The passage of knowledge (Crunchy's Tràkata training)

[Will]

''You have learned well, Knight Kalza. There is one final test before I accept you have learned the skills of Tràkata from me.''

Huang drew a pair of lightsabres, his new shoto ready in his off hand.

''Fight me.''

Fighting a council member as a knight was trial enough. Let alone a Sword master, the greatest lightsabre wielder of the order. It would be tough, but if she showed enough skill and knowledge of the form, Huang would let her go.

 

[Mr. Crunchy]

Kalza drew her own lightsaber, remembering all the techniques she had been taught. She force jumped over Huang, making sure to blast his shoto with the force as she did so. Obviously, it would have knocked a knight's shoto right out of his hand but this was a councillor, it might just knock his hand back slightly. As she landed behind him, she ignited her lightsaber and brought it round to block any incoming attacks. She used the force to attempt to push Huang away again, this time using the force to run away a few paces then jump over him again, repeating the manoeuvre.

 

[Will]

Huang used the momentum caused by the push for his own move. He span, moving away from the padawan, dodging her attacks. He simply absorbed the second force push, the air seeming to haze around the shoto hand. He again dodged her blow.

''I will make this more simple.''


Both blades ignited, both orange blades throwing shadows across the room.

''Engage.''

 

[Mr. Crunchy]

Kalza charged forward, jumping at the last moment again and igniting her lightsaber in mid-air. She slashed downwards, before landing with a roll and igniting a force shield around for the duration of her time facing away from Huang. She turned around, and ran forward again, ducking down and slashing at his side as she passed him. The force pushed forward with her, making any normal or light slash simply bounce off her or a heavy blow slow down considerably.

 

[Will]

A spin to the side, and Huang was gone. As Kalza charged, Huang absorbed the force shield pushing against him. He ducked under the blade, and rose, arm pointed forward, where the hilt touched her neck. The shoto had been turned off.

''Dead.''


''Again.''

 

[Mr. Crunchy]

Kalza sighed, back-flipping over Huang and landing behind him. She would have ignited her lightsaber through his stomach, but he no doubt would have already turned to counter her. Before he could hit her, though, she was gone again, jumping to the side and pushing with a hugely powerful force pull to literally pull the swordsmaster into her blade.

 

[Will]

As she flipped over, Huang ducked, rolling to the side, before springing up to his feet. He felt the tug of the force. She was pulling him. He went with it, but, as he closed, a well aimed push into the ground sent him flying over her. He turned to face, stamping the ground with his foot. The blow reverberated through the arena, cracking the floor. Huang used the distraction to charge in a random pattern, before ducking in front of Kalza, and rising, both hilts pointed upwards, towards her chin. All his movements were, naturally, aided by force speed.

 

[Mr. Crunchy]

Kalza was also utilising Force Speed now, charging and ducking away from Huang's attacks. As he thrust upwards towards her chin, she used the Force to direct both his lightsabers to the side. However, she ducked and let the wall of Force go before she could no longer maintain it. Huang would have undoubtedly been trying to free his lightsabers from her Force grasp, but she released them suddenly and ducked down, rolling to the side. This would hopefully give her a few seconds advantage, and she went on a barrage of quick, force-aided attacks, leaping and spinning.

 

[Will]

Huang let his lightsabres go to the side, but moved with it, spinning fully, to meet her again when she began her barrage.

''Juyo''

With a seemingly tiny movement, Huang had suddenly switched from the back foot to on the attack, his own blows snapping thick and fast unpredictably. In this fight, Huang was using only a tiny portion of his skill in the form he is most associated using.

 

[Mr. Crunchy]

Kalza immediately recognised the violent, staccato attacks of Juyo. She adjusted her own form accordingly, dropping and swerving erratically to counter the powerful form.

 

[Will]

Huang admired the defence, she was certainly an adept wielder of the blade.

His leg swept around, a feint to cause the girl to move back, as both his arms came out, leaving an opening.

Back to testing her offence.

 

[Mr. Crunchy]

Kalza attacked with a vicious forward strike, not wasting a single opportunity in the duel. She knew Huang was a superior duellist, much so, and therefore only attacked timidly, keeping up a huge and solid defence.

 

[Will]

''Attack me, knight Duras. You must feel you can win. If you go into battle feeling you will lose, you will die. Confidence in your abilities.'' Huang swatted the attacks aside, but remained on the back foot.

''Attack.''

 

[Mr. Crunchy]

"I don't go into battles thinking I'm going to lose. I go into battles being careful, Master Karasu," Kalza said, suddenly leaping over the Jedi Master and attacking with a brutal (yet still defensive and careful) succession of slashes and thrusts.

 

[Will]

Huang spun, deflecting the indistinct attacks. ''You can be careful, Duras, but you seem to lack conviction when you do attack. Stop trying to hit me, and hit me.'' Huang gracefully leapt back, awaiting her riposte.
