Bac, could you give us a concrete number of ships still at Ando Prime and what type of ships they are? Tsar has already supplied information about the Republic fleet, and the Hutts have their numbers straight, but I don't think we ever got an actual number of ships that the Bogans are in possession of that remained behind.

That in and of itself was a danger; with only 50 capital ships and 10 corvettes left behind in orbit Ando Prime, combined with their planetary defenses of ground-based anti-spacecraft cannons dotting the Andobi Mountains, the planet sat isolated in space.

well as isolated as the third ( and last true planet body) in a fairly busy trade system can be.... which looking like a useless Iceball can be quite isolated :P

Yeah, how does a force using faction have 50 "Capital Ships?" Seriously, that's really pushing it to have 50 cruisers(only a portion of your total forces), when the Republic, an interstellar government with dedicated shipyards only fields about 2600.

Sorry, but I'm just a little confused by that.:CIsee If I'd known the Bogan actually had an armada, I would have brought more ships. What size/class are they?

Also, to clear this up for the billionth time, I have 100 CAPITAL SHIPS, and some corvette support vessels+transports.

Those capital ships range from frigates to a solid core of 50-60 main line battlecruisers. This is a Republic warfleet. The 15th, to be precise, and it isn't just a little posse of ragtag ships. It's a solid warfleet. Hopefully there is no longer any confusion.

I know Bogan got alot of ships from Jade Galactic before they splintered into the two different factions, ( though I have no idea what type or how many, Keanu and caged never really made that known) the others Im assuming they amassed by pirating, other underhanded deals with other bodies and what not...


and I'm not worried or thinking about the types of ships involved. in teh end its how you use them and act/react, and use strategy, tactic, exploiting flaws, and reading the field and planning several steps ahead that matters. ^_^

Oh, really? Well in that case, the ~2600 ships I listed are actually just the dreadnaughts. They each have fleets along with it. Don't change your numbers, you've said 100 ships multiple times, not 100 ships plus support.

As was said before, under Malgarr the Hutt (Kaeb), the treaty signed with Sheo's Bogan gave the Bogan 1/10th of the Hutt fleet. That works out to about 260 ships, some of them capital ships, some of them corvettes and other support ships. Other than what I said in the Era of the Bogan thread, though, there are no more specifics.

I had no idea about that size either, or else I would've been doing stuff with them a looooong time ago. However, it is what it is. We have on Ando Prime what I said in the Era of the Bogan thread, you guys have what you brought.

Rather than having a multi-post discussion about that, let's just all accept that the numbers are what the numbers are and RP this battle because the numbers can't change for either side.

There is the obvious flagship, Phoenix. It's a prototype variable role warship that's moderately advanced, if still a tad expensive to operate. Basically, right now, It's a battleship with a brutal short range armament that will absolutely shred ships at medium-close range. It is not like the solace spear artillery battleship.

The core of the fleet, at least 60-70 ships are main line cruisers or assault frigates. The rest are either carrier or anti-fighter type vessels.

In the assault the Republic took a few casualties in that first vicious firefight. They lost 2 cruisers and numerous corvettes and fighters. Also, minor damage on the rest of the first wave.

No, I don't believe it is so. Unless I'm mistaken in thinking that main line cruisers and assault frigates are capital ships. I would assume that a capital ship is supposed to be a big figurehead underneath the flag ship, maybe a dozen of them in a hundred-ship fleet. If you want to talk about unrealistic numbers of big-ass ships on the Bogan side, might not want to do the exact same thing, especially in the same post.

Psssst. Zach! I'm on your side, but there would be a lot more than a dozen in a hundred ship fleet (assuming its 100 capital ships).

I said 100 capital ships. I meant 100 capital ships. I mentioned the transports seperately, becuase in the first post of the orbit thread, it seemed he thought he outmassed me in terms of capital ships. He doesn't, he hasn't, he just isn't.

I've said this so much, I don't get how it's still in question. 100 ships of size FRIGATE AND UP. Other little ships may be there, but they are just negligible, like my fighters. They are an assumed part of a fleet. They don't boost my fighting ability because they're all transports/anti-fighter escorts for transports.

In terms of battle capability, I have 100 capital ships with strike craft.

50-60 cruiser/main battle ships.
20ish frigates/flank ships
8 carriers
12ish Point defense frigates.

TADA the republic fleet list. In that first post, I mention that I have a CnC ship, so include that in the fleet as well.


EDIT: Does this also mean that the Hutt fleet is short 260 ships? Since the Bogan have them?
