordola!" Phimn boomed in Huttese.

Nor'baal listened as his guest introduced himself before speaking once more.

<''Welcome to my Palace Gordola. It has been a while since I had a guest appear so well armed.''> said the Hutt, gesturing to Gordola's security. <''It is good to see you take precautions, not like they would make much of a difference, but, it's a telling gesture. I have a business proposition for you, two in fact.>''

He paused, before continuing <''I have recently negotiated a contract with Mandal Motors, in which all sales of the Ootman Class Shuttles and Seey'bark Transports to Hutt's must go through me. I am willing to offer you 50% of the profits of such a contract, but am willing to see what you will give for this honour. Furthermore, I have discovered a spice mine that is in trouble near Kessel. I propose that in return for 25% of the profits, you shall provide the labour force, with me providing everything else, and you also shall assist me in ensuring the....transfer....of the mine goes smoothly, and is signed over to us.>''

Gordola dismissed the petty display of power from Nor'baal, it would not do well to rise to such trivial remarks, nor would it come off well if Nor'baal was testing him. Regardless, he merely gave a Hutts approximation of a smile before addressing the younger Hutt directly.

"That is most generous of you, wise Nor'baal. In return, I am willing to make you the offer of partnership and a 50% share in all of my future endeavors on the planet Nar Shadda, as well as consideration before others and with more favour for partnership on off-world deals." Gordola was not one to sell himself short by any means, and he would push the deal where he could. "However, this is no triviality, despite the comparatively small size of my current venture, Nar Shaddaa is to be the base of my power, and I hope to grasp it one day soon, and your decision to accept my offer will only grow more and more lucrative with time."

"However, due to the considerable promise of yield - at least in my eyes - that this investment from you would in turn benefit you; I ask that you... sweeten the pot... so to speak." He spread his arms and waited for a counter offer and his acquaintances remarks before proposing his own wishes.

The great Hutt throught for a while, allowing a palpable silence to engulf to room as he did so, before finally he pierced it with a deep booming laugh, and spoke.

<''You are clever Gordola, clever indeed. I accept your deal, and I sweeten the post, increasing your share of the Kessel profits up to 40%.''>

Nor'baal allowed Gordola time to consider, before finally saying <''Talking of which, we have a mine to take.....''>

Gordola stroked his flabby folds that passed for a chin, the Kessel profits would go a long way, but he wondered if it would really make up for partnership in all of his future dealings on Nar Shaddaa, considering his plans there.

"One more thing, if I may be so bold. As we are dealing with MandalMotors, I would like a ship for personal uses; call it... a measure of good faith." Gordola's baritone rasp sank another octave with excitement at the prospect of what this deal would do for him; and he was ready to strike it if his terms were met, he had to let Nor'baal know he was no push-over, and that he was not cheap.

"If my requests are met, then yes, we have a mine to take." Gordola finished with a throaty chuckle.

After thinking for a considerable while, Nor'baal spoke <''Agreed! You shall have such a vessel!''>

Nor'baal waited, seeing if his guest and now business partner had anything else he wished to say.

"Excellent! I'm pleased we could reach an accord." Gordola cooed, lacing his fingers and motioning his majordomo to make a note of the details of the agreement.

"Now, how do you intend to take this mine?" He had already set up an inventory of his forces ready to begin planning.

<''A simple attack, my ship drops off troops, and we two lead them into the mine. We secure it, and force their managers to sign over the mine to us.''> said the Hutt, before gesturing to a new figure.

<''My man here shall also be joining us.''>

(OOC - Will we actually be having the take-over IC or just mention it?)

"Excellent, simple and effective." Gordola had his majordomo forward his retinue for the mission to Nor'baal, consisting of around fifty armed grunts equipped for almost all foreseeable incidents, and geared for infiltration. "As long as he does not do anything stupid, that will not be an issue." Gordola was referring to Nor'baal's msucle "When shall we get things underway?"

Burai had been behind Nor'baal on a balcony, where he could see the meeting, listening intently on the meeting below him. Slung around him was an assault carbine, fitted with a scope for those possible hairy situations that seemed to arise quite often when dealing with other Hutts. Seeing that the meeting had gone decently so far, he decided to move down, next to his master, just as they plan the attack on the spice mine. He looked deep into the eyes of the other Hutt. "I am no street thug," he said, after his comment.
(I vote we do it IC. That sounds like a blast.)

Gordola was not particularly bothered by the mans outburst, but for sake of appearance, he had to show Nor'baal that he was not weak and would not tolerate poor treatment of a lack of a respect if their relationship was to be mutually beneficial. "I should hope not, nor do I hope that your actions are as idiotic as your tongue." He spat with a displeased expression before turning back to Nor'baal and resuming his cordial face of jollity and greed "You just can't find the people these days, unless you want to choose between blasters and brains. Now, are we ready to get things underway?"

Nor'baals eyes narrowed with thinly veiled contempt as he scowled at Gordola <''Never disrespect my men again you pathetic excuse for a bantha trader. I can make you, and I can break you just as easy.''> he spat.

<''We will go when all of my Minions have been briefed.>

OOC: Ie: when they have all posted!

OOC - of course, forgot about the other posters.

Gordola did not show visual expression, there were times prove ones pride and times to prove ones intelligence; now was the latter. He simply ignored the first point, filing it away for future reference, it did not bother him - he didn't concern himself with the views of others, as long as they didn't damage business - but it did make a bad impression, which would affect his dealings. Nor'baal might well pay for that remark.

"I will see to it that the same is done with mine." All pretense and guile dropped from his voice, it suited him that Nor'baal had chosen to underestimate him, it would only make things so much easier.

