Arok looked down at the assembled people standing around him in a half circle and waiting to hear why they had been summoned to his apartment complex on Nar Shaddaa. He appraised them thoughtfully and with a critical eye mentally reviewed their abilities. Gemma, his ever faithful and highly capable engineer; was a fully capable slicer who's facilities with any sort of technology rivaled many of the agents and hackers that were employed by the various intelligence outfits out there;

Arok was happy that he had stumbled into her on that day in Nodja's shop on that fateful day. He had grown to depend on her to do his work for him, and she was slowly becoming indispensable to him - something that Arok was not happy with. Gemma's talents with technology as well as her facility with computers made her a valuable ally, as well as her reliability and knew that he had to find a way to undercut her growing influence or he might be potentially opening himself to his enemies.

Jaz Corban, his long time partner in crime and all around muscle whose abilities in the cockpit of a starfighter had made him an ace during his time in the old GA military. Jaz was the creator of the deadly Jaz Hands technique as well as being a top notch marksman, and was sure to be a tremendous asset when the inevitable trouble came their way - and trouble seemed to follow their every adventure for some unknown reason...

Arok was still unsure of why the human had 'fallen' to such low straights and become a part of the galaxies foremost criminal empire but he was happy that he had done so, as the red haired former pilot had helped him out immensely over the past year of their acquaintance and had netted him thousands of hundreds of credits due to their partnership in the Inkabunga Chawa track, as well as helping him reach the great position he had achieved so far - despite his former disgrace and loss.

The unforgettable Nodja Adiijiac Ot'oojisii whom without this entire operation wouldn't have even happened, was of course the linchpin holding this group together, as his knowledge of the Shell Hutt's, Hutt technology, and general street savvines was an unparalleled boon to this expedition. He would be the one who would lead them on this expedition - he IS a Hutt after all, even if he was a mutated freak - and his own formidable combat abilities (Arok was impressed at the tail blade that he had managed to create) would also be of help in any sticky situations that they might happen upon during their adventure.

And of course don't underestimate Shijo his ever faithful bodyguard and his three lieutenants' who were right now hard at work training an elite House guard for the Vosadii. The four of them made for a formidable and deadly team of warriors who specialized in different forms of warfare and complemented each other's style perfectly. They had already managed to quell the odd assassination attempt from his rivals into just a trickle of inept assassins who were sent as fodder to test his mettle. The four were exactly the ace in the card that Arok would be able to throw out if the game got rough and afforded him a getaway option if ever needed.

Arok nodded to himself - they had a good team assembled here, and Arok was sure that the mission would go off without a hitch. Opening his arms wide Arok bade them welcome and with a smile waved them to the huge table that was laid in the dining hall of the great Palace. "<Welcome to the Vosadii Palace, I am pleased that you all accepted my invitation, please -" he waved his arm expansively, beckoning them to enter "enter and enjoy the feast that I have prepared for you, marvel at the wonders of the dancers and other entertainers that are here at your pleasure, and open your minds for a grand tale and an opportunity of your lifetime. I assure you, the rewards will be well worth your time - and as a bonus, I have advanced five thousand credits as a small show of my appreciation for answering my call. There will be far more of that once the actual job is done>"

Arok grinned at the thought of that; if that wasn't a guarantee of their attention then he didn't know humans at all, or their motivations and he waited while FourZee promptly stepped forward and somehow managed to include everyone except for Gemma in his translation "Greetings mighty Jaz, Pilot extraordinaire and soldier supreme, Master and inventor of the all powerful Jazz Hands style; Nodja the Bearded, the most talented engineer and scientist on Nar Shaddaa, who's beard eclipses the finest gentlemen in the Galaxy and who's invention's baffle the poor humans and their limited minds-" here FourZee trained his photoreceptors on Gemma and his voice seemed to smirk at her before smoothly moving on "Arok the Magnificent, the Mighty and the Supreme bids you welcome to the Vosadii Palace, the most magnificent and great of all the spires on the Jewel that is Nar Shaddaa, highest and most great of the Hutt Kajidics -"

FourZee's monologue was abruptly cut short with a well placed tail slap to his torso from Arok "<Get on with it already, droid, we don't have time to stand here all day while you waste your breath on flowery discourse>". FourZee bowed hurriedly to Arok and turned once more to the circle of people this time speaking in a more clipped and business like tone "Arok bids you welcome to his Palace, and invites you to enjoy the entertainment, food and accommodations of the Vosadii. He further bids me tell you that you have all been advanced five thousand credits as a bonus for showing up and attending this meeting. He promises that riches beyond your wildest dreams will await you if you accept his offer" And with that, the droid shuffled to the side and ushered the group inside.

Gemma walked in and was one of the first to appear. She knew that Arok was going to be a great contact and over the last day or so came to the realization that it was his fault that she was as successful as she was within the Cartel, she wouldn't allow herself to forget that either. She waited patiently as the others slowly began to appear, all of which faces she had seen before. She glanced up to where Arok was and could see the glinting face of the idiotic Tinman, Gemma decided to slip her earpiece in and cover it with some of her hair.

“Glitch, run the Smarties. I hate it when Tinman translates for Arok.”

“Yes ma'am, I think its because that Hutt doesn't regulate his memory wipes.”

“Keep personal things like that to yourself, or I may regulate my memory wipes for you too. Arok is good... people? And has been nice, so show some respect to him. That droid though, ignore it.”

Gemma returned the somehow sarcastic feeling she received from the Tinman as it began to speak. When Arok swatted the stupid thing, Gemma couldn't help but chuckle to herself, even if nobody else did. Gemma's chuckling turned into a full out beaming smile when she heard about the advance and glanced around the gauge the other responses. When it came time, Gemma sat at the large table and couldn't decide which to taste first. She gripped a large goblet in her seemingly dwarfed hand and sipped from it. Some kind of wine that danced playfully on her tongue. Arok sure did know how to impress people, she would need to remind him of that.

Yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah flowery speeches That is what Jaz was thinking as he listened to the droid talking, it was nearly the same with every droid that translated for the hutts..never straight to the point but rather going the long way around

"..."smirking ever so slightly when Arok told the droid to get on with it it finally went a lot quickly and soon the droid had finished talking but looking around at the table Jaz really was quite uncomfortable with the huge amount of food that was on display being from the military Jaz wasn't so used to the amount of food and entertainment that hutts liked to throw for their parties..but the red head could guess the reason behind all of this which was to impress the guests and to show off the hutt's wealth to everybody.

Sitting on a chair he glanced around to see who else was invited and notice that everybody at the table was somebody Jaz knew one way or another like Nodja, so that was good he wouldn't have to introduce himself or at least figure out how good they would be in a fight..well he had no idea how well Nodja was in a fight..but no matter

Jaz simply sat there and listened once in a while trying out the wine that had been poured into the goblet..although Jaz would only drink small amount of wine incase they had to travel somewhere soon..drinking and flying didn't mix at all
