The PLANTS
The PLANTS (stylized via the acronym for the six largest industrial, manufacturing and processing corporations) is an unofficial term used to indicate the urban cityscape of District Two in its entirety. From the Terminian Shipyards to Centerpoint Haven, the PLANTS encompassed the vast network of heavy industrial facilities, power plants and manufacturing factories. Of all the districts of DSC Daedalus, District Two's PLANTS was the fastest to develop, as many independent merchants and entrepreneurs sought to capitalize on the lenient policies and restriction that came with the Daedalus' independent status from the major powers in the galaxy. The PLANTS, while far less visited due to the pollution and sensitivity of much of its urbanscape, is considered to be the lifeblood of the DSC Daedalus, as many of the station's critical systems, recycling functions, life support modules and other vital autonomous apparatus are centered in the PLANTS. As a result, many areas of the PLANTS, aside from such areas as The Docks, are restricted from pedestrians and visitors alike.
