As a country and a people we refuse to get pushed around by bullies making idle threats. A lot of people will see this out of sheer defiance of these "terrorists" and no other reason.

Yeah, but i mean I don't get how this is specifically an american thing. I'm very tempted to go and watch it, but i don't go praising my country's name as a result. It's not yay country. It's yay me. Thats why i don't understand. Why is it america that is the thing that is doing this action?

Whenever terrorists, as an example, are airstriked by, say, France. Nobody goes "Oui, Viva La France!" as a saying. It's just 'Merica.

Probably because it's a Hollywood movie so all threats are assumed to be towards America. So as per usual, que silly PATRIOTISM **** YEAH.

Glad someone else is as boggled as i am. Don't get me wrong i live my country (not the people who run it), but i just don't get that aspect of patriotism.

If they aren't going to show it in theaters, I doubt they're going to do a DVD release. I don't know if Sony is delaying, or scrapping it entirely and I'm pretty sure they don't know either.