Having thus far simply sat and listened quietly, while using the Force to keep a tight watch on everyone besides the Hutts themselves, Seraphina finally rose from the ground. Preparations were about to be made for assaulting the mine, and there was a good chance she would see some action at last. She would likely have to disguise herself, but that would only work in Nor'Baal's favor as it would let him show the other Hutt that he commanded Sith in his 'army', while still letting her do her job of being a hidden guard. She waited until after Nor'Baal had briefed his men and used the end of his speech to signify that she had been dismissed. Anyone watching should assume that it was a predetermined signal of some kind for her to go and get him - well, something.

As soon as she was out of sight, she signalled another slave girl to bring in some refreshments while she quickly changed. Her slave outfit was not removed; she might need it in a hurry later on. Instead she covered up with black clothing; pants and a shirt that covered everything below the neck, and then a head covering that covered everything save her eyes, once her hair was tucked into it. Finally, her dual lightsaber was pulled to her hand with the Force and she started to walk through the complex.

She re-entered the room through the main doors instead of the side one she had exited from; she needed the disguise to be complete, and what Sith would enter through a slave door? She didn't come to a stop until she was a mere ten feet from the imposing bulk of the two Hutts, and anyone who dared stand in her way she sent a withering glare at until they moved. And if that didn't work, then a hand was held up so that lightning could crackle menacingly between her fingers. She was carrying her lightsaber in her other hand; obviously getting in her way was a fools errand. Her imposing walk towards the Hutts was intended to make Gordola nervous, especially if he looked at Nor'Baal and saw that for his part, that Hutt wasn't the least bit worried. Of course, the reason was that he knew very well who Seraphina was and what she was about, but Gordola did not.

Once she finally came to a stop her eyes swept dismissively over Gordola before moving to Nor'Baal himself. Her voice rang out; there was no need to disguise it as she never spoke to anyone while in her guise as a slave. "You called, my Lord?" Again, a statement meant to make Nor'Baal look good. Perhaps she should have come out like this before the negotiations, but then Gordola may not have wanted to deal at all. Her eyes then moved to Burai, her eyes twinkling with mischief. She was Sith, it was in her nature to cause chaos, right? "Who's the street thug?"

Burai stared at the Sith and smirked, "Burai Valisi. Personal guard and handler of Nor'baal the Hutt. And you are?" he asked, in a low tone, showing little emotion. He saw the woman's remark like that of a school yard bully, who fed off the negative responses of those around them. Petty remarks like such were ignored by Burai. The only reason he reacted to Gordola was that his remark put Burai's intelligence and expertise into question. He knew that it would shake the agreement between the two Hutts but to see that Nor'baal was on his side made him more content. Nor'baal had practically raised him since he was taken out of custody on Tattooine. Granted in return, Burai had to swear fealty to him. In doing so, Burai was trained to be a deadly asset to his master. He had the utmost respect for the Hutt and saw him as a father figure.

Destro chuckled inwardly, the inner animal, his darker side, cackling at the exchange between the two hutts, and then the thug's attempt to distinguish himself from the others. How many he'd killed that said the same thing, he'd lost count. His smile, seemed off, like something was missing from his point of view. This would cause two points of view at Destro, his darker side calculated. They'd either think him stupid, or incompetent, or. Or, they'd know that something was definitely either different, or wrong with Destro. Blake's impassive look only added to this, the fact that he toted a shotgun, a full, elongated, flechette shotgun, like it was a toy because of his size, not helping this. His darker side, often referring to itself as Shade, wanted to see if anyone could figure it out with these few hints. When the Sith entered, full of arrogance in her stride, normal of any Sith, Destro decided to not do the stupid thing for once, and leave her alone, for now. At least, that was the plan until she spoke, trying to poke fun at the other mercenary, and then, spoke himself.

"Well, judging by your posture, and, the way you hold that lightsaber, I'd say you were," He then chuckled out loud, finally drawing a look from Blake.

"Easy Destro," Blake cautioned

Destro just looked at the Sith, and spoke to Blake in a humorous tone. "Nah, I've taken it easy long enough. So, I wonder what a wannabe Sith like you is doing here?" He was waiting for her to launch one of the Sith's signature mental attacks, not having to move, but force their conscious onto another person. He wanted to know how well she'd stand up against Shade and Destro's iron will, something that had been hardened constantly by Shade and Destro's constant bickering, fighting for control over his body, and the fact that if provoked mentally, Shade would tear this Sith's mental strike to pieces in a heartbeat, and force Destro into a rage that even Blake had trouble calming him from. His smile widened, and his eyes had the fire of madness beginning to burn.

Blake spoke aside from Destro, trying to keep the situation from getting that far, as he didn't want to clean up another one of Destro's messes.

"As for a raid, it's been some time since we've done one, so, we're in,"

Meanwhile, in Destro's mind, Shade began chanting at the sight of the Sith.

KILL KILL KILL KILL....

This pointless showing off was irritating Nor'baal, it was rather plain to see for anybody with eyes. He raised a stubby hand and cut them all off. <''Silence. Get to the ship, we leave in 5 hours.''> said the Hutt, his displeasure plain in his voice. The room swiftly emptied of the Piggish Gammorreans, as the accompanied the Hutt to his Syee'y'bark ship.

A few days later....

Touching down with the grace and beauty of a hippopotamus with narcolepsy and a fetish for hitting itself into the ground, the Hutt's massive vessel punched up a small cloud of dust as it came into land at the spice mine. The boarding ramp slid down with a satisfying ''Thud'' and the 'majestic' figure of Nor'baal Vesajilic Diori, bedecked in Hutt Battle Armor appeared, surrounded by a veritable army of Guards and Mercenaries.

He took up position before the entrance gates, awaiting the arrival of Gordola, and activated his Armours speakers <''Open the gate, in the name of the Hutts!''>
